Home Movies not playing on TV

I just found out that I can record videos in game and play them on the TV. I bought the most expensive video camera, TV and the home movie disk holder. When my sims watch the home movie it is pretty much just a still image of the video, nothing actually plays.

I do have all my game graphic settings set to the lowest setting, I'm not sure which one I should raise in order for it to play on the TV. Or if there is an in game work around to properly watch home movies without the use of cheats/ mods.

Is this on the new 64-bit Mac version (as per one of your other posts)? Not sure offhand, but this may be one of the game elements that does not work as expected on that version.

Yes I play the Sims 3 Mac 64 version. I tried raising some of the graphic settings but that didn't seem to work.

In that case, I would suggest posting on EA's AHQ TS3 for Mac board to see if this is known shortcoming of the 64-bit version or if something else is at fault.
