CAS Story Challenge!

This “challenge” is for everyone (like me) who loves creating detailed Sims (sometimes even more than playing with them) and wants more CAS challenges!

Concept:

This is a sim design challenge that challenges you to design the appearance of a sim to fit certain traits and then come up with a viable back story for them.

Rules:

1) go to CAS and select add a sim via story. Every detail in the story MUST be randomized. I use a die and assign a roll of 1-2 to answer 1, 3-4 to answer 2, and 5-6 to answer 3, but you could also use a random number generator.

2) once you’ve answered all the questions you will be left with a sim who has an aspiration, traits, job, skills, and starting amount assigned. You may decide your sim’s gender yourself or randomize it. Now design the appearance of your sim to match the details story mode gave you. Get detailed in your design! Would a sim with those traits get a tattoo? How would they style their hair? Would they wear jewelry or makeup? Design every detail of your sim based on the traits given - from their hair to their shoes.

3) save your sim to your library and write a short bio for them that explains their life up until this point and how they ended up with the story they were given. Get creative! Was your sim ever married and if so what happened? If not, why not? Why would someone whose dream is to be a mixologist be working in business? Give your sim a story that fits their personality!

4) upload your sim to the gallery and use the #casstorychallenge so others can find sims with bios and stories to download! (You are also welcome to share your creations in this thread!)

Short and sweet as challenges go, but as those of us who like to design sims in great detail know, carefully designing a unique sim can take a LONG time and having to base it on essentially randomized traits should be an interesting challenge!

Happy simming!
