Hmmm... GP06 patch with a few of 18th anniversary content.
Last year we got the Toddler Update with the Vampires Prepatch.
The toddler patch was nothing to do with vampires. Toddlers came out weeks before vampires. I know you are so certain we have something major coming for free but I really doubt it.
Actually the toddler patch was right before the release of the Vampire pack: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/908758/january-12-2017-patch-notes -- Toddler patch was January 12, and the Vampire Pack was released 1/24/17; there were no other patches between. There could have been a relationship based on the Vampire age-up coding. Doesn't mean that we'll get anything big in the February patch though; it's been a while since we've had any sort of Boost week or Challenge. (Would love to have some of the old ones come back because there are so many collections that can't be completed.)

Agreed. I don’t think there’s any reason to believe we are getting anything cool for free this year.

Actually the toddler patch added new teeth and I think some were vampire teeth and it was 2 weeks before vamps.

I guess. But I think the reason would be that EA likes to make money, Even though I truly believe seasons (or at least weather) would be very well received in a free patch as it would foster good will towards the company, I have my doubts they’ll do it. Maybe cars or something else random could come for free?
I would eat my own hat if we get cars for free. I’m not even sure due to the layout of the worlds functional cars are a possibility. It is immersion breaking though having no cars, car pools amd school buses. This game doesn’t like transport!

its simple, they function the same way they did in the sims 2. The sims 2 did cars better then the sim 3 as there were driveways and car door animiations. Not just a sim walking to the curb and teleporting into the car. You wouldnt be able to watch sims cars going around town but having them drive on or off the driveway and then off down the street then you hit a loading screen .

But the problem with the worlds of TS4 is there's no functionnal road.

I'll play along! I like speculation! Fact or No fact!
I'm really hoping for a CAS patch....It's kinda awkward that the CAP function is so much more detailed than CAS which is one of the main hooks of the Base Game. More variety in hair colours is seriously overdue. I needs my Strawberry blonde/Violet/Plum hair colours!
Are there any followers of Sims Community? The Sims mobile has recently added a patch which adds basic stories for relationships into the game when you trigger an interaction with another Sim (ie a mean function triggers a story where you can either be frenemies, arch nemesis or a story where the Sims fall in love. It would be useful to add a more complex (and optional) function like this into the game. Just in time for Feb and Valentine's day eh?
Finally burglars
Or maybe a Valentine's Day Challenge (Tho I hate challenges, they should rather improve the Base Game permanently than just having temporarily challenges)
Cars and Garages would me amazing. The game is a life simulator yet sims cant own or use cars.
Simulating life has nothing to do with cars. Not everyone in the world has a car.
Not everyone has pets, lives in a city, is part of a club, or is a doctor either. What's your point?
My point is that this version is not now, or ever will be set up to drive cars like in past versions. At best, maybe.....maybe, they will be objects like any other object that can raise a skill or serve a purpose, but never, ever for cruising the hood.

Perhaps. For the first time, lots aren't explicitly connected to the road. Maybe we won't get cars, or maybe we will. I'd like to keep the possibilities open for the more plausible options (CASt probably won't come because they'd have to go back and apply it to everything, for example). And I think transport-based cars could still be possible with some tweaks. I mean, I thought toddlers would never come back, and I was wrong, so I'm more open this time.

Cars could be a great addition, even if they are only objects. Forget about driving or transportation and think on what can be done with a car object and ask the devs for that.
For example:
1. mechanic skill
2. auto restoring skill
3. listening to the radio
4. making out
5. woohoo
6. catching teenagers making out
7. star gazing in a convertible
8. child/toddler pretending to be a racecar driver with animations (similar to play object with pirate or space animations)
9. décor (having a car in the driveway for realism)
10. a place for your cat to climb on (my cat always left footprints on my hood)
These are just a few off the top of my head. I'm sure other players could think of more.

If it hasn't occurred to those people yet, then let me enlighten them. There is absolutely no form of transportation in this game and there probably never will be. No cars, no bikes, no skateboards, no boats, no buses, no trains, no planes, no hot air balloons, nothing, zip, nada!
There might be exercise bikes or roller/ice skates and, if we're lucky, cars as objects, but no forms of transportation.
For Pete's sake, they added a boat to C&D but your sim doesn't even get into it before they teleport.

I'm wondering if you said the same about toddlers because I heard similar reasoning with people saying things like "this game was never built to implement toddlers" "Sims cant pick up babies they would just put them in their inventory this is why babies are locked to the bassinet you will never get toddlers" and yet we have toddlers if they put the time and effort I say its possible will they who knows.

Yeah, that wouldn't be surprising considering that they just needed more time to implement pools and toddlers.
