Hi guys! I'm super excited for the new Magic pack and, being somewhat disappointed with mermaids, I do hope they make it better for Witches.

I want to add, that Vampires pack is amazing, it is exceptionally well done and thorough! I REALLY hope Sim develops will put as much research and dedication to Witches as much as they did with Vampires. Truly my favorite pack I'm every aspect.

To avoid disappointments, and provide our ideas, I decided to make a list of MUST HAVEs:

1. Skill tree with different Elemental magic / good vs evil / etc magic. Gives Witches variety and can be build specifically to taste, like Vampires, but without weaknesses.
2. Broom flying. Make it! Please.
3. Alchemy, self explanatory.
4. Robes and Witchy clothes (Medieval and/or Victorian style)
5. Dragons! I love baby dragons from Sims 1, so cute and dangerous. Perhaps they can be done like Dolphins, but I hope they dont dissapeared elsewhere, and stay in fireplace as sleeping place.
6. Fun and interesting spells. Magical duels, cool animation, silly spells too.
7. New magical career (astronomer / tarot reader / astrologist / crystal ball gazing, etc)
8. Lunar calendar (with eclipses, blue moon, blood moon! And telescope and astronomy charts!)
9. Familiars (cats + owl/raven/Phoenix in some bird cage)
10. SPIRAL STAIRCASES!! We need those. Also I want to build a tower and need spiral staircase to lead to tower's chamber with wizard living there.
11. Unlockable secret lot, something magical and exciting! Mermaids rabbit hole cave and diving is just so underwhelming and plain disappointing.
12. A new world! With 6-9 lots please! It's a realm for a reason, we cant have magical sims waltzing world-less around like poor magic hobos. Nah ah.
13. Magic wise, as some suggested, needs to be fire, ice, water, wind, spark, earth, life, death, curses, healings, and also fun spells (like classic frog ones, cleaning, Etc)
14. Own tombstones and new Graveyard location! Evil witches can perform spells there and maybe raise the dead, or atleast do spooky stuff.
15. Cauldron for potions and spells. @ravenspit for idea. They are a classic and fun! Witch without a cauldron is a boring/tasteless witch.
16. Curses! I know I mentioned them earlier, but lemmie clarify: throughout centuries people talk of witches with fear due to curses they put on others. So, we must have some kind of curses. Like random sickness on sim, frog, sleep spells, etc. With scared new emotion! Or atleast animation and moodlet of being afraid. And healing witches exist too. Good ones who dispell the curses and heal others.
17. Group Witch dance for bonfires, rituals, grave dances, etc. Sounds awesome! Great idea. Witch coven club that dances by fire/ritual in the night, worshipping the Moon and Stars. So cool! Mystical.
18. Ouja board @DreamCytcher idea sounds great! Spooky way to play with spirits, sims can ask questions and do scared and frightened animations, and if theres a ghost in room it answers and makes board float ominously and if you play as a ghost you get some prank options. Hehe
19. Weather spells! @StarlitDown idea. Also NEW weather type! Like thick fog, or raining frogs! I've known witches, real, who know how to control the weather. Weirdest "proof" test I had was when she made hail, rain, snow, thunder, and lightning within like an hour. So cool!
20. Beautiful bookcases, stacks of tomes, and magic books. Also, bookcase secret door! Yusss, who doesnt want a secret magical lair hidden behind the bookcase?
21.

Help me add some on the list you guys!
Thank you all for your ideas, I'll try to add names of who participated when I have time.

I love dragons so much but personally I think they should get their own pack dedicated to them and it should be in a medieval setting and have customizable dragons, and have them be real pets this time and not just inanimate objects and don't make them monster sized but they should at least be as tall as a large horse or dog. Give dragons different elements as well varying from Fire, Ice, Electricity, Nature and Darkness (Evil) Also they should save a lunar cycle for a werewolf pack as it makes most sense, not saying the moon can't be incorporated with other life states but would add a lot.

I think making witches animal shapeshifters is a wonderful idea! they can vary from owl's or raven's and fly similar to vampire bats.

Yes please give us any magical or paranormal career, I'd take anything associated with supernatural.

Also make witches and fairies have magic based elements similar to dragons I talked about.

I had this idea just now, sims can be playing with the ouija board.

It's like the Don't Wake Up The Llama (I hope I'm right) game where there's a table with four slots to put chairs. The sims that are playing ouija board can Summon The Dead, done by the action where a ghost sim jumps into the sim who summoned it. Once this is done, the other sims can ask the ghost about things from how's my luck today, to how did you die. When the game is done, just ask the ghost to leave, and everything becomes normal again.

Oh I live that idea! Can give Sims the spooked moodlet snd make them all scared, and ghost can scare them and make lights flicker xD ouja board can like jump and shake on table

Definitely a skill tree for sure! I’d love an astrology/tarot career or even just as a skill considering there haven’t really been new careers in game packs before.

I think they could really be an interesting life state if you could focus on becoming different types of witches, each specialising in certain spells that have to be unlocked depending on which route you choose to take. Kitchen witches, green witches, witches who have a talent for divination or mischief or using necromancy to summon ghosts etc.

    I love the astrology/tarot career idea! :D

I agree with everything you say, but especially the first point! TS4 gave us the best vampires so far, but I want witches to be even better and more diverse, not just good and evil. For example, I want my Elsa to manipulate snow and ice, but not necessarily bring back the dead and control zombies - that's the kind of power the Grim Reaper's child should have. I can imagine so many different branches, like elemental, lunar, love, karma, time, and death magic, to name a few. And then I may want a super witch who has mastered them all.

Buuut since this is "only" a game pack, I know I'm setting my expectations too high. There will probably be one magic skill exclusive to witches that encompasses everything, with a few additonal perks and quirks, and that's it. But yeah, that's really the most important MUST-HAVE for me, that not all witches are the same, and I also want a new magic world.

YAAAAAAS!!!! I know it has to be such a difficult task to add new worlds, especially when new features expand upon each one (like swimming and weather) but they are so much fun to get! Saving up enough magic coins in Sims 1 to buy a house in the magic world was one of my primary tasks in that game, lol.

    11. unicorns
    12. cooking/brewing cauldron
    13. new magical dancemoves/groupdance (imagine a couple of witches dancing arround a fire at midnight...the stuff of dreams)
    14. a new world? I hope so, it is called REALM of magic after all...

and so much more, much, much more...
I am sure we won't get everything we could wish for, but I am pretty hopefull about this one judging by how well done the vampires are and they were "just" a GP too.

I love the ideas! Definitely need some cool witchy group dances for ritual and fun purposes. Unicorns may not fit in though, unless they also add horses and that who knows when will happen (if ever). I'd love to make a coven of witches to gather on moon lit nights and dance around bonfire/ritual altar

yess love all these ideas- I would love to see a lot of interaction, where you have to gather ingredients for potions or spells and then cast them at a certain time of day or at a certain place. Sometimes for more powerful spells, you need the help of other witches to gain more power for the spell.

To add to #12, some kind of body of water in the world. PLEASE.

Look, all I'm saying is that if I can't make Harry Potter-style freaky scary merpeople to populate a magical lake in a magical world, I'm gonna be A N G R Y.

Ultimately good animations and special particle effects. So far the Sims 4 hasn’t disappointed... except I didn’t like how vampires had that green wire-ry effect when they command other Sims.
But there are a lot of other good effects in the game already. And I noticed in Island Living the Elementals, particularly the fire elemental had good animations. So I don’t think I'll be disappointed when it comes to fire magic.
I just hope light and dark magic can both do equal harm.
Light magic = Sun inspired attacks, that can push the darkness back.
Dark magic = Darkness and shadow attacks, that can snuff out the light.

Medieval and Baroque fashion and Architecture.
Like I said, my sorcerers are something out of an. Arthurian legend. I would like the world to look medieval and then the Fashion look Baroque.
To me that style looks elegant and more magical and more dignified and “witchy” to me.
I want to dress my sorcerer like an aristocratic Lord with a position in a King’s court.
And then Modern adaptations of the medieval and baroque style.

For a world I would love a seemingly timeless world stuck in medieval times, charmingly old fashioned but advancing. Basically feudalistic society, where you now to some one with status and please your lord and do their bidding for protection and justice against thieves and scum. France or England in the 10th century. A 64x64 lot or bigger for a castle, and then a town square as the focused neighborhood with about, 4 lots 40x40 each.
I’m going to build a Tavern/bakery/cafe, and then retail/crafting stores.
And then a forest/plains area outside of the village to search for ingredients. Maybe a small 20x20 lot to build a hovel. For an introverted sorcerer.

Which goes into my next other must haves other than magic skills, enchanting, Alchemy, and magic, i’d Like to see, a blacksmithing and cloth making become a thing.
So an Anvil working with metals to craft armor and Swords, Mace Battle axe Elaborating into a Sword fighting skill. And then Archery linked to woodworking.
Not so much that sword fighting and archery leads to death more just for sport and action, and admitting defeat.

Back to magic I would need the “Heart Ripping” spell from Once Upon a Time.
And when it comes to potions and curses, I would like those spells to be more than just “better or worsening” another Sims life. There should be a challenge.
Like if I ruined a sim’s chances of completing their aspirations by casting a curse of infertility on them and their aspiration was big happy family or successful lineage.

Spells should be permanent. If I cast a sleeping curse on a sim, and then let’s say I rotate households that victim should still remain under the curse. I shouldn’t see them walking around later on. They should be taken off the board.
And if we do “true loves kiss.” Don’t make it only the sim with the highest romance level. But the sim with the highest friendship level also can break the curse.

I would like for majik to have consequences it might be something like forgetting a first kiss to something more extreme like taking days off of a Sims life cycle depending on the majik being used by the sim.
Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not

Yes! I love those merpeople, so eerie and spooky. And hopefully from now on we will have swimming in lake/ocean/river/sea so I definitely agree itd be amazing to have mermaids in this magical realm

Familiars, which if they can't be cats (cause it's half of c&d) it should go Harry potter style and be a choice of owl, toad or Dragon.

Witches could potentionally get a magical enemy(or witch hunters) a familiar wards off. Kinda like dementors, something only witches see that will drain needs/inflict life threatening status like hysteria, dazed, mortified. A weakness could be a familiar who doesn't aid you.

    A magical academy
A special school to send occult sims to, could be active (I thought uni would come first so the groundwork for an interactive school was done but alas) or like ts2 private school where they disappear in a robe like uniform.

I also hope theirs stereotypical weaknesses for witches like green skin, warts, hydrophobia, feeling hunted

Yes to OWLS and ravens (or crows but I'd prefer ravens...for some reason) please!
I sooo want birds as pets (but not in cages!) or in this case familiars.

they need their own spell book where they are given it once they turn 16 or 18. they also have a ritual where they go to the world of magic and become a witch or wizard. there should be an event/ gathering that witches can go to. love spells should be seen as "illegal" and should give the witch or wizard bad luck for a certain amount of time or turn them into a cat or something fun like that

I want group spells, so like when u do it alone (depending on your personal power and skill) it’ll be weaker and harder to cast, but when you have a friend or whole group, it’ll be more successful and powerful. I love that idea of dancing around the fire, sounds so witchy and cool

Eh, I would just rephrase that to simply: Doing group magic should amplify spells.
I agree doing magic together would be more powerful than doing it alone, (at a certain Level). I wouldn't want my Sorcerer's power to be completely diminished if he fighting against three Sorcerers.

The Instance of 3 Sorcerers Vs 1 Sorcerer Magic Fight.
I would still want a Good chance of my Sorcerer being able to Strategically defeat the other three Sorcerer's in a Magic Fight.
Not just because they have more Power they should automatically win, If my sim plays his cards right he could win.

I feel like, only if X amount of Sorcerers cast a spell, then X amount of Sorcerers are required to undo the spell also.

So lets say Seven, Level 10, Ancient Sorcerers cast a barrier enchantment on a room that contains a powerful magical mythical Artifact, maybe it's a powerful wand or something. and your Sorcerer, or witch or whatever, needs/wants that wand. Your sorcerer will be required to gather 6 other Sorcerers, the seven of you will have to strengthen your power to become level 10 sorcerers, so you can then cast a spell to break the Enchantment.

Another example could be Three, Level 5, witches cast a spell to Curse a Human into a Vampire, or a toad, or a Pigman.
It should require three, level 5 witches to undo the spell; or two, level 7-8 witch; or One, Level 9-10, witch to undo the spell

That's how I would want them to go about it.

Love the ideas! Kids definitely need spells as well, have familiars to interact with (ravens, owl, phoenix, cats, toads, etc), and anti-witch stuff (witch hunter, like we can have vampire hunters).

🤩😆 Yea! I really hope they add group witch spells! I love that movie, and many more witch movies, so great. I also hope they will introduce levitation and telekinesis, like in Matilda, cuz spell users usually have some kind of object manipulation without directly handling them. Like, dishes magically float to sink and wash themselves, the roomba-like object that's a broom that swish swooshes dirt away. Other fun things too

I would love to see Celtic design on some the items. A ring of stones would be cool that might have some mystical qualities.
