can't invent the cloning machine?

it says to invent the cloning machine in the work bar but when i click on the inventor it's greyed out. it says required 0/2 but doesn't say what's required??

Check your sims notepad.

but in the invention panel on the inventor thing it says 0/2 required. what's required??
