Bored With Sims. Game ideas?

Well, I'm pretty bored with my families. I've been playing a family with two kids and a newborn and a "camp" I made, but It's getting realllly boring. And none of my other saves are intriguing me...
So I've turned to the community :D
I don't want something lengthy and real time consuming. I'm looking for something easy, short, and different. I don't care if the ideas are stupid, because it might be entertaining.
So, please throw the ideas of what you found fun out there. I'm willing to try lots of ideas :D

Mmm, let's see... Diablo 3 (short and sweet hack and slash), Mass Effect 1-3 (though time consuming, very worth while), and Skyrim (also time consuming, but fun) are some games that I play in my time away from Sims. :) I particularly recommend the Mass Effect series (though definitely start with the first one, as they import your saved game for the 2nd and 3rd) if you haven't played it before. Although lengthy, you can put it down at any time and come back to it sometime later. It's generally what I play when I'm not simming, as the 3rd also has multiplayer functionality. It's a lengthy RPG with close-up third person shooter gameplay. Even for those gamers that don't usually play shooters (as I didn't until I started with Mass Effect), the casual difficulty setting can be completed with a decent amount of ease.

You could create a TV/movie family and play with them. It might get you to try a different play style which will make things interesting again. I mentioned in another thread how it would be fun to recreate the Scooby Doo characters and play with them in the ghost hunter career.

When I can't get to my computer because my family kick me off, I turn to SingStar! Nothing better than belting out Abba numbers to an empty room :D

    Thanks for all the ideas!
@WowLynnia- Thanks! I'll definitely look into those games. I'm not much of a gamer off the PC but I'll do some research and read reviews. I've heard great things about those.
@djbacardi- Cool! I'll have to look through that site further!
@exotickitten-Good idea, great find! I'll definitely have to download and play with that!
@asterravos- (first I love your avi and siggy!) Unfortunately I d9on't have the ghost hunter career :( Don't have Ambitions! But, that is a really good idea! I've actually done that before but the family was really overwhelming. I'll have to find a good family. All the choices I can think of aren't doable on Sims 3 (a.k.a Avengers lmao)

Thanks again for the ideas! Any more?

Yeah, you go! Sounds like fun! But I prefer to boost up my Kinect and bust out some moves with Dance Central ;) Unfortunately my parents are watching movies on the tv hooked up with the kinect, so that isn't an option...plus it's getting late and I don't know if I'd have the energy. Lmao!

This sounds like fun too! You need parents like me ... my son says "jump" and I say "how high?" ;)

No problem ^_^ All three of those are PC games, as well. Mass Effect 1-3 are purchasable through Origin, Skyrim is available on Steam, and Diablo 3 is purchasable through Blizzard's service, Battle.net. Here are some videos about them:

Side note, all three allow you to play female characters as well as males, and Skyrim and Mass Effect allow you to design your appearance.

Haha, no problem. :) The only reason I put the ratings on there is so that the forum moderators wouldn't get upset that I was linking to mature content on a site for teen rated game. :XD:

That sounds fun! What do you do for their traits? Would you give them the same exact traits or different ones? And is it kind of like a Wishacy where you just let them do what they want to do?

When I recently needed a break from the sims, Plants Vs. Zombies proved to be a fun (and cheap) diversion. I'd definitely recommend it!
Hi. I'm Danger. I like spaceships, Pringles, and cats. I dislike fruits and vegetables, sunlight, and the motion picture Titanic. I do not own a sword, nor do I know how to draw unicorns. As you can see, I don't have much to offer the world.

Have you tried the asylum challenge? It's a pretty fun (fairly short term) depending on the LTW and what you make your asylum like. Llandros from YouTube on his nightmare camp put in cow plants and jelly bean bushes. It was a mad house. But I played the regular Asylum Challenge and really enjoyed it. It was something different.
