@Becka28 I'm really not liking Mirabelle. I think the way she treats Larry bothers me the most. I think the other guys dodged a bullet. I wouldn't let my twins anywhere near her, and I feel bad for the doctor and his identical twin brother. I just can't do that to my identical twins. Dylan and Zeph continue to visit in spite of their romance cheated to 0. If I wasn't doing a challenge, I would have let Serene and Alexander be one big merfamily. So far, all of the donors have been stand up guys, ready to commit to raising a family with Serene. It hurts a little to constantly send them away and ignore their calls.
Jordan and Cherie were the co-stars of "B-Lister" actress Julia Ann. It was Jordan's first time to meet her.
After the gig, she got promoted to "Rising Star," and she took selfies with Jordan.
Dane got promoted three times again during his second week at work. He acquired the "Workaholic" lifestyle in the process. He picked the gamer branch of the Tech Guru career track, so he's now able to livestream his gaming sessions and gain lots of fans and followers. He also finished making an app he called "Naughty Llama" that made him more famous. Something happened at work that raised his celebrity status to "B-Lister."
In the morning of Winterfest, Mick, with Mikhail, paid a visit to Manuel and their father to give them Winterfest present. Back at home, his family enjoyed a grand meal together and opened presents. They were visited by Father Winter.
Jordan's family had a Winter Break vacation in Komorebi. They rented the 2-4-2 Wakabamori vacation house.
Jordan, Markus, and Jordi spent the first day of vacation building Rock Climbing skill further to prepare for Mountain Excursion. Markus and Jordi both reached Level 6 while Jordan reached Level 7. They had dinner together near the food stall in Yukimatsu.
Next morning, the three cousins pushed through with the Mountain Excursion that they have been planning since their last visit to Komorebi. Jordan kissed his wife and son before leaving. The three of them were able to gather near the first trail map marker.

In the second phase, Markus and Jordi rested in a tent first while Jordan proceeded to climb the rock wall. The other two followed after an hour of rest. They all reached the trail map marker.
In the last phase, they all proceeded to climb the tall rock walls right away, and they were able to reach the destination unscathed.
The three of them spent the night at the peak of Mt. Komorebi. Of course, they took selfies for souvenir.
They were back to their lodging by next morning. It was the last day of the year! They spent the New Year's Eve at the Sutefani Onsen bathhouse. Jordan and Cherie Woohooed in the hot springs with paparazzis around while Markus, Jordi, and Aidan watched TV and ate some yakisoba.
Jordan and Cherie later joined the countdown to midnight.
For the rest of their stay, Jordan read books to Aidan while the others relaxed in the hot springs.
Well, I remade my favorite Star Trek Voyager duo, Captain Kathryn Janeway & Commander Chakotay. I finally got her hair color right thanks to the recent update. I decided to give them the last name of their Starship. I even redid their shelter that I made back in 2019. Unfortunately, I could only use the Star Wars stuff. I so wish we actually had a Star Trek stuff pack, that would set me up really good. I based my Voyager couple from my all time favorite Episode called Resolutions in
Star Trek Voyager season 2. My new upgrades are now saved in the Gallery under SEREFRAS for any Star Trek Voyager fans who are simmers to play with.
^Oh I love Voyager. I watched "Course: Oblivion" last night. Pretty sad ending to that.
Anyhow I was controlling Melony earlier when she suddenly became Very Sad. Someone died but I didn't know who it was at first. I don't fully understand how the 'mourning' system works, but it seems to trigger for any person in the relationship tab that has a reasonably high friendship value. The person that died was Katrina Caliente(Sakamoto as she married him). Died from old age. For a pre-made, she had a good life. Got away from Don and found her a nice man and stuck with him til they died together.

Ok not exactly how I wanted to do that, but game design stuff.
Serene started the challenge running. On the other side of the island, her first donor waited for her.
Serene traveled with him to another island, and Serene proved to be a natural when it came to romancing the young merman. The two quickly fell for each other, and Serene woohooed with Alexander.
Shortly after Serene found out she was pregnant, Alexander vanished into the sea. Serene didn't know why he left, but it was possible that he didn't have a choice.
While Serene was pregnant, she couldn't hold her bladder to save her life.
Immediately after cleaning herself up, she lost control of her bladder again.
There were nights where she wet herself in her sleep and frequently had to use the bathroom.
Some nights, she almost made it to the bathroom before losing bladder control.
Serene was a nature lover and lived off the land. Unfortunately, her tendency to eat the raw food she grew was the root of her bladder issues. So, she started cooking her veggies.
It wasn't long before she went into labor and Alden was born the day of Spooksfest.
Along with her preference to live close to nature, Serene preferred breast feeding over bottle feeding.
If Serene had her way, she would have settled for a family with Alexander and Alden.
For Spooksfest, Serene dressed as Princess Leia and spent the night watching over her little Alderaan, ensuring no harm would come to him.
Serene's painting eventually paid off and she built a nursery for Alden.
The garden helped with the expenses, and Serene went out to tend to it in spite of thunderstorms and monsoons.
When she needed someone to lean on, she had the company of Alden. Even as a baby, he brightened her stormy days.
It wasn't long before Alden aged up to be a toddler. The time seemed to fly by.
Alden was quite the charmer as a baby, and he had a lot of love to share as a toddler.
The first thing Serene did was teach him his basic needs. Alden often tried to cheat.
The things he learned, like the importance of sleep and eating blew his mind.
Eventually, his mind couldn't take much more, and he began to struggle with learning his basic needs. Too many flash cards.
Serene gave him a soothing hug and that made everything better.
The next thing Serene was determined to teach Alden was the potty. She didn't want him to struggle with accidents like she did. Unfortunately, Serene was not a good potty instructor.
Of course, Serene gave Alden a big hug, and that helped to soothe his feelings about having an accident.
Serene: "It's okay. If only you knew how much I struggled while I carried you as a nooboo."
To help Alden through the ordeal, she taught him shapes with the blocks.
Serene: "And that's a square block."
Serene: "And it's yellow."
Alden's thoughts: "Looks like the color of beach sand!"
Alden's thoughts: "I'm hooked on blocks!"
Serene: "As you can see, some blocks aren't quite squares or triangles. Those are trapezoids."
Alden's thoughts: "My mind is blown out of this world!"
It was Friday evening and the end of the week. Serene read Alden to sleep so that he could start the weekend off well-rested.
Serene: "And that's when the Astronaut began floating into space..."
Serene: "With him, a dragon flew through the cosmos in an orbit that would never end."
Serene's thoughts: "I totally ripped off another story. I have no idea what the author was thinking when he put an Astronaut in a T-Rex suit and had him ice skate on the moon. Alden will never know the truth, but most importantly, he's asleep."
Saturday morning, Serene had breakfast with Alden.
While Serene tended to the growing garden, Alden began doing things on his own to care for himself. He found ways to meet his own needs instead of throwing tantrums or crying.
He made his own fun.
When Serene finished tending to the Garden, she taught Alden please and thank you. Alden learned to be well mannered very quickly.
Serene also taught Alden how to apologize. He loved learning these new words!
Serene started teaching Alden how to talk, but some of the things Alden said sounded familiar, like the kinda things she said when she stubbed her toe that one time.
Alden was starting to get frustrated, so Serene gave him some space. While she painted, Alden played with his toys instead of throwing a tantrum.
Once Serene finished her painting, Alden used his words instead of his tears to ask for food. Serene was happy to help.
Alden: "Mommy, food please!"
When Serene returned to painting, Alden happily put himself to bed for a nap.
Serene finished her paintings, and woke Alden up to give him a bath. Despite spending all his time in the little nursery, he started to get a little grungy. Alden loved the attention.
After his bath, Alden tried to sneak off into the ocean. Serene grabbed him before he got far. He's a very young merboy, and he doesn't have his fins yet. He really had no business in the surf.
Once again, Serene read Alden to sleep. He had most of his skills fairly well developed at this point, so she unlocked the nursery gate for him.
Alden woke up halfway through the night because he needed to potty. Serene had a third eye for things like this and got out of bed before he could start crying.
Sunday morning, Serene and Alden danced together on the beach. They were both terrible at dancing, but that just added to the fun. When the power ran out, Serene taught Alden more of his basic needs and worked on helping him develop his skills. Late at night, Alden woke up in the middle of the night because he was hungry. Serene didn't have as quick of a reaction to him entering her room. None the less, she woke up and listened to his question. Once again, Alden used his words to ask for help instead of throwing a tantrum.
Alden: "Mommy, hangry!"
Even though Serene wanted to spend every moment possible with Alden, she had to paint to raise money for the household. Alden seemed to know this, and if there was something he could do on his own, he did it without crying or throwing a tantrum. He wanted to spend time with his mommy as much she wanted spend time with him.
Eventually, Serene began romancing the next merman that would be a donor.
With the Nooboo Maker 3000, Serene was confident that she would conceive, but her first attempt at conceiving failed. It was almost like the simverse was trying to say bring back Alexander and give up on the challenge.
Eventually, Serene embraced becoming a mermaid, so that she could try sleeping in the ocean to make more room for the growing family. After a few tries, she was able to conceive a child with Dylan Zalrian.
Serene made many sacrifices to paint and raise money to improve the nursery for Alden, but Alden didn't want all the new things he got. He wanted to spend time with his mom. Alden could feel the rift between him and her grow.
Alden started to act out and began throwing tantrums to get more attention. When Serene tried to hug it out, he wouldn't have it. Once Again, Serene made sacrifices to begin buying everything he needed as a child, but he didn't see what she was trying to do. He didn't understand that he needed a new bed. Alden was growing fast, and Serene knew it.
Serene sat on the bed, in the dark after the power reserves ran out. She read Alden a bedtime story in a nursery that was growing bigger, and her bedroom grew smaller. To make room for the larger nursery, she had to give up space in her own room. She was expecting another nooboo.
After Alden went to sleep, Serene sat on his new bed and watched over him for a moment. He would never know that she gave up a few minutes of sleep just to make sure he was alright sleeping through the night.
Part of why Serene spent so much time painting was because she needed to move her study too. There just wasn't enough room in the house for her study and the nursery, and making sure Alden had everything he needed was more important than keeping the study in the house. With the funds she raised from painting, she built a pavilion that would act as her new study outside.
While Serene slept off morning sickness, Alden looked at his story books. He sat quietly as the lights flickered on and off. There was another monsoon outside, and the power reserves frequently ran out and replenished as the solar panels struggled to keep up with the electricity consumption. Keeping the power on was one of Serene's priorities and another thing that kept her away from Alden.
Alden wanted more attention, but he had everything he needed to keep himself busy in his nursery. Despite Serene's absence, she did provide him with everything he could possibly need or want, except the attention he wanted and needed.
It was close to the end of the week, and Serene finally had her study ready. Once again, she put Alden's needs before everything else. She couldn't let him wander around her study without carpets to cushion any potential falls. Lava rock pavement could be painful without propper padding. Alden started by watching his mom paint. He finally got to see what she was up to while he was alone. Most importantly, he got to be with her and socialize with her while she painted.
While Serene looked at her art in frustration, Alden twirled around as he danced next to his mommy. For Alden, everything was finally perfect again even though Serene's painting wasn't.
Alden: "And I really love the blocks. They're my favorite!"
Serene stopped her painting to make sure she listened to all of Alden's words.
Serene brought Alden with her into her study. She had some big plans for a beach playground and began working on another painting to raise the funds. Alden decided that he would help by making his own artwork.
Alden made multiple messes, and each time he did, Serene hugged it out. She reassured him that she wasn't trying to ignore him.

Serene returned to painting while Alden danced at her side, but she started feeling it happen. It was go time.
While in labor, she carried Alden back to the nursery and had her next child.
Before long, Erik was born. He was a miracle baby that took three attempts to have.
After giving birth to Dylan's Son, Dylan's evil doppelgänger called.
Fortunately, Serene was prepared to lose power.
Zephyr and Dylan would stop by often to check on their extended family. It was hard to send them away to avoid having them help with raising the children.
Alden started to develop a really bad habit of making messes. I think he just wanted hugs from his mom every time he made a mess.
The beach playground wasn't done, but it was functional. Serene put Alden in the playground pin while she worked on painting. The fence didn't stop Alden from getting as close as he could to Serene to dance. He completely ignored the slide and ball pit.
The nooboo kept Serene away from Alden more often than before. Before Serene could read Alden to sleep, he curled up on a pillow and dozed off.
But, it was finally time for Alden to move onto Childhood.
I apologize. I accidentally deleted the age up screenshot when I was trying to back track. Alden received the Loner Trait from the In-Game Trait Randomizer. He also got the creatively gifted childhood aspiration.
And Erik became a Toddler.
Erik received the Silly Toddler Trait from the in-Game Randomizer. That's the same trait Dylan had as a Toddler.

So I am loving the new likes/dislikes features that came on Thursday!! I haven’t played with them extensively but from what I’m seeing, the features are pretty cool. It gives our sims a bit more personality.

I may have to do some experimenting… @keidra AHHH!! I do the same thing! I have a bank vault in Windenberg I have my families put their money in. Its fun to have some klepto or evil sims break in and steal it from time to time. Or those sim households withdraw when their funds get low. It makes for more difficult gameplay if their funds are low to begin with. @mightysprite Thanks for liking Parvati’s apartment!! @metior_ice Good luck to Helios with dating Kalama-ainu! Oh jeez I bet you do hear some awful toxic stuff at work! I am glad students have you to talk to about their problems. And I am glad you have the Sims to unwind with! I definitely know I play the game to do just that. I work in the medical career in pathology (or the laboratory side of it called histology). We see so many specimens (i.e. biopsies/tissue/organs) removed from patients with serious medical conditions, it can get very depressing. And I have worked in morgues in the past. I definitely use the Sims 4 to unwind on bad days. I know people gripe about it not being more serious than other games, but for one I am grateful it's not!

Now for what happened in my game today:) I have been playing my Windenberg families, the Silversweaters and the Morecombe families:) And boy did some exciting stuff happen!!!! But first some vampire drama…
I started out by playing my new evil vampire household/clan whatever you want to call it. I am actually having fun playing this group. I prefer to play goodie-two-shoe families but sometimes its fun to mix it up. This household consists of Lacrymosa (I got the name from one of Terry Pratchett’s vampire characters in his book Carpe Jugulum-it means to cause tears) but I just call her Lacy. Anyway, Lacy formed a club/clan called the Clan of Chaos that she leads along with her 2 lackeys Jasper Overstreet and Malia Intent. They basically haunt all the nightclubs in town and feed on the locals and stir up trouble, and cause fights with my Morecombe clan of vampires.
Lacy tends to fight anything and everything that moves, including her roommates. It was Neighborhood Brawl day. Lacy’s favorite holiday apparently lol
Lacy is a top level Grand Master vampire. She’s been around for a few centuries. She was kicked out of her last clan for stirring up trouble. She recruited Jasper into her new clan. He’s a minor vampire and she’s been training him up to act as her backup. He’s been around for a few decades
The youngest member of their group is Malia Intent, whom Lacy very recently turned into a vampire. Lacy makes her do all the chores around the house.
Lacy is the only one that works and brings home a paycheck. The game made her a police officer of all things lol. Anyway, while she was at work one day, Jasper started complaining about her to Malia.
Malia disagreed with Jasper, but only because Lacy was her vampire mom. Since Jasper was in such a foul mood, she decided to take him to the mall for some shopping. And maybe lunch
They bought a tv and new computer right after
They went back home and started watching a movie when Jasper decided to make a move (I prompted it)
But the rest of their interactions were all their own!
Ok they are cute together
One thing moved from there and they shared a kiss
I was going to leave it at that but since I have autonomous on, they had other ideas
OMG
Meanwhile, Lacy came home from work and put an end to the shenanigans after grabbing a snack
She gave both of them a vampire lecture

Then...it was time to go clubbing. They went to the Narwhal Arms. I love Narwhal Arms because the craziest stuff happens here.
This place was DEAD. Until it got a bit more UNDEAD. Ha ha
My favorite vampire clan arrived. Griffin was here! He was getting down
He brought along his kid brother Barnaby and Caleb Vatore was floating around
Things got a bit more magical when Simeon Silversweater showed up. I caught him helping his niece-in-law Cassandra Munch (nee Goth) do a keg stand. Which he accidentally dropped her lol
Caleb Vatore was devastated. What a waste of good alcohol!
Meanwhile, Lacy was giving the stink eye at Griffin. She can’t stand him. He’s top bat in the Windenberg and she schemes on taking over.
Its the same thing every time they cross paths. She insults his fang size
And they get into a fight
It was pretty epic
But Griffin won as usual
Now to the most exciting part of my playthrough!
Griffin ran back in to get back to dancing, when his kid sister Joanna made her appearance. Looking fantastic as always and strutting her stuff. I am glad she’s getting back to life after becoming a widow.
Joanna is the lowest ranking vampire in Griffin’s clan, but check out the stink eye she gave Malia! Fortunately Malia and Jasper were too busy making gooey-eyes at each other to notice:) What’s That Smell?! I think its Love in the Air!!
Then I noticed Simeon’s reaction to Jo. I have seriously been shipping these 2. They developed a bit of a pink romance bar while hanging out in the Magic Realm.
Griffin has been shipping them as well apparently.
I immediately used MCCC to switch to Griffin’s household. There was a bit of reshuffling of sims in the mean time. I had Griffin hook-up Simeon with Joanna

So... Summer and Liberty died on the New Years Eve, Summer died first by freezing to death while swimming in the pool and Liberty died because she went into the pool to check what happen to Summer. Pleading didn't helped.
At first I didn't know what to do. Do I revert to earlier point or do I continue? I decided to continue and see what happens, then I thought "oh well I guess Travis will have two ghost friends/girlfriends now might be fun!" and decided to move them both back to BFF household. So I moved the urn to my lot (figured it will be much difficult to catch them spawning on BFF lot, if ever). It was a bit sad at first because Liberty would always spawn sad.
Summer was also sad but with her it was easier because my sim's (Rosemary) friendship meter with her was maxed already and I just invited her to my household.
And then she was back in pool on BFF lot
But then I thought "wait, isn't Rosemary a witch? Wasn't there a spell that brings sims to life? I've never done that before!" So it become a Revival Quest, because Rosemary didn't know the spell yet. So after a week of pestering Morgyn (Morgyn was not impressed) and some tome searching, Rosemary got her hands on the Necrocall and Dedeathify spells.
Meanwhile Liberty was waging war onto all the plumbing available to her.
It took quite a bit of effort to get her move into household.
But finally I managed to move her first into Rosemary's household and then back to BFF
And after Rosemary plopped the gravestones back to their lot and cast the Dedeathify spell on both
Everything went back to normal
Btw if you ever want to return someone from dead via this spell, be sure that the ghost belongs to yours or other household first (meaning they appear in household as member), because otherwise you will be able revive them, but they will be forever stuck in that invisible household for ghosts and they won't appear as separate household anywhere on the manage household panel. (had to redo a portion of this Revival Quest because of this little detail.)
The Star Accolades Event was held in Club Calico for the first time. Famous singer Britney won an award that night.
Dane got promoted to "Champion Gamer" (Level 10 of Tech Guru-Gamer branch). Using the reward item for his promotion, he participated in a professional gaming tournament and won third place. He also started making his own game using the reward item that he received from a previous promotion.
Jordi was working out in Skye Fitness, and then he saw famous actress Julia Ann. He has a crush on her, so he asked for autograph and selfie.
Erik co-starred with Julia Ann as her leading man in a TV show. She's seven Sim years older than Erik. No one noticed that Erik has no reflection when they were rehearsing scenes. Julia Ann's celebrity status rose to "Proper Celebrity" after shooting the scenes with Erik.
After the TV shoot, Erik met up with Dane in Orchid A Go Go. He drank from a paparazzi making sure no one could see him doing it. Not contented with it, he used his vampire powers to make her need to pee.
Jordan co-starred with Nikki, a new actress ("Rising Star" status), in a TV show. She's Johnny Zest's girlfriend.
Jordi and Darling had a Love Day date in the restaurant-inn in Newcrest. They messed around after eating.
Markus and Sofia had their Love Day date in Discotheque Pan Europa.
After the date, they went to the Myshuno Meadows where they could be more private. They messed around in the observatory, and they both lost their virginity.
Gonna do this update a little differently this time around, because I'm catching you guys up on the last few days of play ( the Eisenstern legacy is already updated, so if you want the first-person story adventure, Wolf Blood is here ).
So from a player standpoint, not an in-story one, I got so fed up with Cassie and Ivander that I straight up deleted them both. ( Also, I realised after I deleted her that there was still the original Cassie in the game, she was a ghost, and lent some credence to the idea I had some time back that straight up duplicating a Sim premade occasionally messes up something in the code and breaks one of the two, as I theorise happened with Ezio and Morgyn. ) Basically what happened with Caleb and Morgyn the first time they got married happened to Gabriel and Cassandra, that is after a point their relationship became just a lot of off-hand woohoo.
( They'd have had 3 kids by the end if I hadn't flagged her not to have more kids. )
Anyway, this marks the first time I've ever been a vengeful deity and straight up deleted a played Sim. It set me back a ways because Ivander was our heir, but I got Gabriel someone else and they've had another heir. This one's the J name, because I did eventually put Cassie and Ivander back in for story reasons ( I've had so many legacy saves corrupt that I'm obsessively consistent about taking save back ups lol so I had a copy of them in my backups ).
Also the Plum Tree app's annoying me again so back to Family Echo with me. Like why is it so many steps to add someone new to the tree? Just why. If I knew enough Javascript I'd make my own tree app because Family Echo also isn't quite right either.
Anyway. HUGE update warning. No square cropping because there are so many I can't care any.
This is Gabriel's new lady fran, Branwen. She has a twin, Dove, who was supposed to found the Ciresi legacy but ended up spending a lot of time being a mermaid instead. Yeah lol as you can guess she's a reeeeally old Sim of mine.
Avery does not look impressed.
Strangely, she aged up to elder and suddenly became a Chinese dragon, Idk.
This was not a pose or anything, they just aligned this way on their own idling.

Branwen's twin sister Dove is a mermaid, and it kind of looks like she's telling Gabriel here that she's one too lol She actually isn't, she's just got the leg scales tattoos to simulate that she is one. I kind of wanted her to be a spellcaster-mermaid hybrid but ended up leaving it alone. So we can just pretend and I'll write it into the story.
Went on a date to Koloa Seaside ( also by jenba / Origin ID silrosse ). And Kaylie, Freya, and Ellen were there. Right behind Gabriel.
Then we got Morgyn at the bar, and naturally that'd be the first place he went. ( I heard the teleport noise, and his voice and was like "Ezio?" but no. )
They ended up not far from Gabriel and Bran either, and Morgyn spent half the evening glancing at them off and on like there was a Problem. ( Okay, IC, there is. Lol Morgyn's probably like, who is this, isn't he married? Is that who he married? Wait Im confused. That blank stare is Morgyn's panic face. Either that or the murder face. It can be either one. Pray you don't know which one. )
And behind HER, they got, freakin, Ari and Nathalie! Can't go anywhere without half your extended family showing up LOL
Cecily is not impressed with Bran. Actually, they don't really get along, it's like they talk but their interactions don't grant as much friendship points as normal, like how some Sims pairings have huge jumps in friendship bar? But the reverse. And honestly there's no logical reason why they don't get along, they just don't.
Tbf about it though, Hilda's made friends with L and enemies with Simeon, so you know. I don't know how does this game work.
We had the Festival of Light happen, so I went ahead and sent the lovebirds to the Festival. They rapid cycled between sentiments here, got the wish one and then...

Gabriel pulled an Ezio, and actually autonomously proposed to her at the festival, but she said no because they'd just had their first kiss that day and ykw fair girl. Gabriel didn't take it too hard, thankfully. And I was just like "Nooo, nono, trust your watcher, we have a plan here!"
We went through a week of gameplay, and then did another date on that Friday. Saturday? Idr. ... Sunday, apparently. Anyway, tried a different restaurant this time. I call it Prima, but it's called Modern Restaurant on the gallery. By Gemma_033. Gorgeous place, needs some tweaks though.
Morgyn also followed them to this one.
Since they almost starved to death waiting for their meals at the restaurant, I decided to bring them home for this. She said yes this time.

Also, I rediscovered and reinstalled the studio effect player and had some fun building custom fireplaces. You know without the temperature-altering fire. Hilda came by in spring, it was a cold day, and lit the fireplace. Gabriel proceeded to almost overheat next to it two days later. >_> I deleted the fireplace and built a new one.
Ezio seems less than pleased to be doing this again.
This honestly gave me feels. It really did. It was so nice to have them all together again, and my heart just did that thing where it threatened to explode.
It was honestly hard not to put her in the same dress Cassie wore but, we found something else lol. Also a Sifix, go figure. The tiara is a bonus, made by batsfromwesteros. Also, Diaval was at their feet for the vows xD

Akira came out and gets along decently with Branwen, so that's cool. I'm just imagining this conversation, "Soo... who were you talking to?" "Er... your great grandfather I guess." "..." "..." "... grandpa does that too." "Oh. Neat."
And the little monster is a girl, her name's Juno. Juno is the name of the wife of Jupiter in Roman mythology, she is the queen of the heavens, protectress of marriage and women, and goddess of finance. The name's meaning is unknown, but may be related to an Indo-European root word meaning youth.
The J name selections in Nordic languages were also dismal. So we got another Latin.
She seems to really like Cecily, it's always Cecily Juno goes to first. But! She is INFINITELY less annoying than her older brother. Omg. And like it wasn't even anything about him, it was just the precise way that his autonomy was set up to fire, I... that child did things that made 0 sense constantly. ... okay, well, that one time he for whatever reason rejected a joke Gabriel made ( Gabriel's comedy is capped out and Ivander wasn't in a bad mood ) REALLY didn't help his case much.
Also Juno sat down on the floor and ate. I've never seen a toddler do that, I was pretty sure they couldn't.

I'm back from my break. This game became quite busy and chaotic with all these children, so I barely did good pictures in these 24 sim days.
A little bit of background story. In 1954 the Miracle of Bern happened, where Westgermany won the 1954 FIFA World Cup Final surprisingly. This success help the citizen to a better connection with the young democratic westgermany and restored some faith for the future. Also the Nutrition status became pre-war-like, but also something happened which we called in german Fresswelle (eating wave) and the germany citizen became overweight, which was a sign of wealth in those years. The game support this and my sims got thicker in the game.
1954/1955 - the treaty of Paris brought back souveranity (except for Berlin and a few other cases) and ended the Allied occupation. Also the West European Union was founded.
1955 Return of the last tenthousand prisoners of war (sovjet union), many of them has trouble with this new life and became criminal or died early from the hunger years. Since the dices made no longtime prisoners of war in my game, I ignore this event. Hallstein-Doctrin became alive, basically it means no treaty when recognize officially eastgermany.
1956 Referendum of Saar. This brought back the Saarland to Germany in 1957.

Christmas in 1956 had a big surprise for all, the family bought a television, which was quite expensive compared to today, I think it had the price of 2 or 3 monthly salary.
During the post war years, the houses needed to be built fast, but they lack of good quality material, which will revenge in the later years.
I didn't count how many time this toilet was already broken.
Annemarie and Hans have now 5 Children (1 girl and 4 boys) and the next child is already produced.
I wish sims could run/ walk jog together - like Mt Komorebi walking trails.
This was the closest I have ever come to getting Quin and Rohan to do it (I think because they started from the same location, thanks to overlapping teleport, and their fitness levels are the same. But it is terribly hard to replicate and I can't if I include Beowoof. I think they would run together - they seem like that kind of couple.

Hey y'all, so I tried to experiment with premade genetics yesterday and today and they all came out exactly the same every time, so I have no idea about anything right now. Except that Elsa Bjergsen definitely looked different in a previous thread on this topic - the one posted had smaller eyes than all of mine did. Anyway for your info here is what I got after aging up all premade base game, Get Together and City Living child sims in my three played saves plus the test save. Except Alexander, Billie and Olivia I couldn't get from my first ever save because they died years ago.
Also, I aged each of these up to YA directly. I don't know if aging them to the teen stage first changes anything. I used cas.fulleditmode.

My memory says that the second save one had smaller eyes than the others, and the current save one may not have the heavy eyelashes. Other than that, no changes at all. And since she blinked, I am relying on memory for the differences.

I see no differences.
So.... absolutely does not prove my theory in any way. My new theory is that maybe the genetic code changes were made per game whenever they were made, so that any premade child aged up after that point is identical, while there may have been more variation before. The Alexander who does look different was aged up in 2017 or 2018, while my current save was aged up in 2020 and the test save one in 2021. For most of the others, all of them were aged up this weekend except for the second save's Olivia and Billie and Alexander, who were in a game with auto-aging on for all sims that hasn't been played since early 2018.
As an aside, if anyone was curious to know and doesn't already, I can finally tell you precisely how bloodline traits work with spellcasters. If a non-blooded spellcaster has children with a normal Sim, their children will be weak blooded, but will not necessarily be born themselves casters. So if they are not spellcasters, and have children with another non-blooded spellcaster, their children will not be blooded either. The bloodline trait has to be attached to a spellcaster to be passed down and strengthen. Furthermore, the introduction of other occults prevents the bloodline from strengthening.
Thus:
Ezio is an active spellcaster. His children all were born with weak bloodline.
Bryn was not born a spellcaster, but became one later. Her children were born strong bloodline, and most of them were also born spellcasters.
Her son Ari has strong bloodline, and though his wife is not a spellcaster, he is, and he has a bloodline trait, so their son Ragnar has ancient bloodline ( but was not born a spellcaster ).
Meanwhile, Cynemaer was also not born a spellcaster, and never became one. Despite also marrying and having children with a spellcaster, his weak bloodline trait disappeared, because he is the one with the bloodline trait and is not an active spellcaster. So his children Adriana and Kurtis do not have strong bloodline like some of their cousins.
Adriana married King, who happens to have a weak bloodline trait from his father, but he is a vampire like his mother and this trait did not pass to their son Johan. If King was either a spellcaster, or a human Sim, this would've passed down, and would've become strong if he was a spellcaster.
Because Kurtis is a spellcaster, his children should have weak bloodline and as long as they don't end up a different occult or human, it'll become strong in their children.
Likewise, Freya's one blood-related son Andor is half-alien, and did not inherit Freya's bloodline trait because Freya isn't a spellcaster. I suspect he wouldn't have inherited it even if she was a spellcaster, given he's half-alien, and the game does treat them like a different occult but I may be surprised. Stranger things have happened, and being fair, Cynemaer was born a vampire ( as was King ). Unfortunately these different-occulted Sims can't pass down bloodline traits because they can't also be spellcasters.

Anyway besides experimenting I also had a wedding today! Charlotte Munch-Andreas and Katrina Caliente tied the knot this afternoon.
You may recall that I had aged Katrina down to YA and her daughters to toddler.

The wedding was at the same location where Ivy and Alexander got married, which is on the same lot as the place where Cordelia and Wolfgang married but I didn't like that lot much in the long run and replaced it.
Most of the guests at least made it into the room for the ceremony.
And the big moment.
Afterwards they had a reception upstairs.

They did not serve a meal since it was a late night wedding, just drinks and dessert.
The guests included many of Charlotte's YA and teen cousins, as well as her mother's twin sister Amelia. I'm pretty sure Uncle Erick invited himself.

Ha, I love the Narwhal Arms too, for that very reason! It seems like most drama happens there. I catch the married Windenburg couples cheating on each other left and right, random hookups in the closet there, drunk sims falling over each other on the dance floor - hilarious. And only at the Narwhal Arms!
And it's looking just as crazy in your game, too! I can honestly say I never would've thought to see Simeon Silversweater lifting Cassandra (Goth) to do a keg stand there!
@Daephene The premade kids in my game also age up looking like yours. I rarely, if ever see any variances in their faces so drastic that they'd warrant a second look. Same hair, same eyebrows (for the most part), same faces.
@AlwaysAsking I love how your Orange ages up, he is so handsome. Orange is such a monstrosity in the game if you have the pack. I think yours is probably how they originally intended him to look before the weird genetics problems took over. You should put your Orange on the gallery.
The Orange (and Alexander) she posted is from my save. It's an ongoing one and still active. He did indeed age up with the cake pretty much like that (as opposed to hulking out like he usually does), and yes, I did fix Alexander's ears. If you want this particular Orange, I can link you to his tray files - I don't plan on sharing any more sims to my gallery.
It's definitely the original premade Orange aged up, with no adjustments to his face, just a hair and wardrobe change.

-Izzy’s all grown up. She’s going off to college, she isn’t sure what she wants to major in yet. Watcher, time flies, I should be used to it by now, I mean, I’m going gray, and I got extra weight that I’m not quite able to get rid of, it seems. I asked Josie if it bothered her to be married to an old man now, she just smiled and kissed me, she said I was still a hottie in her book. Sigh, I love that woman.
After her big graduation party, well, Izzy gave Wyatt his walking papers. He did not take it well, he was bawling like a baby and all afterwards. That boy really must have had it bad, or maybe this being his first crush and all, he just took it hard. I know how that is, I was a mess myself back then when I got dumped by Cadence before we both went off to Uni. Ah, that first teen love, boy does that take me back.

-I’m not stupid. I know, even without my two brothers telling me, which they sure did BTW, that Lacie’s way out of my league. So, her being all insecure and being so needy during her pregnancy kind of knocked me for a loop. I mean, I was really insecure as a teen, back then I had really bad acne, plus I started growing body hair young, in gym I was called pizza face or worse pizza plum and/or bigfoot. No wonder I had issues with my self-esteem as a teen. Jeez, I dreaded showering after gym class so much. My wife’s a total babe, she’s smart and beautiful and sweet natured, she’s the whole package. And I’m the worst looking Benali, trust me, I knew full well growing up that my brothers were way better looking than me. Anyway, I was really surprised to find out my wife had insecurities like I did. Just goes to show you, it isn’t really about looks or anything, I guess. I mean, they say love is blind, and I guess that’s true, because Lacie thinks I’m sexy as plum and gets kind of jealous sometimes. She told me that one time, that day when we met again after we both finished Uni, that she couldn’t hardly keep her hands off me when we were talking there in her bedroom, go figure.-
-We’re having a girl, I guess Lacie saw I was kind of, well, disappointed, I guess. On the way home from the doctor’s, she asked me if I had had my heart set on having a boy. So, I just told her that I had gotten it into my head, that if we had a boy, well, that maybe we could name him Salim. She thought a minute and said, what about we name her Salima. It’s a made up name, sure, but it sounds like Selina or Serena, and she’d have a unique name, I went to school with two other girls named Lacie and I always wanted a more uncommon name growing up, like yours. Well, I said, Samyr is pretty common I think. Not around here, she answered. Anyway, when I got home I took my pregnant wife upstairs and showed her just how much I love her several times. I was sure she would want to name our child some name from “The Eye of the Watcher”, like her siblings. I love the idea of having Salim’s name live on in my child.-
-Jeez, Izzy’s going to Uni. I can’t believe she’s, like, a grown woman and all now. Can it really be that long ago since she was an annoying little kid, following Kaden around all the time. Sigh, I’m starting to sound like my dad. Which, well, I am about to be a dad soon myself. I’m really nervous about it, my dad’s a tough act to follow. Kaden said so one time, he told me he hopes he can be half as good a father as ours was. Dad had it tough, having to raise us boys all alone after mom died and all. I know that must have been really hard, he had to be both mother and father to us for a long time and he, well, he’s been and still is a really good dad. I mean, us boys always knew he loved us and only wanted the best for us and all. Not a one of us ever doubted that. I worry that I won’t be up to it, that I won’t be able to parent my kids as good as I was, you know? This being a grown up is hard, just saying.-

I still get all filled up with emotions or whatever whenever I look at her. I think Lacie’s pretty much the same. Giving birth is a painful and scary thing, I don’t know how women ever get through it. I was scared to death for Lacie and Salima, worrying about what could go wrong and all. And having to see my wife screaming in pain and, well, it was kind of a very intense thing to go through for me and I can’t even begin to imagine what it was like for Lacie. I swear the next time she’s pregnant I will be a way better husband and make sure she is pampered and I promised myself I would not get bent out of shape no matter how she acts or what she needs me to do. I love that woman more now that ever did before, more than I ever thought was simley possible.-

-My boys did something really wonderful this year. They always got Josie a Mother’s Day card, one that said Step-Mother, of course. But this year they all three just got ones that said “mom”. I guess with Izzy going off to college they kind of knew she was a bit down, and she was absolutely overjoyed by those cards. I mean she burst into tears and everything when she read them, and she reads them over and over. I sure raised some good boys.-

@Keidra@Daephene I think Keidra is pretty accurate on the genetic stuff. the thing about comparing the premades in other player's games, is that without knowing what kinds of Mods or CC another players uses, well, it's hard to know what effect that might have on sims as they age up. For example, I use Zerbu's presets and also Meteor's default eyes CC. So those things could conceivably have some effect on how my sims age up. and it is possible that there is some degree of randomness built in, I know that with MCCC, you can set a built in randomness % on baby's genetics, for example.

Jordan and Cherie were the co-stars of "B-Lister" actress Julia Ann. It was Jordan's first time to meet her.
After the gig, she got promoted to "Rising Star," and she took selfies with Jordan.
Dane got promoted three times again during his second week at work. He acquired the "Workaholic" lifestyle in the process. He picked the gamer branch of the Tech Guru career track, so he's now able to livestream his gaming sessions and gain lots of fans and followers. He also finished making an app he called "Naughty Llama" that made him more famous. Something happened at work that raised his celebrity status to "B-Lister."
In the morning of Winterfest, Mick, with Mikhail, paid a visit to Manuel and their father to give them Winterfest present. Back at home, his family enjoyed a grand meal together and opened presents. They were visited by Father Winter.
Jordan's family had a Winter Break vacation in Komorebi. They rented the 2-4-2 Wakabamori vacation house.
Jordan, Markus, and Jordi spent the first day of vacation building Rock Climbing skill further to prepare for Mountain Excursion. Markus and Jordi both reached Level 6 while Jordan reached Level 7. They had dinner together near the food stall in Yukimatsu.
Next morning, the three cousins pushed through with the Mountain Excursion that they have been planning since their last visit to Komorebi. Jordan kissed his wife and son before leaving. The three of them were able to gather near the first trail map marker.

In the last phase, they all proceeded to climb the tall rock walls right away, and they were able to reach the destination unscathed.
The three of them spent the night at the peak of Mt. Komorebi. Of course, they took selfies for souvenir.
They were back to their lodging by next morning. It was the last day of the year! They spent the New Year's Eve at the Sutefani Onsen bathhouse. Jordan and Cherie Woohooed in the hot springs with paparazzis around while Markus, Jordi, and Aidan watched TV and ate some yakisoba.
Jordan and Cherie later joined the countdown to midnight.
For the rest of their stay, Jordan read books to Aidan while the others relaxed in the hot springs.

Star Trek Voyager season 2. My new upgrades are now saved in the Gallery under SEREFRAS for any Star Trek Voyager fans who are simmers to play with.
Anyhow I was controlling Melony earlier when she suddenly became Very Sad. Someone died but I didn't know who it was at first. I don't fully understand how the 'mourning' system works, but it seems to trigger for any person in the relationship tab that has a reasonably high friendship value. The person that died was Katrina Caliente(Sakamoto as she married him). Died from old age. For a pre-made, she had a good life. Got away from Don and found her a nice man and stuck with him til they died together.

Ok not exactly how I wanted to do that, but game design stuff.

Matriarch Serene Zalia
Serene started the challenge running. On the other side of the island, her first donor waited for her.
Serene traveled with him to another island, and Serene proved to be a natural when it came to romancing the young merman. The two quickly fell for each other, and Serene woohooed with Alexander.
Shortly after Serene found out she was pregnant, Alexander vanished into the sea. Serene didn't know why he left, but it was possible that he didn't have a choice.
Immediately after cleaning herself up, she lost control of her bladder again.
There were nights where she wet herself in her sleep and frequently had to use the bathroom.
Some nights, she almost made it to the bathroom before losing bladder control.
Serene was a nature lover and lived off the land. Unfortunately, her tendency to eat the raw food she grew was the root of her bladder issues. So, she started cooking her veggies.
It wasn't long before she went into labor and Alden was born the day of Spooksfest.
Along with her preference to live close to nature, Serene preferred breast feeding over bottle feeding.
If Serene had her way, she would have settled for a family with Alexander and Alden.
For Spooksfest, Serene dressed as Princess Leia and spent the night watching over her little Alderaan, ensuring no harm would come to him.
Serene's painting eventually paid off and she built a nursery for Alden.
The garden helped with the expenses, and Serene went out to tend to it in spite of thunderstorms and monsoons.
When she needed someone to lean on, she had the company of Alden. Even as a baby, he brightened her stormy days.
It wasn't long before Alden aged up to be a toddler. The time seemed to fly by.
Alden was quite the charmer as a baby, and he had a lot of love to share as a toddler.
The first thing Serene did was teach him his basic needs. Alden often tried to cheat.
The things he learned, like the importance of sleep and eating blew his mind.
Eventually, his mind couldn't take much more, and he began to struggle with learning his basic needs. Too many flash cards.
Serene gave him a soothing hug and that made everything better.
The next thing Serene was determined to teach Alden was the potty. She didn't want him to struggle with accidents like she did. Unfortunately, Serene was not a good potty instructor.
Of course, Serene gave Alden a big hug, and that helped to soothe his feelings about having an accident.
Serene: "It's okay. If only you knew how much I struggled while I carried you as a nooboo."
To help Alden through the ordeal, she taught him shapes with the blocks.
Serene: "And that's a square block."
Serene: "And it's yellow."
Alden's thoughts: "Looks like the color of beach sand!"
Alden's thoughts: "I'm hooked on blocks!"
Serene: "As you can see, some blocks aren't quite squares or triangles. Those are trapezoids."
Alden's thoughts: "My mind is blown out of this world!"
It was Friday evening and the end of the week. Serene read Alden to sleep so that he could start the weekend off well-rested.
Serene: "And that's when the Astronaut began floating into space..."
Serene: "With him, a dragon flew through the cosmos in an orbit that would never end."
Serene's thoughts: "I totally ripped off another story. I have no idea what the author was thinking when he put an Astronaut in a T-Rex suit and had him ice skate on the moon. Alden will never know the truth, but most importantly, he's asleep."
Saturday morning, Serene had breakfast with Alden.
While Serene tended to the growing garden, Alden began doing things on his own to care for himself. He found ways to meet his own needs instead of throwing tantrums or crying.
He made his own fun.
When Serene finished tending to the Garden, she taught Alden please and thank you. Alden learned to be well mannered very quickly.
Serene also taught Alden how to apologize. He loved learning these new words!
Serene started teaching Alden how to talk, but some of the things Alden said sounded familiar, like the kinda things she said when she stubbed her toe that one time.
Alden was starting to get frustrated, so Serene gave him some space. While she painted, Alden played with his toys instead of throwing a tantrum.
Once Serene finished her painting, Alden used his words instead of his tears to ask for food. Serene was happy to help.
Alden: "Mommy, food please!"
When Serene returned to painting, Alden happily put himself to bed for a nap.
Serene finished her paintings, and woke Alden up to give him a bath. Despite spending all his time in the little nursery, he started to get a little grungy. Alden loved the attention.
After his bath, Alden tried to sneak off into the ocean. Serene grabbed him before he got far. He's a very young merboy, and he doesn't have his fins yet. He really had no business in the surf.
Once again, Serene read Alden to sleep. He had most of his skills fairly well developed at this point, so she unlocked the nursery gate for him.
Alden woke up halfway through the night because he needed to potty. Serene had a third eye for things like this and got out of bed before he could start crying.
Sunday morning, Serene and Alden danced together on the beach. They were both terrible at dancing, but that just added to the fun. When the power ran out, Serene taught Alden more of his basic needs and worked on helping him develop his skills. Late at night, Alden woke up in the middle of the night because he was hungry. Serene didn't have as quick of a reaction to him entering her room. None the less, she woke up and listened to his question. Once again, Alden used his words to ask for help instead of throwing a tantrum.
Alden: "Mommy, hangry!"
Even though Serene wanted to spend every moment possible with Alden, she had to paint to raise money for the household. Alden seemed to know this, and if there was something he could do on his own, he did it without crying or throwing a tantrum. He wanted to spend time with his mommy as much she wanted spend time with him.
Eventually, Serene began romancing the next merman that would be a donor.
With the Nooboo Maker 3000, Serene was confident that she would conceive, but her first attempt at conceiving failed. It was almost like the simverse was trying to say bring back Alexander and give up on the challenge.
Eventually, Serene embraced becoming a mermaid, so that she could try sleeping in the ocean to make more room for the growing family. After a few tries, she was able to conceive a child with Dylan Zalrian.
Serene made many sacrifices to paint and raise money to improve the nursery for Alden, but Alden didn't want all the new things he got. He wanted to spend time with his mom. Alden could feel the rift between him and her grow.
Alden started to act out and began throwing tantrums to get more attention. When Serene tried to hug it out, he wouldn't have it. Once Again, Serene made sacrifices to begin buying everything he needed as a child, but he didn't see what she was trying to do. He didn't understand that he needed a new bed. Alden was growing fast, and Serene knew it.
Serene sat on the bed, in the dark after the power reserves ran out. She read Alden a bedtime story in a nursery that was growing bigger, and her bedroom grew smaller. To make room for the larger nursery, she had to give up space in her own room. She was expecting another nooboo.
After Alden went to sleep, Serene sat on his new bed and watched over him for a moment. He would never know that she gave up a few minutes of sleep just to make sure he was alright sleeping through the night.
Part of why Serene spent so much time painting was because she needed to move her study too. There just wasn't enough room in the house for her study and the nursery, and making sure Alden had everything he needed was more important than keeping the study in the house. With the funds she raised from painting, she built a pavilion that would act as her new study outside.
While Serene slept off morning sickness, Alden looked at his story books. He sat quietly as the lights flickered on and off. There was another monsoon outside, and the power reserves frequently ran out and replenished as the solar panels struggled to keep up with the electricity consumption. Keeping the power on was one of Serene's priorities and another thing that kept her away from Alden.
Alden wanted more attention, but he had everything he needed to keep himself busy in his nursery. Despite Serene's absence, she did provide him with everything he could possibly need or want, except the attention he wanted and needed.
It was close to the end of the week, and Serene finally had her study ready. Once again, she put Alden's needs before everything else. She couldn't let him wander around her study without carpets to cushion any potential falls. Lava rock pavement could be painful without propper padding. Alden started by watching his mom paint. He finally got to see what she was up to while he was alone. Most importantly, he got to be with her and socialize with her while she painted.
While Serene looked at her art in frustration, Alden twirled around as he danced next to his mommy. For Alden, everything was finally perfect again even though Serene's painting wasn't.
Alden: "And I really love the blocks. They're my favorite!"
Serene stopped her painting to make sure she listened to all of Alden's words.
Serene brought Alden with her into her study. She had some big plans for a beach playground and began working on another painting to raise the funds. Alden decided that he would help by making his own artwork.
Alden made multiple messes, and each time he did, Serene hugged it out. She reassured him that she wasn't trying to ignore him.

Serene returned to painting while Alden danced at her side, but she started feeling it happen. It was go time.
While in labor, she carried Alden back to the nursery and had her next child.
Before long, Erik was born. He was a miracle baby that took three attempts to have.
After giving birth to Dylan's Son, Dylan's evil doppelgänger called.
Fortunately, Serene was prepared to lose power.
Zephyr and Dylan would stop by often to check on their extended family. It was hard to send them away to avoid having them help with raising the children.
Alden started to develop a really bad habit of making messes. I think he just wanted hugs from his mom every time he made a mess.
The beach playground wasn't done, but it was functional. Serene put Alden in the playground pin while she worked on painting. The fence didn't stop Alden from getting as close as he could to Serene to dance. He completely ignored the slide and ball pit.
The nooboo kept Serene away from Alden more often than before. Before Serene could read Alden to sleep, he curled up on a pillow and dozed off.
But, it was finally time for Alden to move onto Childhood.
I apologize. I accidentally deleted the age up screenshot when I was trying to back track. Alden received the Loner Trait from the In-Game Trait Randomizer. He also got the creatively gifted childhood aspiration.
And Erik became a Toddler.
Erik received the Silly Toddler Trait from the in-Game Randomizer. That's the same trait Dylan had as a Toddler.

Before backtracking, I did get a few screenshots of some things.
Rohan decided to try and fix the broken collector for water. I had to stop him because he was the next donor.
Gregory Landgrab came all the way to a backwater home in Sulani to kick over Serene's trash can.
So I am loving the new likes/dislikes features that came on Thursday!! I haven’t played with them extensively but from what I’m seeing, the features are pretty cool. It gives our sims a bit more personality.

@keidra AHHH!! I do the same thing! I have a bank vault in Windenberg I have my families put their money in. Its fun to have some klepto or evil sims break in and steal it from time to time. Or those sim households withdraw when their funds get low. It makes for more difficult gameplay if their funds are low to begin with.

Oh jeez I bet you do hear some awful toxic stuff at work! I am glad students have you to talk to about their problems. And I am glad you have the Sims to unwind with! I definitely know I play the game to do just that. I work in the medical career in pathology (or the laboratory side of it called histology). We see so many specimens (i.e. biopsies/tissue/organs) removed from patients with serious medical conditions, it can get very depressing. And I have worked in morgues in the past. I definitely use the Sims 4 to unwind on bad days. I know people gripe about it not being more serious than other games, but for one I am grateful it's not!

Now for what happened in my game today:) I have been playing my Windenberg families, the Silversweaters and the Morecombe families:) And boy did some exciting stuff happen!!!!
But first some vampire drama…
I started out by playing my new evil vampire household/clan whatever you want to call it. I am actually having fun playing this group. I prefer to play goodie-two-shoe families but sometimes its fun to mix it up. This household consists of Lacrymosa (I got the name from one of Terry Pratchett’s vampire characters in his book Carpe Jugulum-it means to cause tears) but I just call her Lacy. Anyway, Lacy formed a club/clan called the Clan of Chaos that she leads along with her 2 lackeys Jasper Overstreet and Malia Intent. They basically haunt all the nightclubs in town and feed on the locals and stir up trouble, and cause fights with my Morecombe clan of vampires.
Lacy tends to fight anything and everything that moves, including her roommates. It was Neighborhood Brawl day. Lacy’s favorite holiday apparently lol
The youngest member of their group is Malia Intent, whom Lacy very recently turned into a vampire. Lacy makes her do all the chores around the house.
Lacy is the only one that works and brings home a paycheck. The game made her a police officer of all things lol. Anyway, while she was at work one day, Jasper started complaining about her to Malia.
Malia disagreed with Jasper, but only because Lacy was her vampire mom. Since Jasper was in such a foul mood, she decided to take him to the mall for some shopping. And maybe lunch
They bought a tv and new computer right after
They went back home and started watching a movie when Jasper decided to make a move (I prompted it)
But the rest of their interactions were all their own!
Ok they are cute together
One thing moved from there and they shared a kiss
I was going to leave it at that but since I have autonomous on, they had other ideas
OMG
Meanwhile, Lacy came home from work and put an end to the shenanigans after grabbing a snack
She gave both of them a vampire lecture

Then...it was time to go clubbing. They went to the Narwhal Arms. I love Narwhal Arms because the craziest stuff happens here.
This place was DEAD. Until it got a bit more UNDEAD. Ha ha
He brought along his kid brother Barnaby and Caleb Vatore was floating around
Things got a bit more magical when Simeon Silversweater showed up. I caught him helping his niece-in-law Cassandra Munch (nee Goth) do a keg stand. Which he accidentally dropped her lol
Caleb Vatore was devastated. What a waste of good alcohol!
Meanwhile, Lacy was giving the stink eye at Griffin. She can’t stand him. He’s top bat in the Windenberg and she schemes on taking over.
Its the same thing every time they cross paths. She insults his fang size
And they get into a fight
It was pretty epic
But Griffin won as usual
Griffin ran back in to get back to dancing, when his kid sister Joanna made her appearance. Looking fantastic as always and strutting her stuff. I am glad she’s getting back to life after becoming a widow.
Joanna is the lowest ranking vampire in Griffin’s clan, but check out the stink eye she gave Malia! Fortunately Malia and Jasper were too busy making gooey-eyes at each other to notice:)

Then I noticed Simeon’s reaction to Jo. I have seriously been shipping these 2. They developed a bit of a pink romance bar while hanging out in the Magic Realm.
I immediately used MCCC to switch to Griffin’s household. There was a bit of reshuffling of sims in the mean time. I had Griffin hook-up Simeon with Joanna

At first I didn't know what to do. Do I revert to earlier point or do I continue? I decided to continue and see what happens, then I thought "oh well I guess Travis will have two ghost friends/girlfriends now might be fun!" and decided to move them both back to BFF household. So I moved the urn to my lot (figured it will be much difficult to catch them spawning on BFF lot, if ever). It was a bit sad at first because Liberty would always spawn sad.
Summer was also sad but with her it was easier because my sim's (Rosemary) friendship meter with her was maxed already and I just invited her to my household.
And then she was back in pool on BFF lot
But then I thought "wait, isn't Rosemary a witch? Wasn't there a spell that brings sims to life? I've never done that before!" So it become a Revival Quest, because Rosemary didn't know the spell yet. So after a week of pestering Morgyn (Morgyn was not impressed) and some tome searching, Rosemary got her hands on the Necrocall and Dedeathify spells.
Meanwhile Liberty was waging war onto all the plumbing available to her.
It took quite a bit of effort to get her move into household.
But finally I managed to move her first into Rosemary's household and then back to BFF
And after Rosemary plopped the gravestones back to their lot and cast the Dedeathify spell on both
Everything went back to normal
Btw if you ever want to return someone from dead via this spell, be sure that the ghost belongs to yours or other household first (meaning they appear in household as member), because otherwise you will be able revive them, but they will be forever stuck in that invisible household for ghosts and they won't appear as separate household anywhere on the manage household panel. (had to redo a portion of this Revival Quest because of this little detail.)
The Star Accolades Event was held in Club Calico for the first time. Famous singer Britney won an award that night.
Dane got promoted to "Champion Gamer" (Level 10 of Tech Guru-Gamer branch). Using the reward item for his promotion, he participated in a professional gaming tournament and won third place. He also started making his own game using the reward item that he received from a previous promotion.
Jordi was working out in Skye Fitness, and then he saw famous actress Julia Ann. He has a crush on her, so he asked for autograph and selfie.
Erik co-starred with Julia Ann as her leading man in a TV show. She's seven Sim years older than Erik. No one noticed that Erik has no reflection when they were rehearsing scenes. Julia Ann's celebrity status rose to "Proper Celebrity" after shooting the scenes with Erik.
After the TV shoot, Erik met up with Dane in Orchid A Go Go. He drank from a paparazzi making sure no one could see him doing it. Not contented with it, he used his vampire powers to make her need to pee.
Jordan co-starred with Nikki, a new actress ("Rising Star" status), in a TV show. She's Johnny Zest's girlfriend.
Jordi and Darling had a Love Day date in the restaurant-inn in Newcrest. They messed around after eating.
Markus and Sofia had their Love Day date in Discotheque Pan Europa.
After the date, they went to the Myshuno Meadows where they could be more private. They messed around in the observatory, and they both lost their virginity.

So from a player standpoint, not an in-story one, I got so fed up with Cassie and Ivander that I straight up deleted them both. ( Also, I realised after I deleted her that there was still the original Cassie in the game, she was a ghost, and lent some credence to the idea I had some time back that straight up duplicating a Sim premade occasionally messes up something in the code and breaks one of the two, as I theorise happened with Ezio and Morgyn. ) Basically what happened with Caleb and Morgyn the first time they got married happened to Gabriel and Cassandra, that is after a point their relationship became just a lot of off-hand woohoo.
( They'd have had 3 kids by the end if I hadn't flagged her not to have more kids. )
Anyway, this marks the first time I've ever been a vengeful deity and straight up deleted a played Sim. It set me back a ways because Ivander was our heir, but I got Gabriel someone else and they've had another heir. This one's the J name, because I did eventually put Cassie and Ivander back in for story reasons ( I've had so many legacy saves corrupt that I'm obsessively consistent about taking save back ups lol so I had a copy of them in my backups ).
Also the Plum Tree app's annoying me again so back to Family Echo with me. Like why is it so many steps to add someone new to the tree? Just why. If I knew enough Javascript I'd make my own tree app because Family Echo also isn't quite right either.
Anyway. HUGE update warning. No square cropping because there are so many I can't care any.
This is Gabriel's new lady fran, Branwen. She has a twin, Dove, who was supposed to found the Ciresi legacy but ended up spending a lot of time being a mermaid instead. Yeah lol as you can guess she's a reeeeally old Sim of mine.
Avery does not look impressed.
Strangely, she aged up to elder and suddenly became a Chinese dragon, Idk.
This was not a pose or anything, they just aligned this way on their own idling.

Branwen's twin sister Dove is a mermaid, and it kind of looks like she's telling Gabriel here that she's one too lol She actually isn't, she's just got the leg scales tattoos to simulate that she is one. I kind of wanted her to be a spellcaster-mermaid hybrid but ended up leaving it alone. So we can just pretend and I'll write it into the story.
Went on a date to Koloa Seaside ( also by jenba / Origin ID silrosse ). And Kaylie, Freya, and Ellen were there. Right behind Gabriel.
Then we got Morgyn at the bar, and naturally that'd be the first place he went. ( I heard the teleport noise, and his voice and was like "Ezio?" but no. )
They ended up not far from Gabriel and Bran either, and Morgyn spent half the evening glancing at them off and on like there was a Problem. ( Okay, IC, there is. Lol Morgyn's probably like, who is this, isn't he married? Is that who he married? Wait Im confused. That blank stare is Morgyn's panic face. Either that or the murder face. It can be either one. Pray you don't know which one. )
And behind HER, they got, freakin, Ari and Nathalie! Can't go anywhere without half your extended family showing up LOL
Cecily is not impressed with Bran. Actually, they don't really get along, it's like they talk but their interactions don't grant as much friendship points as normal, like how some Sims pairings have huge jumps in friendship bar? But the reverse. And honestly there's no logical reason why they don't get along, they just don't.
Tbf about it though, Hilda's made friends with L and enemies with Simeon, so you know. I don't know how does this game work.
We had the Festival of Light happen, so I went ahead and sent the lovebirds to the Festival. They rapid cycled between sentiments here, got the wish one and then...
The first kiss at the festival of light sentiment, and then something overrode that one. Lol
Gabriel pulled an Ezio, and actually autonomously proposed to her at the festival, but she said no because they'd just had their first kiss that day and ykw fair girl. Gabriel didn't take it too hard, thankfully. And I was just like "Nooo, nono, trust your watcher, we have a plan here!"
We went through a week of gameplay, and then did another date on that Friday. Saturday? Idr. ... Sunday, apparently. Anyway, tried a different restaurant this time. I call it Prima, but it's called Modern Restaurant on the gallery. By Gemma_033. Gorgeous place, needs some tweaks though.
Morgyn also followed them to this one.
Since they almost starved to death waiting for their meals at the restaurant, I decided to bring them home for this. She said yes this time.

Also, I rediscovered and reinstalled the studio effect player and had some fun building custom fireplaces. You know without the temperature-altering fire. Hilda came by in spring, it was a cold day, and lit the fireplace. Gabriel proceeded to almost overheat next to it two days later. >_> I deleted the fireplace and built a new one.
Ezio seems less than pleased to be doing this again.
This honestly gave me feels. It really did. It was so nice to have them all together again, and my heart just did that thing where it threatened to explode.
It was honestly hard not to put her in the same dress Cassie wore but, we found something else lol. Also a Sifix, go figure. The tiara is a bonus, made by batsfromwesteros. Also, Diaval was at their feet for the vows xD

NOOBOO! They're the first Eisensterns to wait until after marriage to have a nooboo. Omg. xD Like even Cassie was pregnant during their wedding.

Akira came out and gets along decently with Branwen, so that's cool. I'm just imagining this conversation, "Soo... who were you talking to?" "Er... your great grandfather I guess." "..." "..." "... grandpa does that too." "Oh. Neat."
And the little monster is a girl, her name's Juno. Juno is the name of the wife of Jupiter in Roman mythology, she is the queen of the heavens, protectress of marriage and women, and goddess of finance. The name's meaning is unknown, but may be related to an Indo-European root word meaning youth.
The J name selections in Nordic languages were also dismal. So we got another Latin.
She seems to really like Cecily, it's always Cecily Juno goes to first. But! She is INFINITELY less annoying than her older brother. Omg. And like it wasn't even anything about him, it was just the precise way that his autonomy was set up to fire, I... that child did things that made 0 sense constantly. ... okay, well, that one time he for whatever reason rejected a joke Gabriel made ( Gabriel's comedy is capped out and Ivander wasn't in a bad mood ) REALLY didn't help his case much.
Also Juno sat down on the floor and ate. I've never seen a toddler do that, I was pretty sure they couldn't.

Gabriel fixed the dollhouse for her and she was just ecstatic. And seems to enjoy talking to her dad just as much as talking to her mom. Good.

PHEW, but, caught up with current gameplay now, and we're back where we were in-game before I dropped Ivander and Cassie, so, cool. And no, this is not the last of Cassie and Ivander we'll have seen, probably. c:

Given that he's looking for a wife, I decided on Kelly Bundy (Married...With Children). Sure she's a bimbo, but they hit it off.

Sadly, Ernest's attempts at getting Erina (Food Wars) to like him often fails due to being erratic and hot headed at the same time.

I decided to name Hugo and Kelly's daughter, Christina, which is the name of Kelly's actress.

Oh look, there's one of Grim's ancestors, Rain! Unfortunately she's a vampire and died in the sunlight. Poor girl, she died like her sister.

I'm back from my break. This game became quite busy and chaotic with all these children, so I barely did good pictures in these 24 sim days.
A little bit of background story. In 1954 the Miracle of Bern happened, where Westgermany won the 1954 FIFA World Cup Final surprisingly. This success help the citizen to a better connection with the young democratic westgermany and restored some faith for the future. Also the Nutrition status became pre-war-like, but also something happened which we called in german Fresswelle (eating wave) and the germany citizen became overweight, which was a sign of wealth in those years. The game support this and my sims got thicker in the game.
1954/1955 - the treaty of Paris brought back souveranity (except for Berlin and a few other cases) and ended the Allied occupation. Also the West European Union was founded.
1955 Return of the last tenthousand prisoners of war (sovjet union), many of them has trouble with this new life and became criminal or died early from the hunger years. Since the dices made no longtime prisoners of war in my game, I ignore this event. Hallstein-Doctrin became alive, basically it means no treaty when recognize officially eastgermany.
1956 Referendum of Saar. This brought back the Saarland to Germany in 1957.

Christmas in 1956 had a big surprise for all, the family bought a television, which was quite expensive compared to today, I think it had the price of 2 or 3 monthly salary.
During the post war years, the houses needed to be built fast, but they lack of good quality material, which will revenge in the later years.
I didn't count how many time this toilet was already broken.
Annemarie and Hans have now 5 Children (1 girl and 4 boys) and the next child is already produced.

I wish sims could run/ walk jog together - like Mt Komorebi walking trails.
This was the closest I have ever come to getting Quin and Rohan to do it (I think because they started from the same location, thanks to overlapping teleport, and their fitness levels are the same. But it is terribly hard to replicate and I can't if I include Beowoof. I think they would run together - they seem like that kind of couple.
Brindleton Bay is the best world (especially when you don't have seasons making it miserable and cold.)

But he is happiest and most inspired at home with Rohan (who is sporting some very interesting tan lines in this shot - they look like stockings)
Apparently Rohan was feeling inspired too as he asked Quin to try for a baby autonomously - Quin was happy to agree.
I was just fooling around with clubs and testing mods so he inadvertently might have. I have no idea.
And cuz he was feeling very confident atm he just had to go and make demands.

Success. Though judged by that reaction I don’t think he agrees with me making him play the hero.
Then I just wanted him to throw heart confetti at Grimmy for lols.
But I guess my stupid club rules kicked in cuz he autonomously decided it was a perfect time to fight.

For some reason I find their first impressions hilarious (one mod I was testing). Axel has a warped sense of what is funny.

My memory says that the second save one had smaller eyes than the others, and the current save one may not have the heavy eyelashes. Other than that, no changes at all. And since she blinked, I am relying on memory for the differences.

I see no differences.
So.... absolutely does not prove my theory in any way. My new theory is that maybe the genetic code changes were made per game whenever they were made, so that any premade child aged up after that point is identical, while there may have been more variation before. The Alexander who does look different was aged up in 2017 or 2018, while my current save was aged up in 2020 and the test save one in 2021. For most of the others, all of them were aged up this weekend except for the second save's Olivia and Billie and Alexander, who were in a game with auto-aging on for all sims that hasn't been played since early 2018.
Thus:
Ezio is an active spellcaster. His children all were born with weak bloodline.
Bryn was not born a spellcaster, but became one later. Her children were born strong bloodline, and most of them were also born spellcasters.
Her son Ari has strong bloodline, and though his wife is not a spellcaster, he is, and he has a bloodline trait, so their son Ragnar has ancient bloodline ( but was not born a spellcaster ).
Meanwhile, Cynemaer was also not born a spellcaster, and never became one. Despite also marrying and having children with a spellcaster, his weak bloodline trait disappeared, because he is the one with the bloodline trait and is not an active spellcaster. So his children Adriana and Kurtis do not have strong bloodline like some of their cousins.
Adriana married King, who happens to have a weak bloodline trait from his father, but he is a vampire like his mother and this trait did not pass to their son Johan. If King was either a spellcaster, or a human Sim, this would've passed down, and would've become strong if he was a spellcaster.
Because Kurtis is a spellcaster, his children should have weak bloodline and as long as they don't end up a different occult or human, it'll become strong in their children.
Likewise, Freya's one blood-related son Andor is half-alien, and did not inherit Freya's bloodline trait because Freya isn't a spellcaster. I suspect he wouldn't have inherited it even if she was a spellcaster, given he's half-alien, and the game does treat them like a different occult but I may be surprised. Stranger things have happened, and being fair, Cynemaer was born a vampire ( as was King ). Unfortunately these different-occulted Sims can't pass down bloodline traits because they can't also be spellcasters.

Ha, I love the Narwhal Arms too, for that very reason! It seems like most drama happens there. I catch the married Windenburg couples cheating on each other left and right, random hookups in the closet there, drunk sims falling over each other on the dance floor - hilarious. And only at the Narwhal Arms!
And it's looking just as crazy in your game, too! I can honestly say I never would've thought to see Simeon Silversweater lifting Cassandra (Goth) to do a keg stand there!
@Daephene The premade kids in my game also age up looking like yours. I rarely, if ever see any variances in their faces so drastic that they'd warrant a second look. Same hair, same eyebrows (for the most part), same faces.
The Orange (and Alexander) she posted is from my save. It's an ongoing one and still active. He did indeed age up with the cake pretty much like that (as opposed to hulking out like he usually does), and yes, I did fix Alexander's ears. If you want this particular Orange, I can link you to his tray files - I don't plan on sharing any more sims to my gallery.
It's definitely the original premade Orange aged up, with no adjustments to his face, just a hair and wardrobe change.
I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night.

-Izzy’s all grown up. She’s going off to college, she isn’t sure what she wants to major in yet. Watcher, time flies, I should be used to it by now, I mean, I’m going gray, and I got extra weight that I’m not quite able to get rid of, it seems. I asked Josie if it bothered her to be married to an old man now, she just smiled and kissed me, she said I was still a hottie in her book. Sigh, I love that woman.
After her big graduation party, well, Izzy gave Wyatt his walking papers. He did not take it well, he was bawling like a baby and all afterwards. That boy really must have had it bad, or maybe this being his first crush and all, he just took it hard. I know how that is, I was a mess myself back then when I got dumped by Cadence before we both went off to Uni. Ah, that first teen love, boy does that take me back.

-I’m not stupid. I know, even without my two brothers telling me, which they sure did BTW, that Lacie’s way out of my league. So, her being all insecure and being so needy during her pregnancy kind of knocked me for a loop. I mean, I was really insecure as a teen, back then I had really bad acne, plus I started growing body hair young, in gym I was called pizza face or worse pizza plum and/or bigfoot. No wonder I had issues with my self-esteem as a teen. Jeez, I dreaded showering after gym class so much. My wife’s a total babe, she’s smart and beautiful and sweet natured, she’s the whole package. And I’m the worst looking Benali, trust me, I knew full well growing up that my brothers were way better looking than me. Anyway, I was really surprised to find out my wife had insecurities like I did. Just goes to show you, it isn’t really about looks or anything, I guess. I mean, they say love is blind, and I guess that’s true, because Lacie thinks I’m sexy as plum and gets kind of jealous sometimes. She told me that one time, that day when we met again after we both finished Uni, that she couldn’t hardly keep her hands off me when we were talking there in her bedroom, go figure.-
-We’re having a girl, I guess Lacie saw I was kind of, well, disappointed, I guess. On the way home from the doctor’s, she asked me if I had had my heart set on having a boy. So, I just told her that I had gotten it into my head, that if we had a boy, well, that maybe we could name him Salim. She thought a minute and said, what about we name her Salima. It’s a made up name, sure, but it sounds like Selina or Serena, and she’d have a unique name, I went to school with two other girls named Lacie and I always wanted a more uncommon name growing up, like yours. Well, I said, Samyr is pretty common I think. Not around here, she answered. Anyway, when I got home I took my pregnant wife upstairs and showed her just how much I love her several times. I was sure she would want to name our child some name from “The Eye of the Watcher”, like her siblings. I love the idea of having Salim’s name live on in my child.-
-Jeez, Izzy’s going to Uni. I can’t believe she’s, like, a grown woman and all now. Can it really be that long ago since she was an annoying little kid, following Kaden around all the time. Sigh, I’m starting to sound like my dad. Which, well, I am about to be a dad soon myself. I’m really nervous about it, my dad’s a tough act to follow. Kaden said so one time, he told me he hopes he can be half as good a father as ours was. Dad had it tough, having to raise us boys all alone after mom died and all. I know that must have been really hard, he had to be both mother and father to us for a long time and he, well, he’s been and still is a really good dad. I mean, us boys always knew he loved us and only wanted the best for us and all. Not a one of us ever doubted that. I worry that I won’t be up to it, that I won’t be able to parent my kids as good as I was, you know? This being a grown up is hard, just saying.-
-Salima Benali has all her fingers and toes and the doctor said she’s perfectly healthy. I can’t even describe the feelings that come over me when I hold her in my arms. I still get all filled up with emotions or whatever whenever I look at her. I think Lacie’s pretty much the same. Giving birth is a painful and scary thing, I don’t know how women ever get through it. I was scared to death for Lacie and Salima, worrying about what could go wrong and all. And having to see my wife screaming in pain and, well, it was kind of a very intense thing to go through for me and I can’t even begin to imagine what it was like for Lacie. I swear the next time she’s pregnant I will be a way better husband and make sure she is pampered and I promised myself I would not get bent out of shape no matter how she acts or what she needs me to do. I love that woman more now that ever did before, more than I ever thought was simley possible.-

-My boys did something really wonderful this year. They always got Josie a Mother’s Day card, one that said Step-Mother, of course. But this year they all three just got ones that said “mom”. I guess with Izzy going off to college they kind of knew she was a bit down, and she was absolutely overjoyed by those cards. I mean she burst into tears and everything when she read them, and she reads them over and over. I sure raised some good boys.-

@Keidra @Daephene I think Keidra is pretty accurate on the genetic stuff. the thing about comparing the premades in other player's games, is that without knowing what kinds of Mods or CC another players uses, well, it's hard to know what effect that might have on sims as they age up. For example, I use Zerbu's presets and also Meteor's default eyes CC. So those things could conceivably have some effect on how my sims age up. and it is possible that there is some degree of randomness built in, I know that with MCCC, you can set a built in randomness % on baby's genetics, for example.
