Turn on/off feature is good as many dont like burglars. There might be a lot challenge that attract/disattract more burglars too. Like "High security neigbourhood" or "low security neigbourhood"

I would love a cruise/casino/partyboat sort of ship with entertainers, pool slides, casino games, and active cruise captain, sailor, steward, cook careers. There should also be a hair salon and scuba diving trips.

    1. More mundane stuff like home improvements, tools. Either kits or SDX
    2. Return of gameplay kits: water heaters and lawn mowers!
    3. Swimming pool customization, including new cleaning gameplay (also for BG), water slides and curved edges
    4. Some crafting hobbies as SP or part of a pack
    5. Generations EP
    6. Like telescopes, pool tables and billiard skill
    7. Dine Out refresh
    8. B/B kits, one each month!
    9. IF a new occult is featured, mummies
    10. Composting as BG update
    11. Spiral stairs
    12. Attics

I really want the returning of the interaction feature when sims sit up take a nap on any couches & chairs like in the sims 2. If I’m not mistaken.

I would love to see the music career expanded upon. Want to be a rock star? Start a band! Pop star? Start performing! Opera singer? Project your voice! You get the idea (even have your child/teenager/college sims do music classes!)
Item ideas for it would be:
Drum kits, more guitars (playable and decorative), DJ equipment, more classical instrument selections, recording studio gear, microphones, toddlers have musical toys (like xylophones for example)
Start having concert and performance venues, record and mix music, have your teenagers/college students be in marching bands
(You could also have like a podcast career using some of the same equipment)

Another idea for a kit would be office supplies! Printers! Water coolers! More computer monitors, fax machines, copy machines, all in ones! Cubicle items, office phones, more community board items, basic office decorum, more filing cabinet options, office lockers

    1. Single Bed Woohoo/Mess Around: Great for University Dorms, tiny houses, and more! Fair warning though, doing it on your twin bed will be uncomfortable, and your sims will feel it (ie. moodlet).
    2. Paint Reference of Sim on Mark: Are your friends boring models for your paintings but much more dynamic when the camera comes out? How about you try telling them there really isn't much difference. They just need to stand on the mark, and strike the pose of your choice!
    3. Kilt Kit: For the benefit of lads (and their lassies). ;)

I'm a massive fan of the sims occults, especially aliens. I'd love to see a skill tree for them and also maybe making sixum it's own world like they did with batu.
Perhaps with a sixum quest/story line.

    My wishes for 2023 are:
    • a singer career (semi open, multiple branches, with work from home tasks, work at the recording studio, go on tour and the basic rabbithole function if you want to follow a different household member)
    • NPC burglars who can rob you and alarms
    • new instruments (e.g. drums, saxophone)
    • new interactions and objects for kids (e.g. imaginary friend doll, playground equipment, play tag, play marco polo, play the flute, lemonade stand, play oven, clapping games, teach nursery rhymes to toddlers, model railroad for multiple Sims to play together)
    • new interactions and objects for elders (e.g. bingo, special stories they can tell their grandchildren with strong sentiments attached, walking with a cane, write last will, funeral event)
    • new hobbies for kids and up: pottery, sewing, ballet, chemistry set for teens and up (kids already have one), more baking recipies, magic tricks)
    • more jobs (e.g. banker, dentist, model, day care, movie director, VIP manager)
    • more parttime jobs (e.g. janitor, spa specialist, delivery person, maid, nursing staff)
    • fix the family tree!!!

Loved the clutter kit - but would love to see some baby and toddler clutter. Like nappy packs, empty or full bottles, wipes - stuff you would just leave lying around a nursery or anywhere really. Would love to put it all over - like chaos - when you don't have time to tidy up - like it is when you have babies - especially multiples!

Alot of scrambled thoughts here. The end of 4, which was a disaster from the start imo, would be an awesome way to start 2023. I am willing to have a continuation of 4 though, if it means they are going to come out with a stable 5 which doesn't feel rushed and too much like a bare bones and incomplete game. Haven't played the sims in quite some time now, so I'm used to doing other things with my time anyway.

Hopefully, when 5 does finally come out, it is an open world game like 3. Which gives a lot more realistic feel of being immersed in a "real" world. If that isn't possible, then, as a minimum, a partially open world in which I can visit the neighbors, the neighborhood bar, the park, or the grocery store without waiting for the destination to load. Constantly waiting with loading screens every time I wanted to travel somewhere was a real pita which eventually became too much to endure to even play the game. Really took most of the fun out of the game for me.

Dealbreakers for 5 would be no open world, multiplayer. and a subscription game.

Hope everyone enjoys a lot of fun and happiness with friends and family during the upcoming holidays. B)

Apartment buildings. They're already in the game, now let me build them. Being able to own them and rent out the apartments would be awesome, but simply being able to build them and put them in the world would make me really happy. This would go together with hotels really well and would in my opinion make for a great expansion pack. I may or may not have entire blocks designed and waiting for this...

More independence for other households. It would really add into immersion if NPC sims could leave neutral households and even form new ones. At the moment households adopt kids until the max size of 8 is reached and then they're stuck until someone dies. Sometimes they kind of "ask permission" to go on a date with someone but as far as I know, that will never lead to anything else unless I manually put them together.

Height differences. I know this will never happen but one can hope, right?

New jobs and maybe give a tweak or two for some of the older ones. The original jobs quite often feel a bit outdated compared to later additions. Some of the pay scales are downright ridiculous.

I'm kind of lucky in that 4 is my first Sims, so I don't really miss the open world. From the first moment I've played it, it's a feature that I've thought would be really cool, but I've made it this far without it. Multiplayer... That might even be cool, just as long as it's an option and not forced upon. And subscription... yeah, that would be it. That would be The Dealbreaker for me. Hell, I'd rather buy expansions for more total money than what would go into subscriptions fees over time.

Either one of forced multiplayer and subscription format would make me completely skip 5.

I would really like to have custom functional apartments where we actually get to build them and can have multiple families within an apartment. Perhaps an apartment itself could be handled somewhat like a mini-neighborhood. I would dearly love to be able to add more floors than we currently can. Some of the things I want to build require more floors than allowed. I'd like some subterranean floors as well as some floors that extend upward into the sky. I want to create dungeons and towers.

This and the ability to customize the boundaries of the existing San Myshuno and Evergreen Harbor apartments are a must for me.

I would love to have reflective surfaces. I know we have CC that make mirror floors but it is too reflective IMO. I would like it to be like this:
    kitchen-polarizer.jpg?format=1000w

The floors have a slight blurry reflection.

And it would be nice if glass was reflective. Like the glass on the windows or doors:
    aluminium-windows-500x500.jpg

It might be to much for the game to handle every surface being reflective, but at least certain floors can have a reflection. Or it would be nice if we could control how reflective the surface is.
PLEASE FIX TEENS IN TS4! I NEED YOUNGER TEENS NOT YA TEENS! (^_^)Please add Music Bands with lead singers! Please add vehicles and garages! Vehicles have always been part of The Sims.

I'd really like to see Parrots, finally. I have quite a few IRL and I'd love to have them in the game. They were in the Sims 3 as object-pets, which is fine, but obviously parrots have really complicated and interesting behavior so it would be especially nice if they could be full pets (esp since they tend to be smarter than cats or dogs ;) ). It's just a little weird that we still don't have a diverse range of possible pets, though of course the cottage living pack made it a little better.
