3. Melonie is a married mother with a grown child who has moved out to start her adult life and a teenager finishing his last year of high school. She is not a normal mother - she is also blessed with the power of witchcraft. She is a master cook & gardener. This New Year's she and the hubby decided to lay back and relax. She started the evening with a touch of magic
Then she thought about what meal she would like to serve for dinner. For some reason firecracker shrimp sounded appropriate.
Her husband was the picture of relaxed in his pajama's all evening. He didn't need much persuading to join her for a hot, yummy meal though!
Realizing their son was out with his girlfriend, they took the opportunity to snuggle quietly on the couch in front of The Simtanic (like the Titanic only starring Kate Simlet & Leonardo DiSimco). Normally her husband would have been crying and she would have been yawning but she made an exception for the holiday and let him choose the movie.
After a little touch of magic, great food, and a romantic movie - they can only hope the New Year isn't going to be bringing them a little bundle of joy. (They are so over diapers!)

Portia and Darnell just got engaged. How could they not fall madly in love with all they share in common including the color purple and R&B music. They were originally supposed to go out on the town, but instead decided to bring in the New Year at home with a private celebration. They spent the night dancing slow until well after midnight. They were completely unaware of how long they were dancing. They were just enjoying being close and staring into each other's eyes, lost in the love they share. What more could they need. They have each other and their favorite music on the stereo.

Kate graduated high school and was enjoying mooching on her parents couch. As a fairy she didn't really want to tie herself down to a 9-5 job. While out on a walk she met Zack Durwood. The two hit it off. Her parents allowed him to move in and sleep on the bunkbed with her brother, Chris. It was a shock when he proposed at Christmas and they quickly began planning a New Year wedding. Determined to say I Do at midnight on New Years, they rented the local lounge and began inviting guests.
Dress shopping was tricky because it had to match her fairy wings and yet, parade her personality. Finally she found just the right touch of dainty meets glitter and viola! The New Years Wedding Gown-

YAY! I finally got all the entries rec'd. All I can say is WOW! :shock: There are some really gorgeous entries. Glad I'm not judging this one, besides, I always feel out of my element with anything fashion. I just like what I like and never really pay attention to what's in style or out.

Elder - Joanie McDuff - Her husband appeared in a dream to tell her he was waiting on her to arrive. She awoke startled and decided to spend a last hurrah on the town as her life bar made clear she was getting ready to join him.
After her fortune was confirmed by the dial in the bar, she turned on her dance moves and requested they play I'm Coming Home
She took a final walk along the beach and enjoyed the beautiful view one more time.
As morning dawned she ate her breakfast at the diner. Life is too short to spend the final moments cooking!
