In Australia, the Federal Government passed the Social Media (Anti-Trolling) Bill 2022.

Basically, Australians can demand the identity of the abuser to be revealed, or the host can get treated as the publisher.
Isn't Sim City, Rush Hour mentioned in Sims 3, and possibly 4, as a video game the sims can play on their computer? @LeGardePourpre Sim City 4 is not broken. It just takes patience. My thread is called "Sim City 6 and Sims 5". I'm suggesting a new Sim City with the new Sims. So even if the past iterations of Sim City were…
Yes It felt like bad Karma. At some point, in legacy play, the sim-self gets older and old and dies. The children grow up and they need to marry or partner - ew! Controlling that is completely awful. They also get old and die. Never ever again. In Sims 1 the children never become adults and nobody dies of old age.…
Especially when moving from Sims 2 to Sims 3, but also a while ago with the Sims 3 memories in case they get shut down ... I painstakingly saved everything to disk, and later onto an external hard-drive/giant USB. Its always intended to re-post somewhere, I have a site, but there's so much, and it's like moving house, you…
Holographic or with one of those reality goggle things ... ! Imagine if The Sims went on one of those. Eghad! @Rob1992 Are you talking about Sim City 5 with the building upgrades? I didn't get to play that one, it got cancelled by the time I heard of it, coming out of my internet-blackout/ration years. Those were the days…
I happen to be trying to rip the files from a disk I saved of my old games from one of my old computers ... its going very slowly and needed a program and some toothpaste (slightly scratched). There's a huge folder with historical-themed stuff in it from a few neighbourhoods and their stories. Willburke Graylands, Wonder…
@xxnearlyperfectx yeah hair and eye colour works well in a dominant/recessive gene way across the generations. It did in The Sims 2 as well. I noticed that the grey streak in the Alto family gets inherited but I didn't play their family long enough to see if it ever skipped a generation. That one would be really obvious if…
It would be great to have some kind of macro-management. Besides the infrastructure. It would probably take a fair amount of innovation and creativity to figure out a workable extent. And/or be able to toggle between the macro and micro in a less demanding way than was with Sim City 4. Like, to use one in the other, you…
@davina1221 loading screens are probably a way to save game size/workload on the ole computer while playing in each location. I remember with The Sims 2 the loading screens were a good time to go make a cup of tea. It wasn't good if it wasn't paused when it gets there though because you might not be back yet, so turn up…
I love how The Sims has its own universal language that doesn't have to be typed in all the time that they're fully capable to speak autonomously. I don't think that will change with The Sims 5 (Rene). I love The Sims! The Sims wins!
I'd like to see the generations progress through the ages. When I started playing the Sims 2, and realised there was a story feature, I thought to give my sims a backstory, about how they got there in their town. And then when the whole generation thing gelled with me I thought, including from 'The Olden Days'! So then I…
