Basic Modern Starter is nice @gmcrozier The exterior of the home is nice, and it looks great how you have placed the windows in the build.. The raised garden bed looks very nice on the edges of the front corner of the home. The back and the white texture of the exterior looks nice. Nice open plan kitchen, dining and living layout of the interior of the home. The red colour of the walls looks nice. Sims will enjoy the sunlight coming into their bedroom whilst laying in bed, or enjoy looking out through the windows at the outdoors whilst resting on the sofa watching tv.
It is a great starter home
This End Up Starter is a great starter home @gmcrozier It looks nice how you have placed the windows in the build. The plants look nice how you have placed them on the front and side edges of the home. Great layout of the interior of the home. Nice corner nook sofa sitting area for sims to enjoy watching tv.
It is a nice starter.
Good Start is a very nice starter home @vickynini The open shutter flowerbox windows are very pretty! The type of white fencing that you have used suits the type of home. The blue colour and the texture of the exterior of the home is very nice. Nice backyard outdoors dining area. Sims will enjoy cooking meals on the grill there, and eating the food in the sunshine at the picnic table. It is nice that you have a curved back patio in the build. Very nice layout of the interior of the home. The blue colour scheme of the kitchen and dining area is very nice. The bar stool counter is great! The floor rug in the master bedroom adds a nice look in the room.
It is a very nice home
A modern, airy starter house, with cheerful paint colours inside and plenty of room to expand. I haven't don't anything with the garden on this one (I hate doing gardens).
Curvy Lightbox Starter is very nice! The curved roofing looks very nice! It looks nice how you have used the large windows, creating a nice light filled home where sims can enjoy looking out through the windows at the outdoors views as well as enjoying the sunshine coming in. Very nice curved front and back porches. Sims will enjoy cooking meals outdoors in the air on the BBQ. The layout of the interior of the home is very nice. Nice living and study room for sims to enjoy sitting relaxing on the sofa watching TV, with the sunshine coming in through the windows or enjoy sitting at the desk table using the computer and having a read of a book from the bookshelf. The green, yellow and blue colours of the walls in the home look very nice.
It is a very nice starter
Molesim Allotment Starter is a very nice starter! @EmmaVane! The idea and design of it is great! It is great that the living area is in the basement! Sims will enjoy growing and harvesting plants in the garden beds that you have prepared outdoors. The yellow sunflowers looks nice against the brown colour of the wooden exterior of the home. The lavender plants are nice touches in the outdoors areas. Sims will enjoy sitting on the log themed seats in the sunshine amidst the lavender plants. The lamp looks nice on the log stump table. Nice layout of the basement level. The green colour scheme of the bedroom looks nice. It looks great how yiu have placed the green floor rugs in the room. Nice corner sofa seat sitting nook for sims to enjoy relaxing watching TV or reading a book.
It is a great starter home
The bedroom "rugs" are actually water lily plants. They make great rugs though because they layer nicely and are resizable. I wish all the rugs came in a small size and were resizable.
I wanted to do more with the inside, but ran out of funds. The outside is the important part on this lot though.
There is plenty of room left on that basement level to expand, as well as the level below untouched.
Starving Artist Starter is very nice ! @gmcrozier Very nice design of the exterior! The roofing is very nice! The intersecting stone texture going into the wooden wall at the front of the home gives a very nice look to the home! The red coloured door look nice on the wooden wall. The flowers are nice touches either sides of the front steps. Lawrence will enjoy painting on the easel in the sunshine on the back patio. Very nice layout of the interior of the home! The living room alcove is very nice! The blue and the orange walls look great for a painter! The enlarged leafy picture on the wall is nice for sims to see whilst sitting there on the sofas resting and watching. They will enjoy the sunshine coming into the room through the large windows. The blue wall tiling in the kitchen looks nice. Sims like looking out through the kitchen window at the outdoors whilst washing the dishes, and enjoy listening to music from the radio whilst cooking and dining. The large butterflies picture on the wall near the front door is pretty for sins to see as they enter the home. Lawrence will like sitting at the study desk table using the computer. The red and the blue colours of the bedroom wall look great together. It is nice that you have bedhead windows for sims to see sunshine coming on the bed in the mornings. The white wall and floor tiling in the bathroom looks very nice! Lawrence is a very nice sim!
The home and your painter sim is very nice
First, I apologize for not having read everything in this post, but I don't have that much time right now and since it's picture heavy, my laptop will need an eternity to load all those photos. I only just discovered this thread, but I have made quite a few starter homes by now, most of them back in September/October. A lot of those are remakes from TS1/TS2, but with a Sims 4 touch, they don't really look all that great, I was just starting out with this new build mode then... The latest are the ones for Newcrest (my own designs and they look nicer I think).
I'll just link the ones under $20.000*, but I have a few that are just over it, suitable if you have a slightly bigger family. (* that is without the price for the lot, I'm just doing this via the online Gallery, so they'll be about $2.000 more expensive when you use them)
I'll go easy on the pictures (they're from the Gallery anyway, so not really all that interesting) Pictures are from the link placed above them.
The Bachelor - $13.440; 1 bed, 1 bath - made after one of the premade homes from TS1, the house I always let Michael Bachelor live in. The Newbie - $12.395; 1 bed, 1 bath - remake of Bob and Betty's home from TS1. Start Classic - $15.316; 1 bed, 1 bath - after the house of one of the Sims 2 tutorials. Strangetown Small - $14.779; 1 bed, 1 bath - remake of my favourite starter from Strangetown (TS2).
The Peterson - $14.127; 1 bed, 1 bath - inspired by the design I used for the first house I ever built for my Sims (the Peterson family). Modern Simple - $16.318; 1 bed, 1 bath - apartment type floorplan, I used to use these for my richer students in TS2 (before I had Apartment Life and built an actual apartment building with them).
Humble Abode - $17.063; 2 bed, 1 bath - after one of the premades from Sims 2. Family Starter - $17.500; 2 bed, 1 bath - made after one of my favourites from TS2 Pleasantview. 22 Canal Close - $17.926; 1 bed, 1 bath - my second cottage for Newcrest - the other one is just slightly more expensive and equally cute.
For those of you that filter out signatures, my OriginID is the same as my username here, in case you want to check out my other creations (mostly houses and rooms, a few Sims).
Should I make more starters (I think I will at some point), I'll try to remember to link them here
I can't post links or pictures yet, because I'm a new member, but I've built two starter homes in Newcrest. If you want to check them out, my ID on the gallery is vepeixoto03 and the houses are Newcrest Starter and Newcrest Starter 2. Hope you like it... :)
