Birthday candles

Why does that option no longer appear in my game? Is this a glitch or has it been taken out of the game?

Other simmers have been having issues with the birthday candles. There are a few things to try doing to see if helps.
Move the cake to the fridge. Then manually move it out of the fridge, put it on a counter/table and see if the issues remain.
Try putting the cake on different counters/tables/surfaces and in different positions on the surfaces and see if that helps. It can help if the cake is in the middle of the surface, not on the edge.
Make sure that the cake is on its own on the table, with no build/buy mode items with it.
Have your sim travel to another lot and back, then try again to put the candles on the cake.

My sim is automatically putting them in the fridge right after it comes out of the oven.I've had to bring them out of the fridge manually 4 different times with all 4 kinds of cakes.It's still not showing up.

I just tried putting it on a dining table as well and seeing if it worked that way and it didn't.

The issue is a part of this AHQ EA thread . Try moving the cake to different tables or counters and onto different positions on these tables and counters, and see if the option appears.

Nevermind.It is working with coconut cake but none of the other cakes for some reason.

It is good that it is working with the coconut cake. Some simmers have been finding that it only works with specific types of cakes, and not others. The particular cakes vary though from one game to another.
