Sound crackling and popping in game

I got the Sims 4 last week and the sound and music in my game is crackling and popping everything else has been working perfectly except for an occasional bug I've looked it up and in there has been a few people in the past with the same problem, but no answers I have tried changing my audio settings but nothing has worked so far it's only my Sims game with the problem no other games I play does it i'm not the best with computers so it might be something i'm overlooking any help is appreciated.
