  • Being able to transform into any kind of creature just isn't realistic because it would require too many new assets. They'd also need to be more fleshed out than just "can turn into a weird form". The werewolves in TS3 had more going on like packs, the lunar cycle and wolf-like behaviours, so you'd need to give…
  • I'm hoping they go expansion pack at this point. I liked the idea of supernatural game packs, but there are several occult life stages that I would like to see, and some of them didn't do as well as I'd have liked on the polls. I feel like if they stick to game packs we just won't see them at all, or if we do it won't be…
  • Gah, Werewolves are the feature I want the most in TS4 now that Seasons is out, and I miss this poll by a day :s I know it wouldn't have made a difference to the final result, but it would have been nice to have my voice heard.
  • I am very pleased to see them add a new life state as a game pack. This is exactly how I wanted them to handle it, and I like the look of the TS4 vampires. This combined with the toddler announcement has really restored my faith in the game somewhat. The addition of a CAS 'copy' feature that lets you paste the normal form…
  • If they just released proper filters on supernaturals like we had in TS3 it wouldn't matter if people wanted them or not.
  • That only works if they actually make a Supernatural themed expansion, and at the current rate of one expansion pack a year it looks like Sims 4 will have run it's course long before that point. It's been two years since the game was released now, and the game has barely changed. I'm fed up with the "It will have a…
  • I think Vampires would work better in their own game pack. That said, if they don't actually do that and simply stop producing supernaturals I'll be very annoyed. There's no excuse for gutting this staple of the series.
  • I just want werewolves and vampires, I consider those the 'main two'. The others I'm not particularly fussed about.
  • While I'm feeling very negative about the game at the moment I do think the previous two expansion added a lot to the game and I was able to enjoy it for quite a while after Get Together before it grew stale, so I'd buy the next expansion if it had a theme I liked. If it is indeed a "City Living" themed expansion then I…
  • I don't think that the silence is because we are getting two expansions, but because they are slowing down development of the Sims 4 to work on something else. It doesn't seem to be as successful as the previous games and they are probably close to pulling the plug.
  • Part of me hopes this does happen. Then there will finally be a gap in the market and another studio will be free to release a life simulator that is actually decent on release and has all of the basic features people want. As for the OP, im not excited at all. They have made it clear that they don't want to add the…
  • My point was that while there are things I want more than others I'd never say we should get something before something else. Everybody wants the things they want to come first, obviously, but I see a lot of people saying that they outright deserve to get what they want first, for whatever reason, particularly in regards…
  • I'm getting a bit tired of "We can't have x before toddlers" or "They shouldn't add y until z, z is more important". At this rate nobody is getting anything they want, and I'm sure that myself and many others have things they want more than toddlers or other features people consider 'basic'. Whether it's before toddlers or…
  • If Sims 4 on release was nothing more Sims 3 and all of it's expansions with updated graphics then future expansions would be have to be completely new. The fact that Sims 4's base game doesn't include any previous expansion features is the entire reason we have to purchase the same stuff repeatedly. The only reason people…
  • Civ 6 is being built with a new engine. You could have found that out with a simple google search, rather than automatically assuming I don't know what I'm talking about.
  • The sad thing is I think I would honestly enjoy the Sims 4 far more if it was just a copy of the Sims 3 with improved graphics and a few new features.
  • Nope, still EA. Look at any other game series, in particular the new Civ 6. The base game comes with all of the expansion content of Civ 5 because, amazingly, that content has already been made so they had access to the assets and it was easy to update to the new version. They knew people wouldn't want to play a base game…
  • Frustrated. There are so many things that I want in this game that were in Sims 3, let alone things that would actually be new, that I've accepted will simply never come because the expansions and packs are releasing content so slowly that it will be over ten years before they get around to it at this rate, maybe even…
  • The problem isn't the teasers, it's the content itself. There is too much focus on the teasers. When they are released, how they display the upcoming content, what the discussion around them will be be... But all this is doing is shifting discussion away from the real problem, that people aren't happy with the amount, type…
  • I don't mind the idea of expansions without life states, but Sims 4 expansions are so sparse it means that we essentially aren't getting any. I don't think my favorite life states will ever be released for Sims 4 at this rate. The ways I could see it working include a "making magic" expansion which includes multiple…
  • Do babysitters really add any new gameplay, though? The whole point of them is that you aren't going to be on your home lot, so you'll never see or interact with them. The Sims 3 was open world and you could toggle to your toddlers and see how they were doing, so it made sense, but you can't toggle to babies in the Sims 4.
  • I liked it, but I think they should have chosen either the open for buisness or playable career angle rather than throwing them together. The careers were fun but grew stale over time, and the retail element felt too shallow with the lack of home buisnesses and poor employee AI. That said, aliens and the alien world were…
  • I'd like to see some of the major occult types like vampires and werewolves have their own game packs. Makes more sense than tying them to unrealted expansions that have year long gaps between them. As for the ones on the list, id love casinos and hotels. Especially if you can run them. I never understood the appeal of…
  • I wanted to include the store content, but it wasn't realistic. If I limited it to the compilation sets that wouldn't include all of the content, and I'm not checking the release date of every single item in the store. I also didn't include the patch content for either game because there simply isn't room for it. The…
  • I didn't forget it, I just had to leave out store content for the Sims 3 to avoid cluttering it too much. You'll notice I did add the new neighborhoods released on the store. It's why I also didn't add the free patch content released for the Sims 4.
  • I think it ultimately depends on what content you are looking for. Sims 4 certainly looks fine for people who enjoy stuff packs. On the one hand I'm concerned about the lack of supernaturals in Sims 4, since they have only added aliens in the period Sims 3 added four (mummies, simbots, vampires and imaginary friends). But…
  • It's the sad reality of EA's new business strategy. Cut the content down as much as you can while still raking in money from the people who'll buy it anyway. I'd hoped that after the disaster of Sim City they would have learnt their lesson in that regard, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
  • For what It's worth, signed. I'm not a fan of petitions, but am fed up with the constant demand for "proof" that people are unhappy. I don't mind the existence of stuff packs, I can appreciate why others like them. I like the existence of game packs, I think they are a good means of including more gameplay content outside…
