    Scheduled Site Maintenance????

    so they gave us wishlists....which dumb as hell seeing as nobody would waste their sim points they paid for on giving a stranger something they want, BUT THEY DIDN'T FIX THE MESSAGING?!

    a tad redonkulous if you ask me......

      I found it great that such big site does only 1 time in a half year a maintenance! That means they are doing really great job :)

      The site is loading alot faster for me, dunno if that's anything to do with the maintenance though. And upto now........ no HTML Errors! o.O

      Yeah, same for me....I'm actually able to access some features that wouldn't work before.

      Messages would be great but I don't see how they could control or monitor such a big site with Messages.

      you shouldn't have to monitor messaging, just if somebody reports you. the messaging is already half set up on here, it would be nice to not have to make a thread to ask one person one thing, thats why i put up my myspace address but not everyone can do that (like 13 year olds and such)

      That's not quite how it works.
      Example? Youtube. That are VERY large and still include personal messaging.

      That's why they won't add messaging. They don't want anyone talking "privatly" because there are kids here. They want all the talking to be done out in the open, which I can understand.
      Comments on peoples pages/creations is probably the best we can hope for. It would solve the problem of having to make a forum topic with someones name to get their attention. It would also be viewable by all, so nothing innapropriate can be said.

      I was actually getting that for the last few days while using firefox. I had to use explorer. Now it's clear with firefox.

      why didnt sim 2 forum care? thats been around for years and the messages werent completely private, they were like comments on your sims page. i liked that a lot,and then other people could see what people thought of your creations and such

      Every site these days have messages, and the fact that they allow us to create but not get proper feedback is just plain stupid.

      Baha, I'm with you guys on this one. Plus me wants to message the kiddies.

      I would have preferred something really useful, and helpful to me.

      Something like a "Downloads" Feature, keeping track of all of my accumulated Downloads even after I have deleted a creation from my page, so that the hard fought points I gained from an upload wouldn't be lost, and I would be able to retain credit for them. We get to keep our total Recommendations and Creations statistics, but not our total Downloads. I often keep a creation that has performed fairly well on My Page just to keep it's statistics. I would rather like to repost a redo as my creative talents increase, to hopefully gain better performance. Losing my gained downloads numbers is an inhibiting factor in this practice.

      Something like a "My Feedback" Feature, so I could read what people that have downloaded my creations think about them, and others visiting my page could do so as well. This way, I would be able get some valuable feedback about what I have created, and some encouraging advertisement to help others to decide to partake of what I am sharing with the community.

      And yes, of course, messaging!
