If I buy games online on the switch instead of having the physical copy does that mean I’ll need internet to play then? Done games are cheaper online but I didn’t know if having the physical game was better when you don’t have internet?

You can play offline once the game is downloaded. If you don't already have one you will need an SD card for storage if you get digital games... the switches built in storage is tiny. But otherwise yeah they're not a problem they operate pretty much the same as physical copies.
