Hey everyone
Working on my Sims3 story today. I have one paragraph of my next Seven Sins (TS4) chapter written, but I think I need to play some more before I write, it'll give me more ideas. It's not so bad that I'd call it writer's block, thankfully.
question time. i now have the attraction system in game and noel is atracted to his ex moraki. her traits are clubber mean and something else.
i don't like her traits but i was curious when you dont like traits do you playthrough the story anyway or edit them?
When it comes to story writing I use traits as an idea but I don’t use them to dictate the writing unless they all seem fitting for that character. Like if I have no other ideas I’ll go by the traits, but if I have a better idea for a character trait I just write them that way.

I can go either way. Sometimes I'll change a trait if I had something in mind for the character and the trait doesn't fit. Other times, I just go with it and see what happens. What will this trait or that one inspire? Maybe I'll push myself to come up with something new and use the trait to spice things up a bit.
I meant to have these two chapters of Life is Random: A Random Legacy up sooner, but I foolishly tried to have Maleah live in a dorm for story purposes. Had hoped an off-campus apartment would be safe from the save-breaking roommates error. I was wrong. After the third time I had to restart, I gave up and moved her to a regular residential house. So far, I haven't had any issues, and have almost caught back up to where I left off.
@DeafSimmer
‘Unconventional’/found family, familial relationships and redemption are common themes in my SimLit, and also division in society comes up a lot as well. Also grief and acceptance is a common topic that props up.
As in others’ stories, I love reading about families, especially when it involves the bond (or not) of siblings, since they’re not as often written about. I’m not big on reading romance, really. I love stuff with a fantasy or sci-fi theme. I also enjoy stories about a downfall of a character, perhaps through their own ego or errors, or a generally ‘good’ person being tempted into morally dubious acts of some kind.
I honestly love when you get that perfect screenshot, with very little need to do any editing to it. (There's only a slight brightness/contrast shift) Normally I need to do a bit of playing around with overlays to get nice weather effects.
i have a mod that has parners ask if the other wants a baby. i feel bad for anthony.first he has to date then they gotta be memarried then they can talk about it.
