Can't run SIMS4

Whenever I run SIMS4 from Origin this window prompts: imgur.com/igvCPjl
I've tried re-install/repair the game, re-install Origin, and I've also set the TS4.exe to be running under NVidia graphic card.
I don't have any sims4 custom package installed.
The create-a-sim demo works fine for me but the release game just won't start.
Please help, my OS version is Windows 8.1 x64.

Hi Chiuup, can you try removing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable" from "Programs and Features" (accessed by typing in the start menu)

Once that's finished, please try running the Sims 4 install again, it should automatically replace those; if it does not, download it directly from microsoft here:

You might need to Do the DEP thing.
open control panel and click system and security,
    Then open system
Click on the advanced tab, click the settings button for performance.
Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab
Check "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:"
Click on add, and browse to your sims 4 exe.
I don't have the game but I'm sure it will be in
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\the sims 4\game\bin.
    Then click ok.
    Restart your pc.
Here are the instructions for the sims 3
    http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Data_Execution_Prevention/TS3W
Should be the same thing but with the sims 4 exe instead of the sims 3.

Removed that two redistributable and now re-downloading SIMS4, will get back to you once it's done.

@chesterbigbird -- I don't know about chiuup's machine, but *I* myself cannot put the executable file for TS4 into the DEP. I've tried doing that over and over and .... etc. and each and every time I get the same pop up message .... DEP needs to be turned on. It is *already* turned on!

it could be that.. but I have never come across that error before, I'm sure it has something to do with windows and not the game.

doesn't it have something to do with .NET Framework? Do you have it enabled in Windows?

    The error is:
An unhandled win 32 exception occurred in ts4.exe

    possible debuggers:
new instance of Microsoft visual studio 2010 and 2013

I was kind of thinking that.
I didn't have the time to research the error.
I myself have not seen that error before.

After googling.. one solution was to turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only.

    @chesterbigbird
I'm having a similar problem, but I have vista and it's not letting me turn on DEP for sims 4, it says "this program must run with data execution program (DEP) enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program" I've tried about everything to fix it

Sorry at the moment I do not have an answer for the issue.. but yes dep doesn't work for ts4.
There are still several issues I know about that I cannot solve with ts4.
