I have built all of the house I lived in through my life so far and also build local homes and houses in the neighborhood. It's a lot of fun to have sims live in houses you know and love!

@Gordy I agree we needed larger lots in this pack. Was hoping to at least have a few 40x50 as well as the larger ones we have as a farm/ranch needs a lot of room. @SERVERFA I agree. Definitely need more off-the-grid items, especially the lamps. We have quite a few that would fit the theme, look similar to kerosene style lamps, but they require power. I need more! I love playing with simple living and off-the-grid!

I would love more off-the-grid lighting! It's frustrating how some of the lighting that looks like candles aren't off-the-grid. I would love a kerosine lamp that can be on a hanger on the wall as well as some with fancy globes for a table lamp. I agree that playing a "simple life" with off-the-grid is fun and challenging.

I just saw a video by Pixelade that shows the description of the pool kit, and it says that the tube and arm inflatables are accessories! That would mean that they aren't part of the swimsuit. I feel better about the kit now!

I will probably eventually get the new kits as there are items in both that I like. Disappointed though that the tubes and arm inflatables are attached to the swimsuit. I love the holidays in Sims! I always have the major ones on the calendar, and add Christmas Eve and New Year's Day so have the eve and day on both. I love the holidays in real life and wouldn't think about having my sims miss out on them!

@Atreya33 and @LiELF I agree, werewolves are not pets! That's why I didn't mention them in my comment. I love my werewolves, but definitely wouldn't want one for a pet. Neither would I consider a vampire (who can be a cute little bat) a pet, or a spellcaster. How insulting! LOL

Decided to play Skyrim instead. Only problem with that is I love Skyrim to the point that once I start playing again I have a hard time switching back to play something else. Maybe I will try alternating the 2 games after I am sure Sims 4 is fixed. In the meantime I am off to adventuring!

There are a lot of simmers on the EA bug site having the same problem. Someone from EA did respond saying aware of the issue and working on it. Apparently still a problem if try offline. Guess just need to wait and see what happens and try again on and off through day. Ugh. Was looking forward to playing.

I just tried to start my game and had the same problem. It showed that an update was needed, but when clicked to update I got a notice that "an error occurred". Odd thing is I can't find anything online about an update. finally have some time to play but can't get into the game. Very frustrating!

Pumpkin Pie finally popped up on the list as cooking option! My sim leveled a little higher in level 7 and it showed up! Will plan on pumpkin pie for their next Thanksgiving holiday.

@LeucosiaX I have some rooms I found online by MDianaSims. She put a variety of rooms with just plants from different packs and I use them all the time. Try searching for her ID. I just tried on the gallery to make sure it works and it does for me. Good luck!
