Expansion pack incompatible

I get an error message when I open the game launcher that says my expansion is incompatible with the version of Sims 3 I currently have, and that I need to update my game. However, there are no updates to install. I've been through the troubleshooting of deleting the Version.tag and also of reinstalling the EA Downloader. Is there anything else I need to do?
I have had World Adventures and Ambitions without issue, and just installed Late Night today when I got the error message. I don't have any of the "stuff" packs. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong or what else I can do? Thanks!

Can you post the complete version numbers of your installed games please? To find out this information, run the launcher and then hover the mouse pointer over the game icons located in the bottom left corner. When you have the full game version numbers you can post them in this thread.
World Adventures:2.0.86.002001
Ambitions: 4.7.4.010001

What you can try is manually updating the title using the update found at the following link:

Unless you plan to install the Generations expansion pack, you do not need to patch the base game at this time. Your Late Night expansion will need to be updated for it to be version compatible with the base game, however. To that end I suggest downloading and applying, in the order shown, the following standalone EP3 game incremental patches (region 1):

And:

Note that the standalone patches are self executable, meaning you can simply download them to your Windows desktop and run the setup installers directly. Other than ensuring that the game and launcher are not running, no further setup is required.
If you should receive a patch error message stating that the installed version of the game could not be determined, it is advised that you run the patcher as an administrator. You can do this by logging into Windows via an administrator account or by right-clicking on the patch installer and then selecting "Run as Administrator."
