    I'm sorry... but I have a dumb question.

    I cannot figure out how to play as a different Sim without just starting a new game. Is it possible? I'd like to be able to switch over to another Sim, advance them, and have them live in the same community as my other Sims.

      Go to the options screen on bottom left and choose Edit Town. Then once in nehgborhood screen look on lower left for button called Change Active Household. Walaaa

      AH! There's a "change active household button" then? Ok... thanks a million.

      You can, just hit the button in the corner when in your exsiting family and click edit town, after reaching that, by the manuvering buttons there should be a button all the way to the left of the screen that says change active household.

      Problem being. once you do this, the previous family continues to live (progression mode) and when you go back to play with that family you might be married, they may have moved, babies, death, anything really lol
