  • now I am scared to mess around with my sims love lives.
  • Wait... what if the sims are real, but we are computer generated, and we are not play them, they are playing us, and our world is a digital illusion, and nicki minaj is a graphical glitch!!!!!!! IT JUST MAKES SENSE!
  • I doubt it. it just has the game render the object bigger, it doesn't actually change the shape or texture of the object. it is actually fairly simple to do, and is similer in process to how the game renders objects smaller or larger as you zoom in or out.
  • I would totally buy one. i have the light up keyboard, and the light up mood showing mouse would be useless, as my hand stays on my mouse anyways, covering it.
  • I suspect it will be a while. the game is not even a week out of release, so it is going to take time for modders to fully explore the game, fully understand how it works, and figure out ways to do the broader spectrum of mods in a master control mod. so far, the mods seem to be fairly low end, making cosmetic changes for…
  • basically, the color wheel broke the game for too many people for EA to consider it successful. it was where the majority of lag and glitches came from.
  • at this time, the creation of CC objects outside of recolors of existing objects is still in such an infancy that no one has publicly been successful at doing it. since the game is not even a week out of release, it might be a few weeks before we start seeing people making early success, and developing a more well defined…
  • the fountains sit above the ground as an object. pools in TS2 and TS3 were different, because there was a way to cut into the ground to create a hole for the pool/fountain to go into. the engine does not currently allow for you to cut into the ground like that to create a hole in the world for the pool to go into. This is…
  • generational expansion pack will be later. they will likely not be stupid enough to do such a none-feature pack that early. the first expansion pack is likely going to go for a bigger theme that adds more than a few social interactions, and toddler age, and some new objects.
  • Gender Equality comes in all forms.
  • wait... they actually can miss the bowl? omgawd, if that is true, that is so creepy and awesome at the same time.
  • I wonder if there is any other emotionally tied pee's. I know if you are angry, you can take a cold shower, which will shorten, or even get rid of the angry mood. the more i play, the more I am getting excited about emotions. I still wish the sims emotions were a little more stable. the system can have you move from one…
  • there is a star for your aspirations panel, the rewards section is the little button in the panel the star brings up that looks like a present. the one below, i think, is for changing aspirations, which I would assume would cost aspiration points to do; i havent tried it in game, or read about it yet.
  • sorry that I have been neglecting the thread a bit. I assume children going to school is the same as adults going to work; they just walk off the edge of the map and disappear. I basically had to go to the gym after making a skinny sim in CAS, and making them work out. fun to watch them grow and change physiologically, and…
  • pools in thesims2 and 3 require the game to cut a hole in the ground. the sims4 engine currently doesn't support that, so until they find a way to get the engine itself to do that, no pools. the cloest we have it a fountain tool, and that really only applies a border with a texture to the ground, and a water level inside…

  • also, the, i think you need to be in a confident emotion for a male sim to pee standing up. at least, I only got that animation when i went to have him do his buisness, and it only gave the option to 'pee like a champion' with a blue emotion flag by it. also, anyone remeber, i think it was sims2, when a male child would…
  • i saw that to, and it first made me laugh a deep laugh, and then made me wonder how many watchdog groups were going to have a hissy fit over it. my opinion on it basically has settled in it was one of those quirkly things that make the game a little more realistic... and thankfully, it seems male sims have better aims than…
  • thank you for the responce... now, if only maxis would add a way to connection right angle counters to a diaganol counter.
  • Well, off the bat, from what I read, collectables can boost emotional states. this differs from catagory to catagory. the mysim trophies/statues promote a playful emotional mood, but most of the other ones seem to focus on the confident emotional state. these can be turned off and on. creative objects, such as musical…
  • I am not yet seeing anything about if there are social workers. I assume one would get a warning before a child is taken away from neglect or truency.
  • I did to, but I checked to see which of my stores were going to carry the guide, saw that they had it in stock, and went and picked it up.
  • Also, the standard guide *I did not get collectors guide*, comes with a free, included eguide, which I assume will be readable on kindles, tablets, and ipads, which is searchable, and will be updated as thesims4 base game is updated. I do not assume it will be updated to include expansion stuff, unless it is patched in.
  • the guide is big. it is also easy to read, though I wish it was spiral bound, but I can always rip it apart, and turn it spiral myself. on statues, there is a mysims statue collection that you can find by digging under rocks, and finding treasure maps that will lead you to capsules, where you can find the my sims statues…
  • I like the looks, CAS is great, the new building options, and build tools are spectacular... and the gameplay is bland. I will not be returning my game. I always loved the base games for what it brought us that we never had before, like 3d and wishes/fears in sims2, and open worlds, collectables, and moodlets in thesims3.…
  • it runs really smoothly, and i like how everything works... but I, in my first hour, found the game to be rather boring compaired to the three basegames that came before it. I think I will buy the prima guide, but in all honesty, this just doesn't seem to offer much.
  • i heard that reviews are embargoed until the game is offically released to the american market. the live streams i have tracked down were all done by EA, or with EA's permission, and the only people i know of who have the game early are people who work in the industry, or are big names in the fandom who run websites or are…
