If anyone is interested in the map in particular, this is the most in-depth video about it that I could find:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sGQGrU8Ew0

She even reads out all the family biographies and descriptions of the lots.

EnglishSimmer is the best when it comes to that. I really hope she continues to be the main person who uploaded in depth world videos 💙

I read on the sims community post that if your house is above water (like on stilts) they can jump off of the dock into the water

    that would be neat B)

i wish we were getting resorts and movable houseboats to and sharks

it does look like it is going to be one of the best packs tho

There are sharks. They live in the deep waters and will try to drown your sim.

Totally, I kept watching reviews just to see the world - although I had to skip many "spoilers" (as in things I'd rather discover on my own :D). I think this may just beat BB as my current favorite world. And I'm so hyped about them not bringing around that darn fruit cake anymore <3

Looks great to me! I was afraid that with mermaids, swimming, several careers, a volcano and other new gameplay features, the map itself would be neglected and only have five lots or so, and now we're getting three times as much. I'm satisfied!

People love comparing everything to Windenburg, forgetting that the pack Windenburg came with had pretty much nothing else going for it, except the clubs, which aren't even as elaborate as they should be. I'll always take a smaller map with more gameplay features over the opposite, and this one isn't even small, it's medium-sized, still bigger than Del Sol Valley, StrangerVille, Forgotten Hollow, Magnolia Promenade and both vacation worlds.

This is so true! People always are so quick to compare new worlds with Windenburg but the only main gameplay feature of the pack was Clubs, which imo are pretty lackluster tbh. I'm extremely happy with Island Living. We're getting so many things from my wishlist, and this has been my dream pack for the past 5 years so. SO HYPED

I actually love Get Together and the clubs are and the features came with it are actially good if you enjoy nightlife type of living. However I wish we could atleast get 20 lots per new world.

Now that is talking about EA/Maxis made worlds and how many worlds can an player in Sims 4 make? 0. I loved the customization tools in Sims 3 as I make an world small or short depending on how I want to keep my story in one neighborhood and not spread it out all over the place as you must in Sims 4. If EA/Maxis applied this tool now I would be antonished and happy. Another thing I do love the connection but I remember that Sims 3 is an older game but if enough time was poured into it as it is with Sims 4 the same could have happened with Sims3. Also times have change and saying what may lag and what may not lag is getting old as technology now allows for developers to do an lot of things that was not possible back then. So i cannot settle for something less than what the older version had.

All a matter of personal preference. You are basically still stuck in one world in sims 3, so it's more appropriate to have many lots for all your needs in that one world. I had to use a mod to travel and have sims live in other worlds without losing relationships. I "personally" prefer sims4 many worlds (neighborhoods lol) to move to and fro. One of the things I wanted for sims 3. 14 lots in Island Living is very nice to me. I would have like that for Del Sol Valley. :)

I see two nice 20x30 that would be good for sims to stay at on holiday that I'll probably have to set as generic lot initially; hopefully zerbu can update the change world type mod then I could change them to rental lots.
