  • I don’t know about dislikes, but for likes they definitely affect autonomy. I have a sim who likes gardening, and when I’m not controlling him, he often goes up to his plants and talk to them lol (whereas he never did this before the update).
  • I agree with all this. It’s so frustrating how every negative moodlet seem to inevitably be overpowered by positive ones, making the sims happy all. The. Time, which is just plain unrealistic. It’s such a shame as I really enjoy the game otherwise (and the emotions system as a concept, too, just not in execution) I really…
  • Like some others it was a tough choice between generations and romance for me. But ultimately I went with generations as IMO any romance overhauls or additions are better suited in a patch update than a pack, while there’s a lot of potential for certain life stages to be fleshed out (better teens especially please!) with a…
  • Boy do I have some thoughts. But here’s two off the top of my head for now: 1) I actually like the emotions in this game. I’ve seen many that say the game would be better off without them, but for me it really helps flesh out the inner lives of my sims and makes it easier for me to grow attached to them; knowing how they…
  • Sigh, how do I put this without offending anyone... Look, no offense to the OP and those who agree with them, but this thread comes off as really nitpicky. Of all the things that could go wrong with this pack...you're seriously choosing to complain about the walk-style of the skeletons, of all things? And starting an…
  • OP...you were brought to this planet for one reason and one reason only..and that is to stay devoted to yourself whilst exerting every fiber of your being without shame. So you like the sims 4. Uh-oh. Oops. "Herpity-derp-derp-derp", some would say. Well guess what? You continue to like it. Indulge in it. You let that…
  • Improvements to sim AI, improvements to emotions, and more (dire) consequences. That's all I need from them before we move on.
  • Eh, you can't really define "corporation" without using the word "greed" anyway, so waving your pitchforks around raging on and on about specifically EA doing this seems a little counter-intuitive I would say. I hate to be the one to play captain obvious around here, but the only way to work around this is to spend your…
  • That part about being able to understand your sim...so true. Simlish from what I've gathered from my game: Dag-dag = bye-bye Tsul = hi Yatzaboo = yuck (?) Fenue = random cuss word Walikay = random cuss word Revuda = gross (?) Flémon = what guy-sims say when flirty Yibz = yes Uh-oh <-- toddlers actually say this whenever…
  • I agree with you about sims 4 needing more dire consequences in general (it's one of my major issues with this game), but I can attest with confidence that this isn't true (not IME, at least). My sim has just recently became enemies with Don after a break-up in my game, and since then any interaction I've spammed on him…
  • Windenburg is a definite winner to me. Not only do I like it best aesthetic-wise, but premades-wise as well. Windenburg has imo the best townies of any world, the entire town just feels so connected, and the townies themselves full of life.
  • I just thought of something: adding to what I said about there being more trait-exclusive moodlets, said moodlets should also DEFINITIVELY have a buff higher than +1 or even +2. They should be +5 at least. That's the only way we can really see the effects traits have on sims, otherwise all the trait-exclusive moodlets are…
  • Really? :o Lol I didn't know that, I guess it's because I don't play with the hot-headed trait much. Thanks for pointing those details out, that trait does sound like one of the better ones. If only all traits were that impactful...*sigh*
  • I honestly think there should just be a stronger tie between emotions and traits. As of now, the only tie between them are the occasional trait-based moodlets that sims with certain traits sometimes get (i.e. feeling flirty, etc.), other than that, traits don't really influence emotions that much and hence all sims get…
  • I doubt previous games would've had this either as that would be considered murder, and the sims have never included murder as an interaction (and probably never will). So it's not like it's unique to ts4 or anything.
  • Shouldn't this thread belong in the feedback section? It'd be more productive then.
  • So from what I'm seeing here, it seems that AI and gameplay go hand-in-hand. Am I right in assuming this?
  • @Cinebar - That example was beautiful :) I'm enjoying ts4 as of now, but I wish it had AI like that. The storytelling it could've provided, combined with the expressive animations, would've been amazing. *sigh*
  • 100% realism for me - I use my game to explore and play out concepts that I wouldn't dare venture in real life; mysogyny, masochism, and polygamy are just a few of them.
  • Thanks for your explanations guys - I think I have a better understanding of it all now.
  • Double posted.
  • Parenthood. It feels like everything I've ever wanted wrapped-up in an early Christmas gift - it was the first time, I feel, that a sims game allowed me to create gradual character development for my sims as they transition from birth to death; something which I've always wanted in the storylines I build for them. I also…
  • Parenthood is as if they've combined everything I've ever wanted from the sims (in general, not just ts4) into a single 20£ pack. I knew it the moment I first heard of this pack - I just knew this was going to be that one essential pack that will change my game forever; and my gut instincts were correct. It just had it all…
  • This isn't even about expressing negative opinions anymore; the OP is making this about the players. That's why this isn't going to end well.
  • 1. What was your favorite pack released this year and why? My favorite pack released this year is without a doubt Parenthood. I love it solely for the fact that it allows my sims to shape their kids up to be however way I want them to; it makes for some great character development - something that I haven't seen before in…
  • I literally just got Outdoor Retreat -at full price- one day before the sale -_- Should've waited
  • That's right; @RebelShadowKitten - this thread is meant as a space of sorts for people to express opinions they have which they deem to be unpopular (though some discussion is always welcomed as long as it doesn't go overboard); not to zero in on other people's lists and disagree with their opinions one by one just for the…
