PLEASE HELP

I've come to my last resort before totally buying a new computer to play, which is ridiculous. EA promised they would get back to me within 24-72 hours--three weeks ago. Please watch this video and if you can help I will greatly appreciate it, and am also willing to pay:

One, from the look of the video, I am wondering if your specs are high enough.

When you uninstall all your CC, hacks & mods, did you use the saved games, sims, lots etc ? Was the CC all removed before or after you manully uninstalled ?

Post your FULL dxdiag info here in this thread, it will be LONG.

when you got the second error (0:40) did you make sure that you don't have any processes running which are relative to The Sims 3?
or did you restarted your pc, to make sure that will shut down any process of the game? :)

    To answer questions:
Yes, I tried the process before and after uninstalling the CC and Mods.
And I didn't have any other Sim-related programs running at all.

I can see right off the bat, the processor is a little slow with Vista installed. I can't tell if your graphic card driver is up to date, I would go to the ATI site & see if they have a newer one & follow the directions to install it. I don't know if the card itself could be to weak for this game, I like nVidia cards, so someone else would need to weigh in on this card.

Did you take the time to run disc clean up & degrag after all the uninstalling & installing, if not so that now.

You should have no NON Essential programs running while you try & play this game, not just sims related.

I am pretty sure the graphics are up to date, and if they aren't how could that be causing the game to not uninstall?

I did the disk clean-up, restarted in safe mode then tried to uninstall and reinstall, it still didn't work. Also tried not in safe mode, still no luck.

Usually I don't have any programs running besides Skype, but I tried uninstalling that and basically every other non-essential program and document on my computer, nothing has worked.

Ok. I would try a different way of contacting ea.
    Either by Telephone: 1-650-628-1001
    or By Live Chat: http://www.help.thesims.com/chat

Have you tried to go to Program Files to get rid of the game?
If not, go to Computer > Program Files
Then choose the Electronic Arts folder (not EA Games), and then delete it.
Also, go to Documents, and then delete the Electronic Arts folder there.

You shouldnt have to buy a new computer.
But if getting rid of it from the program files and documents doesnt work, you could try a "System Recovery".
(NOTE :!: This deletes everything off the computer. So back up any files you would like to keep)

    To do a System Recovery:
    Shut down your computer.
Turn it on, and repetitiously press the F8 key.
Search for System Recovery, then highlight it with the arrow keys. Then press Enter.
You might have to wait up to 30 minutes, and it might ask you to set up your computer as if you just bought it.
After Setup, try installing the Sims 3, and there shouldnt be any errors.

I have fixed the problem myself after pulling an all-nighter. It turned out to be that I had downloaded an update not put into game by the EA downloader and hence was not deleted with the original game.

However, upon reinstallation I am back playing, but still have the bugs :x
