"incompatible" error message HELP!!

I have the standard sims 3 base game, which i have download high end loft stuff&ambitions on with no problems, but i lost the disk so i no longer have these two expansion packs on my computer. Recently i bought sims 3 pets, when i downloaded it i got an error message saying "sims 3 base game is incompatible with the current sims 3 expansion pack. Please update your game via the game launcher." I have updated my game 6 times which took almost 3 hours each time, and when the downloads finished I still received the same message. I tried uninstalling and re installing origin and still got the same message. I don't know what else to do HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You might try updating the game manually with the superpatch:

Next time you try to download the EP, use the Download button that is found after you click the i button on the game icon in Origin. The Download button you find after clicking i doesn't have this bug.
