  • I think EA needs to slow down releases for awhile and focus on improving their QA processes and patching more issues instead of creating new ones.
  • I would love to see some optional co-op features to play with a friend online. Not a world like The Sims Online, just simple co-op gameplay where you could visit a friend's game and interact with them.
  • Actually even save sharing would be an improvement, especially if it were pretty seamless. Co-op would be more desirable, but anything that lets you easily share with friends is a good thing. Even the half-implemented gift thing from Showtime would be a nice change of pace.
  • I'm not sure how you can claim to speak to something being a problem for everyone based on your own issues. Millions of gamers manage to play co-op and online multiplayer games with friends all the time, so that is why your argument makes no sense and seems to be simply a personal issue. As far as the "only some people…
  • The entire concept is that it was invite only, so all of the arguments you put forth about strangers ruining your game aren't relevant, nor is your inability to coordinate playing with a friend.
  • See, this kind of hyperbole is just absolutely ridiculous. Unrecognizable as the Sims? The Sims 4 can certainly be improved, but the way that they multitask and interact in groups is a huge improvement over previous versions.
  • Again, I'm not ignorant at all of what happened with SimCity, or the scrapped Olympus project. There is a massive difference between an always online game and peer to peer co-op.
  • I am not blissfully ignorant of anything. I am well aware of what goes into the development as I am a developer myself. What is selfish is demanding they not add something just because you don't want it, and then making all kinds of wild claims about what would happen if they did. It could be added with minimal impact on…
  • Normally I'm a fan of game forums and love to participate in them when I enjoy the game. Not so much here. I'm not sure why, but this forum community is incredibly negative. It's not pleasant to read when it is just a litany of complaints, attacks on the developers, on Maxis, etc. Suggestions get met with equal amounts of…
  • No, what is ridiculous is your alarmist, negative reaction. Then again, it is par for the course with this forum. If they have the ability to add co-op features and think there is value in it, wonderful. If not, I can live with that. I just don't feel the need to clutch my pearls and whine about how it will increase the…
  • ZOMG not extra code! I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were a developer for Maxis and privy to the complexity of adding it to their game engine. It is a suggestion, good lord. Your wild speculation about the difficulty in doing so is just silly.
  • So because you don't want it as an optional feature, it shouldn't be added? That's absurd.
  • There are all kinds of single player games that have a co-op mode that is optional. That makes no sense at all.
  • I am not so certain it's a sign that the game it is dying. It is more that these forums feel overwhelmingly negative most of the time. It's just not fun to read or participate when someone is always whining about something. Constructive criticism is fine, but the constant complaints about how much the Sims 4 sucks because…
  • Definite improvement overall on autonomous behavior. On the downside, I am noticing that direct actions I do give my Sim seem to cancel out and disappear from the queue more often for no apparent reason.
  • That is one disappointment for me with the expansion that I hope is corrected in the future. I loved the row house style apartments from the Sims 2, and also being able to add apartments in other zones would add variety. Not a dealbreaker, but it seems a missed opportunity.
  • I think it ultimately comes down to how much you enjoy the Sims 4 overall. That is going to influence how you feel about the expansion. I love the Sims 4 - I didn't particularly like 3 (the open world was nice, but the sims didn't feel as lively and I hated the aesthetic, plus it was buggy as all hell). In the time I've…
  • As long as Amazon keeps offering 20% off, I'm cool with receiving a box with a code in it. Seems kind of a waste of packaging, though.
  • Since the latest update, I've had several times where the game would freeze then disappear. Very frustrating. No mods or custom content. It was previously rock solid.
  • As an owner, you can request a table in your own restaurant and order from the menu if your sims is hungry. While waiting on the food you can get up and interact with other customers.
  • While you cannot be the host, there are several different interactions with the restaurant guests as an owner. You welcome them, check on them, recommend dishes, comp their meals, and give free drinks and desserts. Setting the menu, the uniforms, and managing the workers (including sending them for training) also provides…
  • I'm extremely pleased with the pack so far. I especially like the options you get as the owner of a restaurant to interact with the guests at tables, giving them free dessert, checking on them, recommending dishes, etc. Definitely worth the wait and the cost. The amount of choice for the menus is quite impressive too.
  • You click the gear on the club menu with that club selected, then click on the X when you mouseover your picture on the club roster.
  • So far, my Sim has stopped what he was doing several times to use the toilet even though the need was nearly full. Definitely something weird with it, but I've not had other problems yet.
  • How did you get the closet perfectly inset into the wall? Edit: never mind, I figured out you can build a wall across it including the top, but you have to do a double wall to accommodate it.
  • I am surprised there are no dance or dj related ones, given the emphasis on them.
  • I definitely would love to see restaurants added to the Sims 4, with the ability to own and work in one in different capacities. It would add a lot to the game.
  • I'd love to see them add another game pack like Outdoor Retreat with a different environment and theme. I've had a lot of fun with Outdoor Retreat, and I didn't expect to since I'm not into camping. The vacation aspect of it (renting a cabin with multiple sims) is a great, and I'd love to see it expanded in the future.
  • I've made threads about co-play before and people seem to freak out about the idea of adding any type of multiplayer. I would love to be able to play with a friend and visit their game or have them come into mine. There's lots of possibilities. I don't understand the negativity about it. Adding co-op play is not the same…
