My experience has been the sim will push the ring away or do the hand wave thing they do with unwanted flirt interactions (can't remember which animation) after the other has proposed.

I found out the same way. I may give my sims that aspiration but I don't have them complete it. Now, I use a lifetime aspirations mod and I rarely complete any sims' aspirations. Which feels realistic to me.

I think it's been in the game for a long time, if not since the beginning. For me, it usually happens when my sim proposes immediately after a first kiss. I don't know anything about the inner workings of the game or its coding but I see it as a cooling off period.

The sims I noticed it with are all human. So I'm thinking it's likely a bug.

I checked in my game and one of my households, where both parents with darker skintones have a baby with a light skintone too. I'm wondering if it's the opposite of the bug we had a while back or a mod we both have?

Go for it! There are many simmers who play without mods and enjoy the game. I played without mods/CC for many years. There are two ways you can do both: 1. Just disable mods in the settings. I do something similar to what you mentioned when setting up a game for myself. The good thing about using a save is you don't have to start in CAS unless you just want to make a sim. I originally didn't have any lot traits or challenges in previous versions but someone else suggested I add them. So I think a healthy balance would be to add traits, omit challenges?

If I remember correctly, that was a bug when HSY first released. I'm not sure if it's been fixed or not. You may want to go to AHQ and see if it has. For rotating, I use two WordPad docs: one for the sims' stats (age, traits, career, likes/dislikes, etc.) and the other for little notes (i.e. "Bella is pregnant (pregnancy paused)", "Hire a butler for the Landraabs") and rotation info. I don't know if you play rotationally or not but you might want to fix your aging settings to Active Household Only or off.

Mine is stuck at 9% too. I only wish I had found this comment before restarting my computer. Hopefully it works now. Edit: It's working now. For anyone else who might have this issue, if pausing the download and resuming does work, try a computer restart.

I agree, teaching to ride a bike is an awesome feature. In all honesty, I have no complaints about Growing Together as a whole. Of course, I was one who wanted a Generations-style pack since the beginning.
