As I mentioned here, here and here, as well as countless other threads, we NEEDS another steampunk set! BADLY. Sure, we've got a ton of stuff in Midnight Hollow and four sets dedicated to this aesthetic. However, two of them are SUPER small and the cas set hardly does steampunk justice.

So, here, I'd like to gather our ideas for a truly amazing steampunk set.

This is what I'd like to see as part of build. It'd be an attachable observatory/decor. And just to be clear, ONLY the telescope thing. Not the whole building. We have that in Midnight Hollow.

I know some people made good use of the Hot Air Balloon, placing two of them on a boat, but something like these horizontal propellers would be nice, as well. Obviously, they'd have to be large enough.

For CAS I would be SUPER happy if they'd just do an actual VICTORIAN set! Because proper bustle skirts and the like are what is REALLY missing from the Steampunk selections we currently have. Now granted I wouldn't mind a couple more hairstyles with googles, especially since I'm not real into the whole ponytail thing, but we really need some great Victorian hairstyles. And for accessories I'd like to see googles Sims can wear like glasses AND a pair of small round wire rimmed spectacles for both male and female Sims. We also need more hats of the Victorian variety! Like these!

I think the mens hats we have are actually pretty good but they REALLLLLY need some new hairstyles added to them!!!!

I've been wanting a Steampunk EP/SP/World/Compilation for so frikkin long.

Midnight Hollow came so. stinkin. CLOSE! It touched on steampunk a bit especially in CAS and with some of the rabbitholes, but we still don't have a Steampunk Plumbing/Transportation set, so WHAT'S THE POINT? That's what steampunk is all ABOUT, EA; bone up on your Jules Verne & HG Wells for crying out loud. :roll: That's like doing something as unthinkably asinine as including peanut butter with no jelly, peaches with no herb, vampires with no coffins.... >_> ....

ANYWAYS! :XD:

So yeah, if we could get a Steampunk bathroom at least, I'd personally feel a lot better. Full of copper pipes and pressure gauges and cogs/gears, and cranks and pulleys and ropes and grates and deliciousness.

But hey, clock windows, wrought iron gates/fences/doors/arches, and cage lift elevators are mighty fine, too, so a build mode set wouldn't be unappreciated either. With some art nouveau wallpapers and some nifty metal patterns for rust/rivets/steel plates/etc thrown in to give everything an extra UMPH.
And transportation? Some vintage bikes and cars? The TS3 vehicle collection is looking a tad empty....

Dang.

I'm mad now.

Granted, I'm not the steampunk-iest person so I'm not entirely convinced we need a BIG set, but I would like a few general things, mostly in this spirit:

I want the functioning objects, most importantly. For me (and I realise this isn't necessarily popular opinion), there's a satisfactory amount of CAS assets and decor; there is most definitely room for more that would really help expand our little Sims universe, but there are a lot of other things I'd like to see, too.

AmaraRena, YES to the bustle skirts/victorian set with hairstyles and those hats (I forgot to be more specific about them, when I wrote down hats. Similar to the More Magic one, right? BUT, much bigger with lots of feathers!

I think bustle skirts/dresses, in particular would REALLY flesh out this set because, in steampunk, they're EVERYWHERE! If nothing else, I'd be happy just getting a few variations of skirts and dresses.

murfeel,TOTALLY agree with you on Midnight Hollow, which I looooooove. They included a lot, like you said, but I want more! :twisted:
