New Laptop

Do people still frequent this message board enough to help? I'm getting a new laptop - I'm in Canada and am probably just going to go to the local Best Buy. Are these 2 good? I'm not looking for crazy graphics but I have most of the expansions and too much CC/mods. Honestly my last laptop's processor wasn't even good enough for the game and I still somehow managed a few years out of it. I want something slightly better this time around...

The Dell's specs seem much better but I'm trying to decide if that price difference (even at just $100 ) is worth it.
Simmer since 2001. Sticking with TS3.

Nobody here but us chickens. We don't know you, go away. (just kidding) >:)

They both look fine to me. The Dell has more RAM and a more powerful processor. The Acer probably has a better reputation for withstanding wear and tear, but that can be hit or miss on many models. On both of them, the SSD is too small to install/run the game so it will have to be installed on the HDD. You will also want to shift the entire Documents folder (so that includes the TS3 user game folder as well) over to the HDD. Unfortunately having a bigger SSD to work with drives the price tag up.

If you can stand to wait a bit (hours, not weeks), perhaps another responder can stop by and offer a second opinion or other suggestions available in Canada. BestBuy isn't always what its name suggests, although sometimes they can hit that mark.

Asus or MSI might be better choices in laptop brands. Have you tried looking at newegg Canada? They seem to have better deals https://www.newegg.ca
