I was wondering this too, and if it is possible to install the game on another computer so my husband can play if he wants. With having to register the game through Origin, I don't think it'll be possible to share the game with other computers in your household which is disappointing.
I think the UI looks big because of the resolution. If you set the game resolution at the same resolution size as your monitor, the UI should look smaller than what was shown in the live stream.
You should be able to still download the game from Origin even with purchasing a physical copy of the game. When I registered my Sims 3 games to Origin, they added a digital copy of the game to my library. So I assume it will work the same with Sims 4 and you'll have the physical copy for backup.
I didn't use the pools very often, but think the option should be there in the base game for the people that want one. That's too bad they are not included. Hopefully they will be added to the game in the future.
I feel like they should have named the game "The Sims" instead of "The Sims 4". Then it wouldn't have been compared to previous Sims games as much and would have been obvious it was just a reboot.
I decided to get the physical instead of the digital copy, because when you register the game it will add the digital version to your origin library anyway. That is how it worked for me with Sims 3. So in the end, I will have the digital copy in my library and the physical version for back up.
I don't have the demo either. I hope they give the demo out to everyone by the end of the week. I've been really anxious to get it and even signed up on the website.
I was set on not buying the game until I realized that I felt the same way before Sims 3 released and I ended up still enjoying the game as time went on. I had a hard time adjusting to the Sims 3 after playing Sims 2. I didn't start enjoying it until more expansions were released and I got used to the open world play…
Didn't change my mind (still not buying). The gameplay video that was shown didn't impress me and they don't seem like "smarter" sims either. Sims 3 had way more ambition, most of the content added in sims 3 with expansions would never work in the sims 4. I was hoping I would love sims 4 but it seems like a huge step…
I had to talk to 4 different advisor's and they all told me something different. A few of them said that physical edition copies qualify but not until the 22nd, but I knew some were already getting the double deluxe or the ultimate collection. You are allowed to get the ultimate edition with just a physical edition. I…
Well I decided to try talking to a game advisor again and had to wait 40 minutes again for live chat. I finally had a game advisor named Dhroova who was able to help me and added the sims 2 complete collection on my origin account! I hope anyone who needs to have the collection added to their origin gets to talk to that…
I talked to about 4 different game advisor's and they all said they couldn't help me right now and I need to call back on the 22nd to get the key for the ultimate edition. I have a physical copy of the Sims 2 base game and each person I talked to said they couldn't add the Sims 2 double deluxe on my origin account and I…
Dislike I prefer Sims 3 graphics. I feel like they took a major step back in graphics with the way the hair looks, and the game just looks like Sims 2 mixed with Sims Social. It's almost like it was to be the original Sims 3 but EA didn't like it so they made what we now have as Sims 3. Now that Maxi's develops the game…
I am having this issue as well. Thought I was the only one until I came across your post. My game was working fine with default custom skin and eyes until I installed University Life. Now only my household has the custom stuff while the townies still have EA skin and eyes. Not sure how to fix it. So far I haven't been…
