"Anna" An Annie Parody

Hey! Annie's one of my favorite musicals and I thought it would make a great story in Sims!
However anyone who knows my stories knows I like to have some romance in it, so instead of orphan Annie,
I have Anna, a homeless adult girl living at a homeless shelter, working for Miss Hannigan trying to pay off her parents debts.

Starting a christmas story.

Miss Hannigan stumbled into the kitchen late that evening, after having
too much nectar as usual. Anna hated her employer...she hated living in a homeless
shelter...but she had no choice, her family dumped her here many years ago, when
they couldn't afford to take care of her as child, they left a note stating they would come back
and pay for her keep, but they never did. In return for a shelter, Miss Hannigan made Anna clean,
cook and watch over the homeless children.

Miss Hannigan: I hear happiness upstairs!!! Are those girls having fun?!
Anna: No, they aren't.
Miss Hannigan: Liar! What's the one thing I've always told you?
Anna: Never tell a lie.
Miss Hannigan: Rotten brat! I should have left you on the streets
where you belong.

Screenshot-238.jpg
"I'm not going to sit around and let her boss me like that! I'm so fed
up with her." Anna packed what she could carry, which was very little
giving the fact that she was homeless. And she went into the cold streets
of New York City.

Screenshot-239.jpg
As she wandered the streets, she took in the sights and sounds of
the city. Never once had she been out and about in New York, as she
made her way down the sidewalk, she was greeted by a friendly face.

Screenshot-240.jpg
"What's the matter boy? Are you homeless to?" She bent down and
gave the dog a gentle pet on the head. "I know things look bleak,
but they got to get better, they just got to."

The sun will come out tomorrow bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow they'll be sun
just thinking about tomorrow, clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow, till there's none.
When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely, I just stick out my chin and grin and say.

Screenshot-243.jpg
The sun'll come out tomorrow, so you gotta hang on till tomorrow, come what may.
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you Tomorrow. You're only a day away.

Screenshot-245.jpg
Officer: Hey you! Come here.
Anna: Yes, officer?
Officer: That dog there, haven't I seen him running about?
Anna: No sir, he's my dog.
Officer: Then what's his name?
Anna: Uh... Sandy, that's right Sandy, because he's a nice sandy color.
Officer: Likely story, hey aren't you the girl that's missing from the homeless shelter?
You're coming with me.

back at the shelter

Screenshot-247.jpg
Miss Hannigan: Just wait until tomorrow, I'm going to bust your chops!
If the board of NYC hears that I let the homeless run rampid, I'll lose my license!
Now get to bed!

    The next morning:

    Screenshot-271.jpg
Grace: And why can't I let Anna come to spend the holidays with us?
Grace was personal Secretary to William Danials, the richest man in the city.
She was here to invite someone from the shelter to spend the holidays with them.
Miss Hannigan: Because she's a drunk.
Grace: Pish Posh, Anna how would you like to spend the holidays with us?
    Anna: Boy would I!

    Screenshot-272.jpg
Miss Hannigan: Now wait just a minute, you can have anyone in the shelter,
    except Anna.
Grace: Miss Hannigan, this doesn't have anything to do with the police?
    Miss Hannigan: She's all yours.

    Screenshot-273.jpg
About 45 minutes later, the limo pulled up in front of a mansion.
Anna was overtaken with amazement, she thought it was a train station,
    until Grace corrected her.

    Screenshot-275.jpg
Grace: Now, Anna, what is it that you would like to do first?
Anna: The walls, that way when I do the floors, I won't slip.
Grace: Anna, dear.Your our guest here, you don't have to do any chores.
    Anna: I don't?
    Grace: No.

    Screenshot-276.jpg
William: Grace, I'm home..Are there any calls for me?
Grace: Just the president sir, He said its very urgent and to call him
as soon as you got in.
William: Tell him I'll call him later...and

    Screenshot-279.jpg
    William: Who is this?
Grace: This is Anna, the young lady from the homeless shelter. She'll
be spending the holidays with us.
William: I thought you were going to get a boy and an orphan?
Grace: You didn't say it had to be a child or a boy, so I offered it to this
    young lady.
Anna: I'm sorry, I'm not a boy or a child, sir.
William felt like a fool after not being so welcoming to the young lady
    standing before him.

    Screenshot-278.jpg
William: I couldn't be happier to have you spending the holidays with us.

    Screenshot-280.jpg
William: Uh...what are we suppose to do with her?
Grace: It is her first night here.
William: Right, Anna have you ever been to a broadway show?
    Anna: No.
William: Great! Then you'll go see a show with Grace.

    Screenshot-281.jpg
Anna plops down into the chair, all depressed and sad.
    Anna: Aww, Gee.
William: You don't want to go see a show.
    Anna: No...I do...just I thought you'd be taking me.
William: Anna, I just got back from a business trip and..

    Screenshot-282.jpg
    Anna: Aww Gee.
Grace: Sir, the president is on the phone.
William: ...Tell him I'm escorting a young lady to broadway
and I will call him back.

    Screenshot-283.jpg
Anna: Oh boy! I never been around NY before.
William: You live in New York and never seen it?
    Anna: Well, Miss Hannigan.
Grace: That's her employer at the shelter
Anna: She doesn't allow us to leave the property.
    What's NYC like?
William: NYC, what is it about you? You're big, your tough.NYC
I go years without and I can't get enough

    Screenshot-284.jpg
William: Enough of cab drivers answering back in language far from pure.

    Screenshot-285.jpg
William: Hurry up you slowpokes, we got to get to the Roxy
    before the prices change.
Grace: NYC the shadows at sundown.

    Screenshot-288.jpg
Grace: The roofs that scrape the sky.

    Screenshot-287.jpg
William: NYC, the rich and the rundown, the big parade goes by.
What other town has the empire state, and a mayor 5 foot two, no
other town in the whole 48 could half compare to you.

    Screenshot-291.jpg
William: The City's bright as a penny arcade, it tilt it gleams it shines.

    Screenshot-290.jpg
Anna: To think that I lived here all of my life and never seen these things. NYC I give you
fair warning, up there in lights I'll be. Go ask Go ask the Gershwin's or Kaufman and Hart the place

William: Grace, how long is Anna with us?
Grace: Just until after New Years.
William lets out a sigh of disappointment.
William: That doesn't seem long enough. Good Night
