  • Filing this under "Questions that would sound really strange if you didn't know the person was talking about the Sims." I like, not death specifically, but having life cycles and legacies. I'm currently on the eighth generation of a legacy. Having ancestral lore is just cool. You can see how the people who came before made…
  • Interesting research. Let us know your findings. Are you looking to see which version makes you work the hardest to achieve the objectives, or which is the most fun? Or is this a hypothesis-free situation where you just note any differences as they arise?
  • I got hit with a wave of Sims 2 nostalgia when I found out, accidentally, that sims with the Jealous trait will slap a romantic interest silly if they catch them initiating a romance interaction with someone else.
  • Four: -Courtyard Oasis: I love the global fusion aesthetic from City Living and this is a great booster pack for that. -Desert Luxe: Freebie. Do I use it? Sure. Would I buy it if it wasn't free? Surely not. -Modern Luxe: Bought it for the radio and painting TV. I like the glamorous furniture too, though. Worth every penny.…
  • I didn't realize that Grim follows the races. When he came to take Gingko (our goat) to the green rolling hills in the sky, he stopped in the middle of the process because he recognized our champion mare. I was too slow to capture him waving to get her attention, unfortunately. I only have this shot of him staring at her…
  • @GlacierSnow I've had good luck with jewelry yard sales in San Myshuno. I've never tried throwing one during a festival though. The game might consider them competing events.
  • I know I've said this before, but I want a costumes category. I'm tired of inviting people over for a costume party, only to find my house invaded by an army of walking hot dogs.
  • This is an interesting concept. I like the idea of a periodical based on the club system. I would base the club requirement on skill (as you would do if you were hiring people irl) rather than their already having a job. Especially since your own sim would have to have that job too, and you don't want that. You could…
  • I agree that it should have been phrased differently, but it does serve a purpose. It tells you that the test gave you all the information that type of test can give you, so there's no value in re-attempting it. Sometimes a test will be inconclusive and you might be able to rule out some conditions if you rerun it.…
  • @PandoraTO My game's fully up to date, but I don't own many of the EPs. I'm more of a GP hound. From what I understand, Eco Lifestyle, Cottage Living and, to a lesser extent, Cats and Dogs all add gardening elements. It's possible that the Crystal Creations patch conflicts with one of those three packs in some way.
  • I made up my mind some time ago that I would only buy Backyard for 50% off. I like some of the items, but there just isn't enough of it. A bit of cute BB, a smidge of nice summer wear. Very little useful game play, since the slip'n'slide is too big for most of my Sims yards. It just doesn't add up to a stuff pack. Now I…
  • @PandoraTO When did this start? Now I'm afraid. I've had my share of gardening issues, but I haven't seen that one yet. My main character lives in a garden. As long as he's home at 5AM, the plants bloom. On the other hand, if he's out gallivanting too late, he misses the bloom and has to wait for the next morning. I find…
  • Stares into space, struggling to process this shocking news. Is the bixkotxa really a lie?
  • Nanny as an active career where you go to people's homes and get everything tidied up and the kids in good order by the time the parent comes home. Edit: It might also be fun if the career included some tongue in cheek nods to Mary Poppins, including a circa-1910 dress and coat as the career outfit at higher levels, also…
  • So the twins have moved to Glimmerbrook. I liked @crocobaura 's suggestion of an industrial shop, but that would fit in better with Windenberg, especially the Old Platz neighborhood. I also liked @cyncie 's French Country concept. This fits in with Glimmerbrook, especially since some of the French Country assets come with…
  • Henrietta: Just watch me! These dance moves are fire! Rosalie: Should I be impressed or alarmed?
  • @LeGardePourpre Lol, after I posted my previous comment I remembered the chaos play style, which has specific elements in the Sims. They would definitely have to be willing to make it a horror movie, though. The Sims is not perfect and peaceful. There's an entire category of aspirations in-game that involves making people…
  • I honestly don't see how they could flag this as a sims game without the premades. It would be different if there were open to making it CGI-based. Then they could render characters and settings in a Sims 4 art style and otherwise use whatever plot, characters or styles they want. With the upcoming Minecraft movie a lot…
  • I'm in the middle of play testing a challenge. I've decided to take, edit, label and organize my screenshots as I go along. Then I'll do the write ups when the new forum comes online. I don't want to write things up now only to have to change it to a different format later.
  • I'd like Maggie Q for Bella and Kit Harrington for Mortimer. @Simmingal That might be true for the franchise as a whole, but Sims 4 players are mostly young adults.
  • No we don't need a more intense release schedule. A lot of people blame EA for being greedy, but I feel that the player base doesn't get its fair share of the blame. In the original Sims era, there were two EPs a year and that was that. Patches were strictly for bug fixes. When you got the latest EP, you knew you would…
  • In my head cannon Erwin is in his mid 20s. I don't have an exact age in mind. He's very proud of his curio stall, but he might want to expand to a larger bric-a-brac store down the road. It would have a basement under it that would be the headquarters of a conspiracy theory club. His father died trying to save his mother…

  • @mightysprite When they aged up to teens I found out Garnet (the twin) is actually a hybrid vampire werewolf (vamwolf?), a very glitchy life state. Neither his beast form nor his dark form work properly and his needs panel is kind of hard to read. The twins disliked each other at birth, but they've been getting along…
  • @Simmingal Love the pics of Simmingal's gemology adventures. If she builds up her rocket science, she can travel to planet Sixam, which has a lot of crystal spawners. I recently had a sim who was trying to complete the crystal collection. It went so much faster once she went to Sixam.
  • @Simmingal @cyncie The Sims Fantasy needs to be a thing. Have fantasy elements baked into the game from the beginning, not just as an extra. I think that the different eras should include fantasy elements that were popular in that era, rather than being straight historical.
  • @mightysprite I remember when I was in Alabama they had goat brigades that were trained to go after invasive species of plants specifically.
  • E Gen Pt 2-Father of F Gen I've updated the rules to include objectives for Crystal Creations (C, G and J Gen). Evan only has a few objectives left: reach the top of the Environmental Manager branch of the conservationist career, find the last Element, die from Electrocution. After two relatively laid back generations it's…
  • @LiELF Adding animated penguins to the Sims 4 would be a way cooler feature than a shopping cart.
  • @Eelinea I like the idea of a pottery hobby, but if it's a game pack, I want it to have other content, not just pottery.
