Is there a way to change pet fears? I think my Sim's dog is scared of the stove. He covers his head with his paw and wimpers every time my Sim cooks lol.
LittleMsSam has a mod that allows you to train out Fears by calming the pet when they happen.
Simularity also has a dog trait called "happy-go-lucky" which basically makes the dog super zen and way less needy. I'm pretty sure it eliminates all the pet fears. There's one for cats, too.
Yeah, I hate them. They could be fun if I got to choose them in CAP, but instead I cannot make my cat because it just picks a random electronic to be afraid of.

I highly recommend this mod. I have used it for a long time in my game and it works great. I don’t like that pets are continuously scared of things, it isn’t realistic and makes no sense. Pets can learn not to be scared in real life so I see no reason why they can’t in the game.
just a bit late getting to this thread but pet fears are listed as reward traits if you check with one of the few mods that lets you check for hidden traits and such... as such they can be edited in and out, changed to suit your style/preferences, if you know how to do that (which is covered in several places in the hidden traits thread)
under the spoiler below is a list ofthe pet traits for adding/removal and such, both the quirks/fears and those that can be trained in/out (also included are results of adventuring around brindleton with an adventurous pet):

Any idea where it can be found please? I am useless at finding things on there.
Edit: Nvm, someone on Pinterest linked to it, it is here: https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post/175412291988/anti-fear-training-pets-train-your-pets-to-be

That list had a lot of info I didn't know about. I didn't even know there was a doorbell in the game but the pets can get scared of them
