@JoAnne65 I hear you. I hate the fact that I would have to buy something to know if I like it or not. Nobody knows better than me what I'm looking for. Watching game-play and reading reviews will only go so far, unless you can find someone that has your exact same tastes. I know it might not be the best method, but for me…
When I first saw "City Living" it reminded me of "Night Life" from sims 3. Then I see this Exp and I think, "Night Life" from sims 3. It seems as though they took "Night Life" and broke it into two Exp and one SP. Yes, they added a little bit to it, but they came with limitations as well. I'm pretty sure the small worlds…
I never like the whole system they use to put out new content with TS4. It just seems like a way to milk more money from you. Of course it's completely optional, but we all know that it's an illusion, just like the core of the game is based on illusions, shortcuts, and limitations. Now they want to take it one step further…
This shouldn't surprise anyone. SWBF2? Mobile gaming practices are worming their way into this franchise. I would be really worried about a Sims 5, if there is any.
Welcome to the internet. Lots of armchair annalists and developers out there, like me..lol Frankly I tend to be suspicious of anything on the internet unless it's from a source I trust. I have a relative who has been a software engineer in the gaming industry for 16+ yrs and I have learned that you have to take everything…
That is overall performance across all games. Their sports games are their number one seller along with their mtx. The sims 4 is a very small percentage of that. The only reason it's still a game is there is no competition for it along with the fact that they sell you more game play in small slices that allow them to keep…
You have to take anything EA says with a grain of salt. I'm sure they had a long life span planned for Mass Effect Andromeda as well and within 6 months of release the series was put on ice for an indefinite period of time. "Things change" that should ring a bell for sims fans. They may have long term plans for sims 4, but…
Interest in games always comes and goes. I have been on a hiatus from sims 3 for a little over a year now and I'm just getting that urge to play it again. It's always been my favorite game and most likely, always will be. OP, if you have to force yourself to play a game, then it's probably safe to say that your not ready…
I narrowed it down by thinking about the one EP I couldn't play the game without and the winner is Generations. Luckily, I can play with all of them! Besides, what EP trailer is better than the one for Generations!
Just fyi for some using Origin. Origin can be really finicky when it comes to browsers. I had a problem of not being able to cancel my EA Access. It kept coming up with an error when I tried. After contacting EA help, we were able to get it to work by using IE browser. I typically use Pale moon which was the 64 bit version…
Hidden Springs would be my favorite with SV being second. I love mountain type worlds and Hidden Springs fits my style. I was able to make a couple changes with CAW to add spots so I could incorporate a few more lots and it's perfect for my play style.
I would say, lets wait to see what sims 5 brings (if there is one) and go from there. I'm guessing though that if there is one, it will be playable across all platforms. Which means light on content and heavy on monetization. Just have to look at the studio heads background and that may give you an idea on what to expect…
I don't think I want to see a sims 5. It will probably have loot Boxes and or a mobile games type monetization. Even more likely, it will be playable on mobile devices. I wouldn't worry, I don't think they are done milking this cow quite yet.
It's most likely to keep the load times down and keep the game more stable. I'm sure a mod will come to the rescue and do what should have been done it the first place.
Your probably spot on. The game is severely limited in space so somethings will be cut. I do think though that they should be made available and let the player decide if they want to use space for one or not.
Welcome to game development in 2017. Bugs are by design it seems. If you think Sims 4 has bugs, take a look at Mass Effect Andromeda which dropped today. More visual and game play bugs than you can shake a stick at. It's just not Sims 4. Though Maxis and Bioware have something in common, EA...
I can't say for sure since i don't have vamps and I'm not currently playing TS4. I did checkout the toddlers though which I thought were well done. I would still go with toddlers. In TS3 I enjoyed witches the most followed by Fairies. Didn't really like any other occult states.
I'm sure I saw at one time a world or two based on Australia. I don't think it was ever posted in these forums though. I will see if I can find them again and link them here.
