Hello
I am looking for some help with a problem that has been troubling me for a long time.
The problem
Whenever I try to play the Sims 4 I get the blue screen of death within 10 minutes, it doesn't matter if I am building, in CAS or live mode.
I can use other applications fine Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender,
I can play other games (Sim City and my brother plays GTA5 a lot)
PC is generally slow so I usually work on my laptop but its just not built for gaming at all
I have all expansion/stuff/game packs baring anything released this year
What I have tried
Lowest possible Sims 4 Settings
Reinstalling OS
More RAM
Virus checking
Disk Defrag & clean up
Updated all my drivers and OS software
Hardware cleaning (dusting out the insides)
Turning off startup applications
Tuning the performance and lowering the appearance etc settings
Possibly more, nothing seems to work
PC Details
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti Boost
214 GB free of 500GB on hard drive (considering buying new SSD)
I thought I would be happy when PS4 version came out and was going to reinvest in all the packs but it's just not the same at all.
Please can anyone help understand why I have difficulties
