Very lovely and elegant bar and sitting room! @Winthorpe The vintage furnishings are very nice! Lovely sofa seating to sit and have a drink from the bar whilst listening to piano music. Very nice patterned rug and pretty curtains. The lovely flowers are a nice touch on the bar counter.
I thought I'd do some kind of traditional Australian architecture, and a Queenslander was what I chose.
I have only been to Queensland a few times, and I was once told by a local that the reason Queenslanders were built in an elevated manner was not for avoiding flooding, as people like me from southern areas often think, but in fact it is so that the air can flow underneath the house and help it stay cool. The climate there is tropical.
I haven't read into the history of Queenslanders to know if this is accurate, however I chose to do one of the very traditional ones that you see where there is nothing downstairs at all, and all living space is on the upper level.
"Leaves" artwork in dining room by @AlJay2000. Play tested. No mods, no MOO, no CC.
Once again, I am completely unable to see this build on the gallery (via the EA site) even though it has no CC. I truly have no idea what is going on with that, so again I do not have a link. You will need to search for it under my EA user ID - PriestessBizarre.
The Queenslander is a beautiful Australian style family home! @PennyDreadPriestess Very lovely exterior design, and the raised porch and steps going up to it is great! Very beautiful front garden area! The flowers, pond and the water fountain feature are pretty! The interior furnishings are very lovely! Very nice colours of the bedrooms and the curtains and vases of flowers are pretty! Very nice blossoms wallart on the bedhead wall in the master bedroom. Very nice warm wood texture of the furnishings in the study and the wall paneling is very nice. Sims will enjoy using the computer at the study desk or read books at the other desk. Very nice living room with bar and fireplace sitting area! The patterned seating and floor rug are pretty! Sims will enjoy sitting there in the warmth of the fire, having drinks from the bar and listening to piano music. Very nice open plan kitchen and dining room. with warm wood textured furniture

I wanted to share a lot I've been having quite a bit of fun with recently.
It's a voodoo-themed potions shop, designed for Sulani, using the shell of an existing premade Maxis lot, so it looks like it belongs perfectly in the neighbourhood.
The lot includes all Realm of Magic potions (excellent quality), along with all Get to Work Scientist serums, all rewards potions and even a Jungle Adventure relic, but I'll leave you to find out what that does!
Outside view:
Warning: This lot has the "Creepy Crawlies" trait, meaning anyone visiting has a small chance of becoming poisoned. Fortunately you're in the right place if you want a cure! This unfortunate customer doesn't quite seem to mind:
Checkout area:
Storage room:
Outside area includes a small garden with farmable alchemy ingredients and a cauldron for potion-brewing.
You can download the Sulani Potions Shop (The Secret Wish) here.
24 Hour Gym is a lovely modern gym! @luckyheather Very nice exterior design, great large glass windows, and the front area waterfountains feature is pretty ! The pool patio is great! Sims will enjoy swimming there or relaxing poolside on the loungers. Very nice red and white color scheme both indoors and outside. Very nice interior furnishing with the fitness items!
I have posted more on your showcase thread.
Your potions shop looks great! @RySBI Very nice interior furnishings! The potions look great on the shelving ! Very nice red and brown patterned wall panelling. The curtains and beads over the doors are pretty! Very nice design of the checkout nook! The hanging herbs and candles are nice touches on the wall and counter. The cow plant looks great there! Very nice outdoors gardening area to grow plants to make the potions.

hI @RySBI - I love this. I opened a "witch" store in my game selling potions, creepy sculptures, and witchy/gothy clothing. My spellcaster is still learning so her potions are not excellent quality yet.
One thing I'm finding is that my Sims are uncomfortable whenever they're in the store, supposedly because the surrounds are untidy/unclean. This happens even immediately after cleaning the store. I was wondering if the reek of potions might be the cause, since they are only "normal" quality. Do you know if this could be the case?

I’d love to see it if you have any screenshots! Magic shops are one of my favourites
I haven’t had any uncomfortable moodlets in my potions store like that. I’ve also played another magic shop in the past and didn’t have that problem, so it’s strange...
Is it possible you’ve missed a bit? Sometimes whatever shelf/display you’re displaying your items for sale on get dirty. (This includes the book shelf that you can sell books from).
Does your store have staff? If so you can assign one of them a work task of “clean the store” and they should automatically find anything that might be dirty. If that’s not the problem, does the lot have the grody trait?
Oh and a handy little bonus tip - even if your potions only come out normal quality, if you have the Repairo spell, you can cast it on the potion to increase its quality!
@RySBI - it doesn't seem to matter how many times I clean it, and I've searched high and low for hidden dirt. This particular store doesn't have any staff yet, but I do have staff in a number of my other stores whom I send off to do cleaning at the start of each shift.
Oh, this store also sells wooden sculptures because her husband makes them. It's perhaps not a very good lay-out, I'm not very good at stores yet.
Your spellcaster store is lovely! @PennyDreadPriestess The angled walls front entry and chequered flooring is very nice! Lovely interior design! The wall patterning is very nice and the display of items for sims to buy looks great! Very nice floor tiling on the edges.
If you have a fish tank it can cause the uncomfortable moodlet. If you do have one, try removing it and see if that helps.
@PennyDreadPriestess I love the name of your store! The mannequins look super creepy too, what a great idea.
As for the uncomfortable moodlet, it doesn’t look like any of your pedestals are dirty, but I see you have animal tanks in the store too. If one of them has died, that could cause it.
If you’re still struggling to find the source, it’s not an ideal solution, but I’d recommend hiring a staff member who can be set to clean and automatically find the problem.
I will go and check them! Thanks @RySBI . I didn't know that could happen. I also have a pet store with lots of frogs in it, and I just had not experienced that before.
@RySBI - no dead frogs. But I just discovered something accidentally.
I really didn't like the layout of the shop, so I went and rearranged it - all the dresses for sale (on the mannequins) are now on one side, and all the large sculptures on the other side, with the smaller items still on display shelves down the middle.
..... and suddenly my Sim's negative moodlet is gone! It was the layout, she obviously hated the clutter! Whaddayaknow!!
Thanks @rosemow for making my Gym sound such a great place to visit for staying fit and for having a good time when they visit Im glad you like the building design, I actually used a picture of a sim house Thanks for you comments here and in my Forum.
Started going through and tidying up my Drifter Challenge homes to share – this was Drifter 1 for Agave Abode 20x15 and originally was solely furnished with whatever my dumpster diving Drifter had found....looked much better once she gave up her freegan ways and bought some matching furniture haha!
It’s a sneaky-spacious 2 bed tiny eco home that registers as tier2/64tile but has a bonus living/dining room, & is fully set up to be off the grid. Only uses Eco Lifestyle and Tiny Living packs and I’ve also used it in Evergreen Harbour, I think it fits right into both
Not So Tiny 2/1 Eco Home is a lovely tiny living eco family home! @AliSim19 Very nice exterior design with warm colors and wood wall textures, and the roofing is great! Lovely garden bed in the front area and the bikes are great for sims to use! The flowers along side home edges are pretty! Very nice orchard gardening area in the backyard! The outdoors living, dining, grill , kids play activities table and woodwork patio is very nice!Lovely interior furnishings and very nice layout! The brown is lovely and warm! Very nice wood texture of the furnishings. The living room sofa sitting area is very nice for sims to sit and rest near the fireplace, watching tv and having drinks from the drinks tray. The shelving is very nice. Very lovely bedrooms! The teddy is cute in the kids room!
Thanks @AliSim19 I bet you had a great time there... I wish I had a place like that at any stage of my life
I Love your new Eco home the design is beautiful and I love all those warm colours...so stunning! Do you mind if I pinch the idea for the bedhead sometime its Fab!
And yes, luckyheather, so many great memories! Feel free to nick whatever ideas you like, I’m not sure you need extra inspiration but you’re more than welcome 😉
@RySBI omg I love your voodoo shop! I've been wanting to play around with a similar idea, though more of a "witchy" type shop. @AliSim19 I just adore your eco home and it reminds me of what the background homes look like in Evergreen Harbor when you modernize it! I've been wanting to try my hand at more modern/eco-style like homes.

@rosemow has mentioned that her artworks can be resized - is this the same for all artwork, or only some? And secondly, how do I resize it?
Thanks in advance everyone! You're all so helpful and patient every time I ask questions.
Hello @PennyDreadPriestess
All artwork ( and all objects in build mode ) can be resized. This link explains what keys to press
