Is there a way to NOT install the game to drive C: ??

I have a TB hard drive on my computer that I purchased separately. I was hoping to use it for the sims 3 among other things. I was able to install the sims 2 to the drive, but all the downloads and custom content and so on was still in the "My Documents" folder on my C drive so what was the point? I just tried to install TS3 and didn't even see an option to choose the location or drive for the game to be installed on. I'm trying to conserve space on Drive C.... it isn't a huge issue, but I'd so much rather have it on the TB hard drive. Anyone know how?

When you get the point in the install when it ask you if you want the install standard or custom, choose custom, that is where you can pick a different location than the default C drive. Make sure you make a folder on your TB drive that is the same path as the one it shows it would have gone to on the C drive.
