For Sims 3, there are a few essential patches. One I haven't seen mentioned is the smooth patch. With it and NRaas Overwatch and Errortrap, and minimal CC (skins, hairs, eyes, sliders only, and also the store content), it runs better than Sims 4 does for me. I'm on a highish mid-range computer, and there are guides out…
If it's Outdoor Retreat, I really hope they add something like a romantic "ask to watch the stars" a la Sims 3. Complete with hand squeeze, the whispers and the giggles, and the loving expressions. For Sims 4 being so much more "expressive," it really does miss the subtle expressiveness of the previous games.
That actually would have been a very good pack. It almost seems like they're trying to see how little content they can get away with if they release packs rarely enough. Edit: This post pushed me to the "5k Awesomes" award for these forums. I'm torn between yikes and laughter. I do love this place.
Polyamory is not likely to bump up the game rating and I'm not sure why people are so sure it would. You can already have cheating of all sorts, and the game is not suddenly rated M. I think it's more a matter of AI just not being that good.
The intermittent lag has been an issue for at least a year now on PC, mainly in build/buy. The way to fix it was hitting the menu key, and that usually got things going again. It's worrisome that it's now in live mode as well. Hopefully it gets fixed, but I'll be surprised if they're actually able to get it beyond…
I didn't disagree with her entire post -- in fact I agreed with the second part of it. It was pointing out that not all cultures had bach parties, which doesn't make sense when talking about the game's bach parties. They are not a world-wide thing, but they are in this game. The game was toned down because the devs of this…
Ooof. That could be referring to modding, but it also could be referring to creations in an on-line type experience where users actually change part of their world instead of it being static. It's calling it an ecosystem which makes me nervous. I hope you're right.
Not really because their argument is against bach parties in general not being celebrated in all cultures. Which is true -- it's a fairly western thing (with quite a few exceptions), and the debauchery we associate with them now are probably fairly modern. However, we're talking Sims, and there are Bach parties -- they're…
Gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. I don't play MS FS2020 (or any flight sims), but I do play Sims 3. The Ryzan 7 ended up being far better than I expected for gaming in general (it runs rings around my old 9th generation i7), but flight sims are probably a different story. Edit: I keep looking at that screenie and it looks so…
That argument would make sense if people weren't comparing to the previous Sims games which did include these things. They have the bach parties in this iteration, but they're seriously watered down.
Sims 3 bachelor(ette) parties gave us dancers, people spraying champagne, and just a very festive, fun atmosphere. All sorts of drama could happen. A tea party atmosphere is not nearly as much fun. It would be nice to have an option for a bit more of a wild time.
I use a lot of mods to prevent Sims 2 and Sims 3 bugs. My point was more that a lot of people pointed out the relative lack of bugs in Sims 4 at the beginning of the game seemingly not realizing that it just didn't have the time yet to become completely buggy. They have too many teams working on these games, leading to…
My personal little conspiracy theory: the whole Russia thing was staged. There were enough Russian people who were saying the whole thing didn't make sense as all the Sims 4 content is 18+ with and has different covers. And apparently the gamepack is buggy to the point of non-functional. It just sounds like a good excuse…
I doubt it; it wasn't a club type thing. The dancers were absolutely hilarious. So my new negative -- why aren't there veils available in the hat category? That one attached to the hair is atrocious. While I get that some hairs would be an issue, it seems like they could do something that would work.
Well, hopefully they use this time to do some additional QA. I know there are going to be some people who are disappointed, but I'm not one of them. I'm honestly not sure what message they're trying to convey with this whole thing, but at least Russian simmers will be able to slow dance along with the rest of the world in…
I really don't have much of an opinion on this other than the official reasoning for the GP not being released in Russia is weird. However, this comment really points out the irony of this whole thing. The devs, making a statement against their marketing not being allowed in Russia, does nothing but deprive the people…
I agree with you. I'd love an R&B or Motown focused station. But I also would hope that they stop adding so many subgenres and start expanding the stations they have because there is no point in having a radio station with 5 songs that you get tired of hearing after a few days.
So, I'm awaiting the new wedding kit with 20 more additional CAS assets to release next month. I could be wrong, but this looks like it has about the same amount of game play as Paranormal Stuff.
