Sims 3 Launcher Issues w/ Origin & Can't Play

I'm pretty sure there is already threads like this but I have origin and my sims 3 base game and expansion packs loaded on to my windows 7 laptop. I go under origin to click play on my sims 3 and then it opens up the game launcher, which I click play. And it closes out the launcher like it might start playing but it never does. It doesn't even appear in the task bar. What do I do?

hi @kirstinmcginty and welcome see if resetting your game data files helps. move to the desktop my documents/electronic arts/sims 3 and try a test game if this works save and exit. you can move back old files into new but test each move for problems
