  • Unless she was protected from culling (by being in My Households) she could have been culled. The game does not care about your feelings when it comes to culling, and it doesn't warn you when you approach the limit. I'm almost always at the limit in my game and it culls willy nilly, though rarely does it cull any sims that…
  • I said both, because I had been playing like...every day. But now that I'm back to work, I haven't found hardly any time to play on either weekends or week days. :( Hopefully I'll get some free weekends soon.
  • Such fantastic shots from people over the last few days. I've said it before, but this is like my favorite picture thread in the forums and it's nice to see so many beautiful images here again.
  • I spend the majority of my time playing...like 70-80%, so I said Gameplay. But, I truly believe that TS2 has far better gameplay than TS4 and the reason I play TS4 way more than TS2 is that CAS and Building are dramatically superior in TS4. So...despite voting Gameplay, technically the reason I'm playing is because of…
  • For sims that I have previously played, I cling tightly to their ghosts and regularly strengthen their connection to the material plane so that they stay around. For all other ghosts, I purge them weekly by releasing all ghosts to the netherworld. I have a mausoleum and graveyard on a lot in my game (which is also a…
  • Yep, they did give it away from free, back when they were removing it entirely from Origin it was first available for free to anyone who wanted it. And before that it was available for free on Origin to anyone who had any of the original game discs for it, for several years.
  • @Elliandre, If you download something made with CC, it won't be present in what you downloaded unless you have the CC yourself. So if someone uses a CC hair that you don't have, the sim will be bald. CC itself is not included with gallery downloads. That's why, even though I use a lot of CC, I avoid anything on the gallery…
  • @RedDestiny92, what I meant is that people having trouble with it did the engagement in CAS. If your sims got engaged in game it should be less likely you'd have a problem with it. Two things of note that I found when I was testing it in my game: It has open hours and if you try to elope when it's very close to when it…
  • That's actually a really, really good point. Even many of those of us who do use a ton of mods and CC disable it all when we are going to make something to share on the gallery.
  • Yes, it works fine for me. My understanding is that the main thing that makes it not work is if you created the couple as "engaged" in Create-A-Sim rather than had them get engaged through gameplay.
  • I think the Pleasant & Caliente sisters are the hottest townies, but I got a thing for red heads. I think Miko Ojo is the cutest townie though, so I'm not total obsessed just with red hair.
  • I do use mods...a LOT of mods. But even I can see there's a good reason not to use them. It's kind of a pain in the butt every time the game gets updated.
  • I played through 3 1/2 generations in my game before starting the Strangerville story and never saw a single infected sim anywhere, not even when I visited Strangerville, until I had a sim actually move there. Then there was one sim who behaved like she was infected while in Strangerville, but never when she was…
  • Yes, @Suceress, there's an option to disable fame automatically for all new sims, at which point your sims can only gain fame and become celebrities if you push a button on their simology panel to "Step into the Limelight".
  • When I search the gallery for lots, I almost always am searching with the hash tag for whatever the original lot name was for where I'm planning to put it. That and #NoCC are pretty much the only hash tags I ever pay attention to for lots. Those hashtags, the images provided, and the lot type are all that matter to me. I…
  • Personally, I hope they never make another open world sims game. Open world is a wonderful thing for a game where you play just one character, or group of characters, like in an RPG, but for the Sims, it leads to having all of the sims 'active' even if they are households that you normally play, but rotate between. Just…
  • @Simmerville, I said "first kiss" but that was a brain fart. I meant "Spousal kiss" or something like that. I forgot the exact name the game uses it. Basically it's the game's "You may Kiss the bride" moment, though you can change when and where it occurs like most other things you customize. Sorry for the confusion, brain…
  • I never have this issue, unfortunately, but I did did up a bug report of other people having similiar issues that has responses from as recently as a few days ago: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Plants-always-die-before-even-blooming/td-p/10283837 Have you tried planting them in planters rather than on…
  • Everything you specifically asked about is available outside of wedding events. Honestly, the only thing I've found to be specifically locked to the events are the "First Kiss" and the the various "Get Married" interactions.
  • @elanorbreton, heck no. I'm only at the step where I investigated the door. I haven't even been past the door yet. Because I play rotational, I'm away from the household who has a sim even working on it. I did the research about not being able to edit it when I first got there and wanted to fix up the upstairs a bit and…
  • @Atreya33, don't forget the bee box. I think plantsims need the bees to reproduce.
  • I play rotational and I have mixed feelings about the new way that "resume" works. On the one hand, it will be great when I'm resuming with the intent to play the same household I left when I last played, on the other hand it's an extra step when I'm going to be switching households immediately. I rotate once per (sim)…
  • I 100% agree with this. I was disappointed when I discovered that it was not the case. I wanted to turn it into a super secret mad scientist lair.
  • @Elliandre, just last week I was right there with the same thinking going through my head. It's why I know about Twisted Mexi's mod, because I did a bunch of research to try to figure out how to edit the lab and that was the only solution I found. Which, of course, does neither of us any good in our existing games. You can…
  • It's only possible if you use a mod that allows it, and it's so super-secret-special-locked that even the mod doesn't work in a save game where you have had a sim already visit the lab. You have to have the mod installed before any Sim goes there for it to work. It's a Twisted Mexi mod if you want to use it for your next…
  • They will probably disappear from the family tree eventually. Culled sims who were culled while alive rather than as a ghost almost always stay in the family trees for me when they are first culled....but it is also just a matter of time before they purge from the family tree too (talking generations though).
  • @KyreRoen, That school bus is one of the coolest, most creative builds I have ever seen. Looking at it it seemed to me that you just made creative use of existing objects and moo to do most of it, and I spent like 20 minutes just staring at the pictures trying to figure out what objects went into making various things.…
  • I think it's totally worth it now. Most things actually work as advertised (without mod fixes) since the last patch. Definitely not worth it if you don't like to have weddings or do events though. At that point you'd be buying it just for the BB/CAS catalog and the World. In that case I'd say wait until its in the 50% off…
  • @DaniRose2143...nope, that's dead dead, not the issue I was thinking you might have had from the lot trait. Did you kill them by having her absorb sunlight from them? You can't use that frequently on the same plants. I can't remember the last time I have ever seen a plant die other than from a Plantsim over-using the…
  • @DaniRose2143, when you say "died" do you mean literally dead, as in they needed to be torn up and re-planted? Or do you just mean they reverted to dirt piles? If you mean the latter and you are using the Great Soil lot trait, remove that lot trait. It greatly exacerbates the game bug that causes plants to revert to dirt…
