Adding Specific Book To Library

I'm creating a Custom School with a hidden Secret Society in the basement. You have to solve a bunch of (World Adventure) puzzles to find it. One of the first is to read a specific book from the library (the school library that is, not a separate lot). The is a plaque that reads “Library Donated by the Crumplebottom Family.” as a hint that they were the original founders of the group. Reading “The Crumplebottom Legacy: A Tale” will unlock a door to allow access. The idea is that you find out about the Secret Society from the book.

I'm looking for a way to put that specific book in the bookcase beside the plaque and link it to the door. Can anybody help?

Rather than starting a new thread, I'm adding it to this one.

I've got got hidden stairs down to the basement where the Secret Society will be. Unfortunately, the hole where the stairs are hidden is showing. In other tombs I've seen, this area is covered with floor tiles until the staircase is revealed. Any idea how I can do that to keep the stair area hidden?


While I'm at it, I've got an area where a Sim pulls a torch lever to open a hidden rotating door. After they enter, there is a foot switch that will close and lock the door while going on to the next stage. I also want that foot switch to deactivate the torch switch. I couldn't get that to happen though. Any ideas?

I've seen both of those, and a number of others. Carl's guide was little more that an introduction and wasn't really of any use. The one at ModTheSims was better, but neither answered my questions.
