Problems with geological council and fishing after basement-patch

I play a clean game, no mods. I have all the packs, my game is patched with the lateest patch (basement patch).

This happened after I installed the latest patch:

My Sim lives on Pebble Burrow in Oasis Springs. It's a new game with no custom sims imported except the Sim I play; wich was made by me.

First thing I noticed, I didn't find the reward of the easter egg collection in my family inventory; as it was anounced on the notification wall. But it's there in the catalog, unlocked. So no big deal.

My Sim can call the geological council and send in the crystals and metals. Both count in the Curator Aspiration. But the council never sends the chemical elements. I have retried with another new game: same problem.

When my Sim travels to Willow Creek for fishing, there is no skill bar above his head and the hours he fishes don't count in the Angeling Aspiration.
The game gets real slow then.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't been getting geological samples back, but figured it was one of the mods I was using that I just haven't tracked down yet.

Well great, I just sent in a bunch of samples, we'll see if I get them back. My issue is my inventory, while I'm looking through it for something it will turn grey & I can't see anything unless I close inventory and open again and start all over. I was wondering if anyone was having trouble with that?

I also have a clean game with no CC or mods since I like to build and share houses. Also this is a new game that I started just a few weeks ago. Another thing I noticed is on vacation no matter how long I stayed where I know the walking stick bugs are (and have caught many in previous game) I never even saw a single one and she was there for a full Sim week.

Have any of you reported and/or "me-too'd" this here? http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs Bug reports get less lost among CC and mod reports there, and the me-too's help show devs how widespread a problem is.

I hadn't tested without my mods in yet, but, I added my Me Too.

    Thank you luthien rising!
I had the no cooking issue too.

Worked around all the issues by deleting the cache files: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-cache-files/

    EDIT:
The geological problem is still acute - Haven't found any solution yet.
