I was in the middle of building a house and the whole game closed down and the patch was installed. I've turned off the Delivery service altogether. Luckily I had saved the house a couple of additions before but still lost a lot. Very annoyed.
It could be that the Web Archive has saved a lot of the pages from the forum. Years ago I got information about Sims 2 sites and creator links from earlier forums from it. Not sure what it saves nowadays.
Congratulations to Ebonix on getting her talent recognised. I've stopped buying all the kits though, got enough CAS & clutter, just looking for something in the building line now.
One thing I have done is to remove my debit card number from my account & AHQ. I'll enter it every time I want to buy something and delete it after. I want to use my name on here and not have part of my email name used.
Is that ok on a personal security basis? My original was, so I changed it to my current Sim name. People can guess what the second part is if that is based on your email account used for all emails. eg: gmail, outlook, etc.
I get rid of all the pre-mades when I start a new game. I have enough of my own since 2014 to fill my houses. I got bored with the original Sims so wouldn't be interested in a film built around them. Of course, unless those original Sims could star in a film where they are annoyed about old friends unexpectedly…
You missed out Del Sol Valley. All that nightlife and rich celebrities.<3 A vampire would do very well in that country. A jewellers shop there would make loads of Simoleons!
Still it's not as annoying as my old Sims becoming werewolves, aliens, changing their gender preferences or colour I've noticed with resurrecting some old families. Diversity I don't mind but not forced on me.
I've seen notices when downloading my own houses for use in a new game that 'some items that you don't own' have been removed. I never use other Simmers items in them. Does that mean that they've been updated or changed in the game? New colours etc? I can't find out what they are anyway. Not all that important but…
I could see a film with the Sims realising they are in a computer game and trying to get out! Much breaking the 'fourth wall' and gesturing in anger at the screen as they do now! o:)
o:) Sid Meiers already had Sims talking to one another in Sim Golf. They were complaining or complimenting to one another all the way around about the golf courses you created!
That's not what I was asking and I've tried that. Windows, when updating just puts things back as they like even if I'd tried to alter something. What I want is EA in Options to ASK where I want to save my games to, not 'saved to clipboard......'user' OneDrive...' only. It's too much to ask me to fiddle about making things…
It's not so much that OneDrive is misbehaving but that also, if you right press your Save folder you see that the default is to OneDrive. Microsoft interference with a game. That's what I want EA/Maxis to change to give the the option for it to go to D drive or wherever and I've found no way of altering it.
I fondly remember making worlds from SimCity to use in an early Sims game and importing my Sims from it to Sim Golf, where they could work their way round your golf course, criticising your poor creativity on creating it on the way. Of course they brought in Sid Meier, a creative genius to make that game. I wouldn't mind…
If you've got any favourite lots that you've saved or built yourself make sure you put them anywhere in a save to stop them disappearing for ever. That's if you are as angry as I was, getting rid of them all in that folder! I'm going to save them again to get them back properly. That's Microsoft for you. They'd love your…
Found the Tray Folder. It was in OneDrive, which I had uninstalled after having a lot of trouble with it. Seems the game still kept putting stuff into the Cloud. I deleted everything in it so now have none of my lots at all but they're still in the game where I've installed them. Complete mess. EA should have given us an…
Interesting to see the development of Sims 5. I'd want to make sure it had safeguards in that it won't allow younger or vulnerable Simmers to be trolled, swamped by other more powerful Simmers who appear to form a clique of their own very shortly after the arrival of any iteration. The power to play privately without…
Yes, every one and it tells me so. Letting me know if anything new comes out they'll let me know. It might flash then? Maybe it would be better at the bottom left hand side of the screen?
As EA have got rid of 5% of their workforce recently I wonder if they have much money to throw at it. It'll take a much longer time to come out. The longer it takes the more likely it's going online always and AI based because of the greater power of the new machines coming out with whole worlds to explore in the Cloud.…
I have it. I have no flashing light. Has this been dealt with already? Could this be because I turned off dynamic lighting in 'Other' options? This made my laptop keys light up on my gaming laptop and it got rid of that.
I didn't notice it at all until someone complained about it flashing in their game. It doesn't flash for me. I pressed it just to see what happened and got the heading 'You've seen it all' as I have every pack. I wasn't directed to any game merchandise. I go directly to the Sims4 game screen usually from a Sims4 Taskbar…
I just opened my game today and found the trolley mentioned. I have all the packs. I clicked on the trolley to see what was being complained about and it told me that I had everything but did NOT send me to a shop to buy Tshirts or anything else. It was about buying new or packs you don't have yet. It might even let you…
I managed to find a lot of Sims pages on the Wayback machine. Even BBC information on The Sims and interviews with Will Wright etc. I registered there but even today there are some organisations that want to cancel stuff. They asked for support some time ago.
