HELP! I CAN'T FIND SOLUTION ONLINE! My Level 5 Singer Can't Doesn't Have Option to Get Gig Anywhere

So I have played the singer career no problem before. But for some reason there's a glitch where the game thinks my sim is still at level 1 and won't allow her to to get gigs even at the big park because "I'm not ready yet". I don't even see proprietors on the map as an option. I've tried quitting and rejoining but the problem just keep coming back, in fact when she rejoins the career she doesn't start back again a level 1. Just the previous level or the same one. Please help, apparently no one else is having this issue online! :s

I found that using some custom content can screw up the singer career. I had my singer at Level 5 but she was told not good enough to perform here. Changed her work clothes and shoes to standard ones. Then she stared getting gigs. If this isn't the cause it may be best to save your sim and start over.Hope this helps.
