Beauty and the Beast (Inspired) Challenge

I am sure there is a challenge similar to this one somewhere out there, but this is an idea that has been on my mind ever since Supernatural came out and introduced werewolves. I will also be doing a challenge of it soon on my YouTube channel, so I wanted to write out the rules and my thoughts.

Main Objective: Fall in love with the Beast and then break the evil curse, or as an alternative, earn $15-20,000 Simoleons to settle Belle's father's debt through collecting and completing minuscule tasks and opportunities, so Belle will be free to leave the castle and never return.

Basic Rules:

1. Create Beauty and the Beast. They do not have to have those names, call them Martha and Steward if you really want to, but they still should be based primarily around the Disney's version. Remember that Beast is... well, a beast. Whether you make him handsome yet extremely crude, or if you make him "Beastly" in appearance, it is all good. Just try to refrain from making him like Prince Charming.

2. No expansion pack should be required; base game works fine. However, Late Night and/or Supernatural will surely enhance this challenge. For story emphasis, it would be wise to make him a werewolf, or even a vampire if you have Late Night. A spell has to be broken at the end of it all so keep that in mind.

3. As for traits, again they should revolve around Disney's Belle and Beast. An example of Belle's traits: Good, Friendly, Bookworm, Hopeless Romantic, and Family-oriented. An example of Beast's traits: Hot-headed, Inappropriate, Loner, Hopeless Romantic, and Brave... He's not all bad, of course, but it will be more of a challenge if you throw in some "difficult" traits like hot-headed or evil.
*Please note, if you prefer more of a challenge, make certain Beast has the inappropriate trait so therefore you have to allow him to make the first move and kiss Belle. If you prefer easier challenges, try to give Belle the Neat or Natural Cook trait as it will come in handy later on.

3. This particular rule depends on the situation. If you give them clashing traits, it should not be easy to build up their relationship... if it is too hard and they seem to be fighting constantly out of their own free will, then intervene and give them good things to do and talk about. Romantic interactions should not be picked so early on, unless they are doing it out of their own free will.
On the other hand, if you find it too easy just to "intervene" and choose what they should talk about, then set a limit of 5 or 10 social interactions per day. Again, this rule depends solely on how well your Beast and Beauty are getting along.

4. It would be accurate to make them live in a castle or creepy mansion, designed appropriately. It should be oozing with richness and royalty, yet dark and gloomy. Beast gets the master bedroom and access to any objects while Belle gets the crappiest of things (at least in the beginning). You can design the property as lavish as you wish, but ALL of the furniture (toilets, stoves, fridges, bathtubs, etc.) cannot be self-cleaning or unbreakable. Also, a gate around the property would be a nice touch.

5. Even if Beast wants to clean, stop him. He is your master. You obey him. Find Belle as many chores as possible, whether it be tending the gardens, beekeeping, gathering eggs from the chicken coop, or raking leaves.

6. There isn't much point to keep a tally of all your earnings if you are playing for love... In the beginning, Belle will not have access to grocery stores, bookstores, etc., so Beast will have to be the one to go out and find any necessary items if you wish to plant a garden or something.

7. If Beast has enough lifetime reward points and you feel his current negative traits are preventing you from succeeding in their relationship, feel free to purchase Mid-life Crisis and change his "bad" traits to something more workable. However, Belle has to love Beast for who he is, no matter his flaws. It'll be awkward to suddenly make him a kleptomaniac-Never-Nude-Social-Butterfly Sim.

8. If playing with Beast as a werewolf, try as much as possible to keep him in his werewolf form, that way it won't break the illusion of him being a horrifying monster. Belle is unaware that he actually is a handsome man underneath all that.

Distinct Relationship Levels (Punishments and Rewards)

The Beginning (Low Relationship):

1. Turn on the cheat "Testingcheatsenabled true" and slide Beast and Belle's relationship bar ALL the way down until it's fully red. Remember that Belle is here against her will; she is afraid, alone, and sad.

2. Beast gets the master bedroom with the highest energy bed while Belle has to have the smallest room with the lowest energy bed, and try to make her room feel like an attic or prison with little lights and decor.

3. Although Belle IS allowed to be in all the rooms, it is for cleaning purposes only. She is allowed to go anywhere on the property, but not beyond the gate.

4. Belle will be responsible for all cleaning and preparing food duties. This is where the Neat trait would be great to have.

5. Belle has to cook ALL the meals. Normal and better quality meals. If she burns it, make her re-do it until she gets it right. Assuming Beast does not have a job (you can decide if you want him to work or not), you will call him to breakfast, lunch, and supper every single night, or whenever he is hungry. No leftovers. Do NOT make group plates. It has to be freshly prepared each and every time. Belle is definitely NOT allowed to sit and eat with the Beast at the fancier table; she eats in the kitchen only after Beast eats and she cleans up his dishes.

6. Belle is NOT allowed to interact with household entertaining objects. No access to books, television, computers, etc., and if she tries, stop her. You'll have to think of other ways for her to have fun.

7. If Belle wanders into any part of the house to watch TV, read, play chess or whatnot, she will be punished in as many different ways you can think of. Her punishments do not have to be severe, just as long as it produces a negative moodlet, but an example would be for her to not eat for 10 hours, or not allowing her to use the bathroom for 1 full Sim day. Face it, if Beast caught Belle lounging on his bed watching the romance channel on his flat-screen TV, he would not be impressed.

More to come, but still being thought about...

Friendship (Upon Reaching Friend Status):

Depending on how well Beast and Belle get along, if you succeed by building their relationship until they are friends, things will become MUCH better...

1. First thing's first, call a maid or activate Bonehilda. Belle is free from ALL cleaning. Yay!

2. Although Belle is not responsible for cleaning, she still will prepare meals. But it is out of her own heart, as by this point, she is beginning to fall for Beast and wants to please him. She CAN sit at the fancy table and eat with him, as well as prepare group servings and leftovers. Beast finds Belle beautiful, he won't mind eating cold spaghetti just as long as she's within his company.

3. Either re-decorate Belle's bedroom and expand on it, making it pretty and girly, OR move her into a new bedroom altogether. This money will be considered Beast's money, so you can spend as much as you desire. However, Belle's bed, although much more comfortable, cannot have an energy level that surpasses Beast's. Her bedroom cannot be bigger or wealthier than the Beast's.

4. Belle is now able to have access to ALL the property, and can use and interact with ANYTHING she wants. She will love to do some reading.

5. For the first time, Belle will be able to leave the lot and go to other places within town; however, Beast comes with her as a chaperon. Beast cannot talk to anyone as he has to keep his beastliness discreet, but Belle can socialize and make friends. Although Beast is falling for her, he cannot fully trust her to not tell the townsfolk about him so she is not allowed to be fully on her own, still. The last thing he (and even Belle) wants is for the village to invade his castle with torches and weapons, and try to kill him.

More to come, but still being thought about...

Lovers (First Kiss):

This is when they fall in love, becoming lovers. NOT boyfriend and girlfriend, or engaged... that's for later.

1. FREEDOM. Belle can visit her family, friends, nightclubs, gyms, and any other community lot all on her own without Beast to watch over her. She can throw parties as well, preferably not in the castle.

2. Belle can have a job if she wants--again, she has total freedom.

3. Belle now shares Beast's bedroom and sleeps with him every night.

4. They ARE allowed to Woohoo and kiss as much as they wish, even though he is in his beast form... However, Try for a Baby is off-limits. He is still cursed, remember, so he does not want a chance of werewolf or "Beast" offspring. He wants to be normal, as well as his children with Belle.

4. They are unable to marry or become an item while he is still a Beast. The spell has to be broken in order for them to live happily ever after together.

Breaking The Spell (Supernatural Expansion):
Note, in order to break the spell, you must be lovers before proceeding.

1. Either get Belle to ask Beast to Forsake Powers, OR if you prefer more of a challenge, go to the alchemy shop until you find the right potion, or let Belle learn the alchemy skill for herself and make this potion. However, you CANNOT work on your alchemy skill beforehand at the start of this challenge... remember, Belle does not know Beast's curse is actually breakable, so why would she practice her skill early on?

2. If the spell succeeds and the curse is broken, and Beast (or Adam) is officially human, you win. :D Marry him, have his babies, move into a cute house in the suburbs... it is your sandbox to do as you wish. The beast won her heart, as did she...

So, great, you got their happily ever after. But what if you think love is boring? Well you can follow most of the rules above, but treat it as if she is being captured and wants to return back to her family, and regain her freedom.

Belle is in this predicament because of her father who had made a deal with Beast a long time ago, and lost his family's money through gambling. He owes Beast, but the only thing Beast thought the old man had that was worth having was Belle. Try to earn $15-20,000 Simoleons through harvesting fruit, vegetables, honey, or gathering rocks, flowers, etc., just no actual job, whether is is full/part-time or self-employed.

Once she earns enough money, she can pay off her father's debt and is free to leave the castle without having to return or see the beast again.
You can use that $15-20,000 to buy yourself a starter home.

This alternative challenge is very simple and straight-forward. Most of the same rules apply, such as cleaning and chores, and you do not have to even speak with the beast. But keep in mind, the finer things in life, such as beautiful bedroom upgrades, obtaining a maid, community lots and friends, is ALL off-limits. However, unless you have amazing spawns or an extremely stunning garden, it is almost impossible to earn $15-20,000 on the lot, so you ARE allowed to leave the lot by yourself... but it has to be at night between 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., and you have to sneak. Beast cannot know you left or else there will be consequences... and yeah, technically now you're free, but Beast knows where you live, he knows where your father lives, and he will most certainly hunt you down. You need to settle the debt in order to be free.

Over all, I hope you enjoy this challenge. I will have fun playing it on my YouTube channel. Feel free to tweak things you see fit. Even when I play, I probably will bend rules as well.

It'll be difficult to actually FAIL this challenge. The only way you can fail is if you break the main rules, like doing absolutely no cleaning or cooking, or if you do something that would deeply hurt the beast, like being lovers and cheating on him with the first man you meet at the summer festival. The rose would then wilt. As well, if you are playing for his love, and do not obtain his affection, then obviously you fail... if you are playing for freedom, then you will fail if you do not earn enough money, or if you sell Beast's furniture and use that money.

Punishment if you fail? Belle will have to marry Gaston and you two will have to ultimately kill the beast. :P

Thanks for reading!

I'm debating mentally whether or not to make a gay version of this...
