It is a very stylish modern apartment
Hey everyone It's been a few months since I ever posted anything new I've created. No I didn't quit I just didn't felt like sharing them as-is. Though it wasn't like there was much polishing to do, either.
Anyhow I'll start with something small. A drive-in café named the Minute-Ma'am Café. It's of modest size to most other buildings I created for the neighborhood, and a simple straightforward one indeed, filling the gap without attracting too much unneeded attention(while providing good, quick service!)
Gallery link here:https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/A0209E85B6FE11EA8E74A9390CA918BD
Reasons behind the name Minute-Ma'am is as simple as it's obvious, we have a café where sims go in and out, all in a minute's notice. Or of course they can stay and play. That's up to you
As I wanted my stuff in Newcrest to be unconventional from some aspects, I built my café here in a M shaped(or W or 3 if you insist) room. All without much intention beyond avoid being boring. Though I kind of got bored trying to share it
Views of the drive-in and parking. It's not functional, of course. What it does is giving a service in the fast lane feel. Folks just come and go here.
From the back of the café, we have a fairly plain patio with s few chairs, nothing interesting in this one, but it gives sims a chance to breath some air(fresh or not) and see what's going on without getting tainted by a window Sheltered from rain, as usual.
Onto the interior. Up front is the kitchen, where the window for the drive in is closed as always! Sims can make their own coffee here without waiting on 5 orders placed before them Microwaved snacks too, but I doubt anyone will try them.
Now this is the main part. The espresso bar, where orders are taken and served one at a time. So slow, they will always need another minute.
It's not the most spacious but have enough room to contain a crowd, wander around, have a coffee, then pick a fight!
Enough 'bout that Around the center of the café we have a few armchairs for visitors to wait or rest on. Good especially if order's taking way toooo long. Oh, those brown doors leads to the restroom. Not pictured but they are clean. I swear!
Further inside we have more chairs and a dining table, good place to have desserts and enjoy coffee while remaining indoors. I first had a little bit issue getting the armchair and the coffee table to work, then I realized it's the darn hanging lamp in my sims' way. They can't work with that I had to turn to a shorter lamp. All is well.
Oops. I can't stand up because of this... lamp thing!
Anyhow the Gallery link is www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/A0209E85B6FE11EA8E74A9390CA918BD if we haven't mention it already. I had some fun working with my café, got a bit bored while uploading everything, though. Still, have some fun and sim on!
(Do wear a mask in these places IRL, we don't want risk it in small spaces like this. Save our coffee for the fresh air outside )
Anika is pretty @luckyheather She is a lovely eco living sim.
Minute-Ma'am Café is a very nice drive in cafe! @LibertyTheFree The M shape design is great! The drive thru area and carpark looks great! Very nice interior furnishings. It is very nice that there is an area where Sims can make their own coffee and make snacks in the microwave, without needing to wait. Very nice espresso bar area where Sims can order food and drinks, then either take them with them or enjoy eating and drinking at the dining table or in an armchair. It is not good that a fight happened when you were taking the photos!
@Sthenastia beautiful and very lovely, the detail is wonderful! @luckyheather your sim is very lovely! @LibertyTheFree love your Minute-Ma'am Café the roofing detail really sets it off!
Spanish Villa is a very beautiful Spanish family home! @BreeMiles Very lovely exterior design, roofing, arch windows, floral greenery on walls, and very beautiful landscaping! The garden beds, flowers, plants trees are lovely! Very nice pool area with pretty water fountain feature! Sims will enjoy sitting and resting poolside on the lounger seating.Very lovely furnishing of the interior! The colour scheme is beautiful and warm! Very nice layout! The curtains are very nice. Very lovely design of the bedrooms! The soft toy dog is cute in the kids room! Very nice living room area where Sims can enjoy playing or listening to piano music. They will have fun playing ping pong. Very nice kitchen area design! The oval island stools counter is very nice. The leafy wall decor looks very nice on the walls.
It is a very lovely and detailed family home!
Thanks very much @rosemow and @BreeMiles I enjoyed going through the new Eco clothes for men at last! Thank you
@BreeMiles your Spanish Villa is so Beautiful! The build itself is stunning and I love the colour palette used inside. Gorgeous home By the way the Link is for screenshots, I went to the Gallery to get the link to nominate your amazing home
Thanks so much @rosemow for saying that as I took ages with his clothes trying to keep a futuristic style to his outfits Thank you very much. Now I have to finish his home!
It's actually a mirrored above-ground cabin!Reflective Retreat may not fit in with the other much cooler builds around here, but it does blend into the background really well (exactly as planned)! I put it in Granite Falls as a vacation rental but it should work as a regular residential with the other pine-wooded neighborhoods like Windenburg and Glimmerbrook. (The Gallery version doesn't even need Outdoor Retreat.) I intended this cabin as my Sim's honeymoon getaway.
There isn't really much I can say for an invisible mirror box (since it's literally featureless), so here's a view where you can sorta make out its shape.
Fun fact I've never actually been to a wood cabin before, but I imagine the interior to be somewhat like this...
Reflective Retreat is a lovely cabin! @orenjiAi The mirror exterior walls are great! Very nice landscaping with the plants and flowers, and it is great that a dew collector is there. Very nice open plan interior layout and the furnishings are lovely! Very nice calming wood walls, flooring, and furniture. Sims will enjoy sitting relaxing on the sofa watching tv. and reading books. The leafy wall decor on the tv wall and pretty butterflies picture are very nice touches. Very nice wall shelving beside the bed. The plants are nice items on the shelves. Sims will enjoy listening to music whilst in bed.
It is a lovely natural themed cabin!
Hey @BreeMiles , I appreciate your comment Nice work on the Villa too. I can use one for sure
And @rosemow too, keep up the great work giving everyone a fair share of your attention.
And @Sthenastia , nice work with the apartment. That's a lovely sleek, yet modest sized one. I'll need to work harder to get style flowing in small spaces
I'm uploading a series of stuff I built for Newcrest, we had a café yesterday, so today I'm going to introduce the Library next door and then some! But just the Library today Calling it Crystal Knight Archive The name doesn't have any particularly deep meaning, I sort of came up with this name from the Library's second story being dominated by floor-to-ceiling windows, so quite crystal clear!(window washer not included!) Then there's the chessboard colors, black and white, plus gray filling the gaps, which lead to the Knight name. Well it's a cool thing not much else.
The idea of building a library featuring more natural light than my apartment balcony, I suppose I got it from some intriguing places of worship around the globe. Can't name which or what but they made good use of the way folks percept their visuals. Gosh I'm that bad at explaining things! Anyway I wanted things to be inspiringly well lit and spacious, yet retaining a peace of mind for reading, of course This also became reason behind the windows being placed in a cross.
Layouts are simple, minimalist for libraries. The point is to reserve space for nothing but that feeeel
Also a view from rear. Don't mix it up with the building behind.
Okay I might have realized that Easter is pride day for rabbits
Up from the stairs outside to the left you'll find the front door. Interior follows. We have a desk for digitized services as well as some swivel chairs to the windows. Great view if you aren't bothered by folks in the lawn.
Now this is my favorite part, heads up there's the skylight and vertical light strips going through the 3rd story. Again, great for viewing. Gives off a lot of atmosphere. A rather open view get people rather receptive, or so it does to me
Looking down a bit... There's the staircase leading down, in the other corner from the front door.
Going down... Hey Mila! It's where we get other library activities done. Web access, archive machine, chess and university tri flags.
I just got it. No one wanted to be a real estate agent. It's a burden trying to introduce stuff Next time I'll compose a draft first...
Thanks @BreeMiles! Box builds seem to be my strength. I was actually building just a regular wood cabin but I saw the Get to Work one way mirror window and now here we are. It’s not as fabulous as your lovely Spanish Villa though! The color scheme, it’s exterior, the landscaping, everything is just *chef kisses*! It’s looks so warm and authentic that I’m actually craving paella right now. Oh no!
Speaking of authentic, @luckyheather ‘s.Cyborg pilot straight up looks like he’s from TS3 Into the Future’s Oasis Landing but better, doesn’t he?
@LibertyTheFree that’s such a clean looking library! I’m a minimalist myself, so please take it as the highest compliment I can give! Also, I spy a really creative build behind your library! The one with the irregular windows—could those be apartments by any chance?
Crystal Knight Archive is a lovely modern library! @LibertyTheFree Very nice exterior design, large glass windows bringing in sunshine and great outdoors views, and the way the windows have been place in a cross design is very special. Very nice skylighting! The interior layout and furnishings are very nice. Lovely bookcases area for Sims to get books to read. They will enjoy playing chess at the library and sitting at the desk table using the computer to access the internet.
It is a very nice modern library for Sims to enjoy visiting
