TS3 is my favorite out of the bunch, but I do like all the games. I didn't include Sims 1 because I hardly remember it. I mainly did a lot of building with that one.
Sims 2:
- The cutscenes. I really liked those. Especially the one for having a baby, where the plumbob split in two.
- The memory panel. I prefer the way they did memories in 2 than in 3. The scrapbook isn't a nuisance, but a panel is just simpler.
- The way cheating worked. Granted, I didn't try cheating much in 3, but I remember in 2, I had a sim cheating on her husband. When she and her boyfriend were sleeping in bed together (not woohoo, actually sleeping), her child daughter came downstairs, saw, and started crying. Her relationship with her mother went down by twenty points. And she stayed there. Wouldn't do any action until I move her or them (can't remember which). I thought it was sad and cute.
- You could order Chinese food at university.
Sims 3:
- The open world. That was a breath of fresh air to me!
- Create-A-Style. I use that tool way too much.
- Graphics. I honestly prefer TS3's over 2's and 4's. Especially the hair.
- Traits system. I like it much better than the personality points system.
- The Supernatural expansion. It's my favorite out of every EP ever made!
- How they got rid of joined union. I hated that!
- It may have been in TS2 and I didn't notice, but I once had a male child dress up in a princess gown. Yay! No gender roles in pretend!
Sims 4:
- The emotions. It's a pretty cute feature, and it makes me want to take even better care of my sims! I hate to see them unhappy.
- The build mode. Love it!
- The selfies and foodie pics. It's funny to see my take a snapshot of their food, and I think it's cute how when two sims get very close in relationship, they'll take a lot of pictures together. You'd think I'd get tired of it, but nope. I just smile.
- How the aspirations have steps and you can switch at any time.
- That the voices have names now.

Sims 2:

Sims 3:
Gardening. I loved it!
Story Progression
Toddlers
Craftier genetics.
Sims 4:
Still working on that one.
I love how we have through out all the games how the original characters! :-).
In sims to did anyone ever find Bella Goth in Strange Town?
I love looking at all the different and new clothes the sims game have to offer.
The sims 4 is the best one buy far, it's what the sims three should of been. I loved the sims 3 as it had so much stuff in it and seasons was my fav ep. I liked the tricking treating in Sims 3, the costumes where super cute!
The sims three had too much i think and game performance always suffered cos of it.
1. Was my intro to the sims, it has that nostalgia magic
2. Making Magic. Never really liked the supernatural EPs, but this one!
3. It was simple, and easier to build. Now it's all detail, I'm just not that good at building stuff
4. The custom content! Searching the net, hunting for cool stuff was a game in itself.
5. The vacation EP also sticks out as a nice memory
6. Importing your sims to SimCity was neat
I'll admit, I don't remember much more than that...
Sims 2:
1. Live mode had huge improvements, Illness, acne etc. (not all negative ones, but those are the ones i remember on the fly...) Really seemed like a lot of thought and care went in to making the game.
2. had a lot of great EPs Nightlife, OFB(Perhaps the most versatile EP of all time?)
3. Able to buy additional real estate!
4. Cars were done right
5. Restaurants were done right
6. Mod the sims
I Actually just picked up the beefed up version on the mac appstore, so I'm playing this a bit now.
Sims 3:
1. Collecting stuff
2. All that awesome content. Alot of great content showed in the store towards the end
3. The scenery
4. CASt, even tough it had it's faults (hard to navigate and slow interface, when it was stacked to the brim with content) I'll miss that feature
I actually didn't like Sims 3 that much. I thought the sims were 🐸🐸🐸🐸, hated the rabbitholes and felt like it was lacking some of the magic. All the content really helped it along though. So much to build and do towards the end. The open world was nice, but cars and routing sort of messed it up. Cars just popped up when you needed one, and walking/running around was weird. Lets just say my sims usually took the scenic route...
Sims 4:
1. The worlds, the areas around the lots are really good looking.
2. How the sims look, and general artstyle
3. Rabbitholes are gone
4. Multitasking really changed the game, for the better.
5. High bills makes the game challanging.
6. The careers are fun to play. Advancing requires diffrent goals, so do aspirations
I see a lot of potential for The Sims 4. There are some features lacking at the moment, thats sure. Given time I'm sure this will be one of my favourite instalments. Perhaps the best base game IMO.
Disagree button... not there... rage... building... must... disagree... strongly...
