Below my house foundation I have a basement I would like to have stairs leading down too. But it looks like this inside the foundation! It's grey and untextured and I can't texture it! It looks dreadful
Right now there isn't a way to do this I believe. Hopefully this will be addressed in the future patches or something.
Looks so ugly...this is why i don't use foundations when i want to create house with a basement...

Well there may be an easier way to do this but this is how I know to do it.
First you have to section off the part you want to place the stairs. I removed the front wall you you can see better.
Then use the sledgehammer and remove the floor.
Add your foundation pattern
Delete the walls around where you sectioned off, except for the exterior walls if any. You can leave the walls if a room is right next to the step-down.
Add your basement, stairs, step-down stairs, and your floor tiles. You can turn your stairs any which way as you see I did it differently this time.

Wow, thank you so much for the quick little tutorial! My own stairs at my house have one of those weird 45-degree angles midway through, I wonder if I could use this concept to build those? You are Insightful'd, thanks again for taking the time to do it!
Although I wish I could use a different foundation pattern than the pattern im using on the exterior. It's a bit buggy.. trying to texture the inside here textures some of the outside foundation as well (since its like a bucket tool). I wish we could paint them one block at a time like you can with wallpaper..

But overall, better than before. Thank you
Wow this looks really cool @coldplay2233 , I can see you put a lot of care into building and detail.

Add some fences if you want.

Saying "not to be rude", then blatently being rude does not excuse rude behavior.

That's exactly what it is I have more screenshots of the build, and it's also featured in a Machinima.
