It really is perfect for that lot. I opened this lot up last night and was either going to turn it into a restaurant / hangout, community maker space, or a luxury home.
I always enjoy seeing your builds. Your version of this lot looks great.

I thought about making it a restaurant too. We need more reasons to visit the big city.
A restaurant is a good reason. I chose to sacrifice a penthouse instead.
It did have quite the renovation.
I liked using it as a shared house for new young adults.
I also made it a rental lot once for sims wanting to live a week in San Myshuno and just attend all the festivals, bars, and restaurant.
I made my Old Salt House into a restaurant too, Sunflower's. It has a listening room downstairs and a kids area upstairs. It is the hub of social life in my San Myshuno save. If I ever get the industrial kit I'll probably give Sunflower's a makeover
The Industrial Loft pack lacks a matching front door, a weird oversight unless it is really only meant to be used for that one penthouse in the Art district... I bought the pack on a lark the other day since I am home alone on dog watch for three weeks with money to burn.
I love all the items in the pack but there literally is no front door in the game that works with the pack, which makes me suspect it is only meant to be used in the penthouse, where you don't have a front door t worry about.
The Old Salt House (which I assume, lore wise, already is a converted Customs building; back in the 19th century and up to about WWI, many cities had local customs buildings even for small local harbors for inport / exports. We have one such building in the town I work along the river there for example). is a prime target otherwise. But I should also point out the Karaeoke bar next door; in fact all three buildings along the water front there are old converted factories (although the biggest is not playable, only set dressing, the Karaoke Bar is definitely a converted industrial building).

It's in the world, but I would have to do a CC scrub to replace any CC content.
I have used the industrial kit for one of the apartments in Evergreen harbor. And the DHD stuff for another apartment in Evergreen Harbor.
